I am a visual spacial learner with a IQ that usually scores 135-147. I was stuck into gifted classes when I was 9 years old. Back in 1980. Learning this way is kind of magical, because your right side lights up, and you say ah haa. Because you instally understand it.
@Janay Monique Matthews I was under the impression that Ruf was going off a different scale; 140 sounds a bit too low to be considered “profoundly gifted” if you go by the WAIS?
As a hollistic thinking, gifted 28year old, that's exactly what should be done in schools, and I suffered tremendously under that regime made for students on category a.
oh yes. i remember all those 'teachers' faces and names. i still held my grudges after so many years. oh btw, play at 1.25x speed. your welcome. and thanks for the vids, I'm gonna learn this spatial business thingy, it's a new concept for me(28 yrs old)
I’m a visual spacial learner, but I’m also very aware of time and how much time things take to do. Just like I love fitting things together, I love fitting things together in time lol
139 V/S learner and thinker. I have synesthesia and senory issues as well as dyselxia and AuDHD. My mind accesses information as if I'd subconsciously filed it away exaxtly where it always goes. With that, I'm able to find similar ideas and concepts as if they were just there. My children call me the Tetris God. My mother who is very anxious about cars complimented my driving and that was so wonderful. Being dyslexic, I have trouble with left and right, but I have an internal compass that doesn't need those labels. I know where I am in time and space. Also, I memorize words as photos, not individual sounds. I would be very screwed otherwise. I also think in patterns, but mostly conceptual photographic images. I have misophonia and misokinesia as well, and it explains my ability to access and use new information and store it rapidly. Global connectivity is a hallmark of of misophonia. A blessing and a curse. I'm honestly exhausted. To add, i think in many of these styles. If it helps, im also ambidextrous. I believe that trait is related to my learning style and sensory processing. I am an ENTP and both student A and B.
I am overwhelmed by all the labels and backreasoning going on inside you and your head !! It must be exasting and so frustrating , I have felt such for 71 years with no words ,no names ,no background to clutch to ......and here's the fun fact....! As an Elementary Art Teacher at one assignment I became the Gifted &Talented pull out Teacher on top of teaching Art to the WHOLE building every child walked into my room every week and I taught my classes as they were Studio classes ! .....complicated ,thought provoking , multiple instructions to follow to complex creativity ....a9x12 piece of white paper was not the only supply source in 75% of our creative and learning experience in my room so I basically introduced gifted education to every student in my curriculum . I hated the "Gifted assignment".....In my opinion the Gifted exclusivity was the essence of entree into an Elementary school "Country club" and I do not respect country club members . Eventually they "took" the assignment away from my job description.....I could then focus on what I got my degree in....also ,my only daughter was gualified to be included in those Giftedness pullouts ,but I was told to include my child wouldn't look good....I wonder at times if her being half Seneca had anything to do with her exclusion from the country club kids
1:09:48 This is highly interesting. You predispose yourself to higher forms of being and a fully integrated brain by learning multiple language. This is very similar to the Wim hoff breathing method. Which is physically breathing to activate your nervous system. What we do physically can influence us mentally. Almost like your brain is a muscle that needs to be worked. Well about that. The brain is constantly changing creating new wiring and neural connections in the brain. And this must be intense as a kid. Because your brain is still forming. Well what if that’s the dutch as a collective society. The standards of society may influenced the forming of your brain also predisposing them to being kind. When you work out you break 5e muscle and for. stronger muscle in its place. The stronger the weight the more you rip. Well you can control to a degree how that happens with how you lift the weights, how heavy they are, etc. Well maybe you can picture happy the society as the light weight always around influencing you. Which influences your parents too. So as you grow older i. this society made by he people with people from the society all the information in your brain must be making neural connections.
Video games like minecraft , power washing ...engage the right hemisphere. Or small things like patterns on sea shells , manderbot set in nature, geometry inside flowers, patterns in geodes and rocks. Spatial intelligence in liquids ...observing how light, sound , material travel inside liquids. How liquid mold other substances, change forms, travel at different speeds, viscosity and vaporization in liquids. Chemistry is also for visual spatial learners. I wish this was being taught by a spatial learner. She is still talking like a analytical , sequential person ! Writers are also spatial visual people . They make any thing come to life, make it visually appear and give it characteristics that never existed before.
57:20 So weve created an environment where people are unstimulated While creating standards as high as 70% to qualify as passing. And 1/4 of the people can do this relatively easily i’m guessing, 45% are operating at 50% (If i could caps lock numbers I fucking would) and the other 1/3 are wondering why they can’t achieve anything. Seems like we just keep these systems going because we are afraid of change. Or maybe it’s because our society is such a mess at this point that it’s all a precariously balanced so we don’t implode. And if that’s the case shouldn’t we just like fix it? Idk it seems just like a fucking Idea which is just what money fucking is.
The issue with the MBTI is that the results of where you fall on any of the four categories are binary. This creates a scenario where individuals generally find their results to be less representative and thus useful the closer to the centerline they score. This results in the assessed personality types for those individuals being of marginal value for them, or any other figure attempting to use that information for any practical purpose. I say this as an INTP that finds the results and archetypal description to be very accurate. It's also worth noting that I consistently score no lower than 80% in any function. So the obvious corollary to a midline score being marginally representative is that scores closer to the extreme ends will be more representative.
42:35 YALL THE SATISFACTION I FELT AT THIS PART, EVERYONE ASSUMES PERSON A WILL BE AMAZING (THEY PROBABLY WILL) AND PERSON B WILL BE LEFT BEHIND BUT NAH WE FINE IN THE REAL WORLD
I think that people who can spell well, not only see the words, they have a deeper understanding of the language and how it’s organized. Some words are irregular and need to be seen of course.
ENTPs tend to be far more social and balanced externally. Most gifted tend to be internal dwellers, socially inept and highly conceptual. ENTPs are inferior in comparison. This is why INTPs and INFPs are the most accurate description of the gifted visual spatial personality.
I'm an INFJ enneagram 9 wing 1 self preservation instinctual type. On career IQ and aptitude tests I did score above average in verbal ability and in the gifted range when it comes to mathematics and computation, pattern recognition, and spatial ability. My processing speed is slow though. I do have a learning disability of dyslexia, dyspraxia, and ADHD. I'm 55 percent a holistic thinker or right brained and 45 percent an analytical thinker or left brained.
im just here in search for answer , I had an assessment test on spatial visualization , I failed horribly , and I don't like that now im on a journey on learning more about spatial intelligence , and I want to do more practice test ,.

