Since the colours we observe are those reflected back towards our eyes from an object, it is unlikely that the red hues would be reflected from plant material. Assuming photosynthesis drives plant growth, the grass would still have chlorophyll, which absorbs red light. I'd be interested to know if that much energy absorption would help or hinder life processes. Alternately, what other forms of evolution would lead to plants there? Interplanetary convergent evolution?
Because any intelligent life form would be able to recognize that certain categories of things may have properties indicative of an origin that differs from the environment they currently inhabit. Elementary pattern recognition and categorization capabilities?

We study literally everything on our planet, and will study anything on other planets once our reach is proficient enough to do so, just look at Mars and it's robot population. We study the ground, we study the skies, we study all species known to our existance. If Aliens are even remotely as curious as we are about our surroundings, I see no reason why they wouldn't study us if they have the capabalities to do so.
