I haven’t thought about it that way but you’re right. I just checked their website and they do specify that they require the beadlock wheels but they use the part number so it’s not 100% clear.
The problem with the traxxas tires are that the tire beads are too thick to be able to seat inside aftermarket beadlock wheels, I have multiple sets of aftermarket wheels and could not get the stock traxxas tires to seat in any of my sets. Ended up having to disregard the stock tires altogether and use aftermarket tires with the aftermarket beadlocks
I wonder if gunmetal-ing the inner face of the rim and leaving the beadlock ring black may chenge the look more...at some video angles in your vid, it looks like a slightly different color contrast from face to lip would look dope
Hi, I have a question, do you use foam tire inserts? Traxxas offers soft and hard, but I don't know whether to spend money on it and which one to choose. can you advise me please
I installed these today with the stock tires and the heads of the black screws on the back of the rim hit the steering arm and stops the truck from being able to roll when you apply the throttle. I had to put the old rims back on. I'm confused as to why. I installed them the same way you did in the video. That was a complete waste of forty bucks.
Great review thanks. This was and still gong to be one of the first upgrades I do. I might try bbs is the tires and glue the tires on. 40$ for brass wheel weights is a little pricey.
The stock bronco tires rub but I don’t think the baja pros do. They are slightly smaller and more rounded. I’m not at home so I can’t check now but I did put the bronco on it’s roof and test the steering at full lock and it didn’t bind with the baja pros
The stock tires are glued to the stock wheels so you won’t be able to remove them without damaging them. I’m not sure if those tires are compatible with the beadlock wheels or just the regular wheels
I think the Method wheels look awesome, plus the heavy brass ring is fantastic.
Got me some today with the white Bronco , makes a decent difference but honestly the TRXM is awesome bone stock !
Thank you for the explanation. I'm new to the hobby and appreciate all the instructional videos
Enjoying your videos. Helpful tip I learned is use rubbing alcohol on the bead. It dries quickly and makes assembly of the wheels easier.
Thanks for the support and great tip I'll mention that next time
My lhs mostly had 1 of each option parts. Had to visit 3 stores to get parts. Enjoy the new scale trucks.
I think it is a Fail on traxxas’s part that you cannot use the weights with the stock rims😳

Traxxas has its own “bead style” for their tires. It’s why on proline tires and wheels etc it’ll state “traxxas style beads”

Will injora tires work with the traxxas beadlocks wheels?
It did not work for me.
Good video
Did these cause any rubbing for you? I installed the beadlocks with brass rings and now it's rubbing in the front. This with the stock bronco tires.

Its possible to just get the new beadlock rims and brass weights and just swap on the stock tyres right?

@@CrawlDaddy43 the stock tires are not glued to the wheels, according to all others reviews.
@@CrawlDaddy43 That's annoying, I guess ill have to buy all the wheel and tyre upgrades
Not glued on my trx4m, come right off no problem
@@jimbo4203 that’s weird. I’ll have to try to pull mine off
what size rc4wd tires fit on the Traxxas Method Race Beadlock Wheels
1 inch
These method wheels do not fit my defender. Does anyone else have this problem?
a little bit of soapy water will help that tire slide on... that's how we do it for motorcycles