You know someone knows very little when they have staunch opinions with zero evidence to support them. Just pure assertion and conjecture. Easiest way to point out a fraudulent thinker.
This is a lot of pseudoscience. I'm here from autoplay and wow. I totally understand why and how this resonates with people in comments, and your experiences are valid, but this is not the how and why.
@@Th3-ch0s3n0n3 but you have to explain the why how with evidence. You are just assertions “this is wrong because I said so” or “I read a study”-- please provide evidences or else you are being intellectually dishonest
There's certainly a lot of generalized statements in here, just due to the necessity of making them when talking about large populations. There are also some questionable references, such as the value of the MBTI system. But overall it's a fairly well thought out presentation that uses a mixture of anecdotal teaching and clinical experience, references to modern understanding of neurology and psychology, and cites a number of supportive studies for her hypothosis. And that's really what this is. A hypothosis. It shouldn't be taken as gospel and I have no doubt there are inherent flaws, but it is an interesting perspective that's worth a more nuanced discussion than "This is a lot of pseudoscience."

Me too! She’s great.

I loved this as an INTJ, with higher IQ, I was almost in tears , and thanks for Jerre Levy recommendation too which is an excellent read

I'm an INTJ trying to determine this video's value before taking time to watch it. Your comment sealed the deal. Will watch it soon.

But I don't believe that there is a "gifted type" like she said. Giftedness is not related to personality. Anyone care to comment on this?
Time is a construct.
Time is a fundamental principle of reality. Creating a schedule that we base our activities on is a social construct, albeit a useful one.
