    I’m 31 and still struggle with cooking. When watching recipes on RUclips, creators tend to leave out steps like “make sure to cut out the core” and “we’re going to Julianne the lettuce”. I just wanted to say I really appreciated those details! ❤️

    I made this about a year ago and it was spot-on and delicious. We’re having dinner guests next month and I was desperate to find this recipe again, but couldn’t remember where I saw the recipe. I just stumbled on your video and as soon as I saw your face, I knew I found the real deal recipe. Yay!! Thanks so much for doing this video. I have it saved now.

    This is by far my favorite salad. I moved to the Philippines about 8 years ago and have missed eating this at Ruth's in New Orleans. They just opened one here in the Philippines and we ate there and ordered the chopped salad. Sooo good, but now I can make it home thanks to you

    Wow great video! I'm making this salad for Christmas tomorrow & I bought the French's onions that u use for green bean casserole. I couldn't find the hearts of palm, so I'm using marinated artichokes instead. Can't wait to try this salad

      I loved it! My favorite part was the dressing! Such wonderful flavor! I left out the anchovies paste. Everytime I've used that in the past my dressing comes out too salty. I think I like this dressing more than I like homemade ranch, which is saying a lot since I'm from the Midwest 😆

    I’ve never tried RCSH’s Chopped Salad, but, man, this is good! It’s hilarious watching my husband’s reaction when I tell him the dish has ingredients he thinks he hates-like hearts of palm, olives, and sour cream (he still hasn’t gotten over the Capital Grille’s Brussels sprouts) 😂. As you can tell, we absolutely love your channel! Thank you for your hard work!

      I sometimes add a few dollops of sour cream to my eggs when I cook them. It makes them incredibly fluffy. My husband hates sour cream so, I don’t tell him about it and he devours it every time. Shh! 🤫 😂

    If you don’t have buttermilk, add a couple of tsp of white vinegar or lemon juice to a cup of milk and let it stand for fifteen minutes. Voila! Buttermilk. ❤

      @@RestaurantRecipeRecreations There used to be a Ruth's Chris Steakhouse when I lived in Southern California. I think it was in Long Beach or Bellflower or nearby. I don't know if it is still there. And of course I still remember Chris and Pitts, which may be a whole different breed of cat for all I know. Really enjoyed your video. I would eat that salad every day too! 🙂

    Could you please post the Actual recipe ingredients for the salad (as I don’t think you mentioned “how much” Red Onion Slices went in there!! It’s always important to list ingredients along with the Verbal instructions as you or the listener may miss something! Plus it’s Clearer & More understood!! Thank you for your demonstration!!🙌🙌☺️👍👍

      Also, my favorite mayonnaise, and by far the most popular mayonnaise in New Orleans, is Blue Plate. All other mayonnaise is inferior IMHO… 😉

    I made this salad and it was fantastic, truth be told this salad is a ton of work, but the fried crispy onions make it. Question on the Lemon Basil Dressing, I see the lemon at the beginning but its not used later for the dressing was this just missed in the editing? thanks

      I agree, it is a TON of work and lots of ingredients but just So. Very. Worth it. OMG on the lemon. Yes! Add the juice of 1 lemon in the dressing, hence, the Lemon Basil dressing. Apologies, this was one of my earlier videos. I promise, I'll get my sh*t together one of these days. Thanks for catching it, I'll add an update on the recipe comments for future viewers.       Wright and Boar's Head are good all around bacon brands, imo, but Nueske is my absolute favorite. My dog is named Benton after Allan Benton, tho!😂

    Salad looks delicious. I heard mushrooms needed to be cooked and not eaten raw. You didn't show cooking them.

    baking bacon in the oven is an insane waste of energy. maybe ok if cold outside. microwave will work and not he like turning on a heater to fight the AC.
