Where is this spot? How far on the main highway 27 from sulfur and lake Charles exit from I-10, coming from the sonic would say it is? I think I seen a sign in the water that said mile marker 62?
Is fishing this location great at the end of march...beginning of April?...... you have inspired me to try when I come back home to visit at the end of march.....I'm partially sold because of the flounder bite....all I need to know is if speckled trout runs through there too? If you don't mind letting me know....I'd really appreciate it!!!!
Yes!! Beginning of April is prime time for flounder bite and it will only get better from there. Same with the trout. Once it really starts to warm up they’ll be in full effect pretty much everywhere 👍👍🎣

on coming up here I will give you pointers on where to hit up. Some parks have camp sites and RV parking, others are free
primitive camping with easy access to the lake.

What size jig head you rig the gulp on ?
In the video I’m using a 1/8th oz jig head but normally I use a 1/4th oz jig head depending on how strong the current is.
I just had my right hip replaced and as soon as I can the wife and I are heading to that same area to see if the flounder are there, or whatever else will bite. Probably another two weeks or so, do you think they will be there or should we look somewhere else?
They will definitely be there! Structure and moving water is the key! Gulp on a 1/4 oz jig head and bounce it around the pilings and you get the thumps 👍👍
