Started using the 1.25" ($29) and 2" ($52 ) SvBony CLS filters a few imaging sessions ago in my Bortle 6 sky with lots of local light pollution.
Light pollution severely suppressed. Sky darker. Stars much smaller. Pics came come out much better with my Orion Spaceprobe 130 and my Celestron 6" Schmidt Cassegrain. Oddly, no more purple fringe when using my Bresser 102/460 refractor and Skyoptikst 90/500 refractor.
I also bought a SvBony UHC filter, am so pleased with the CLS filter, I have not had a chance to use the UHC filter, yet.
Hi, I have a Question Can I attach a DSLR lens with this type of Light pollution filter or I have to buy a 2 inch one for the lens
Nice vid. I use the same one.
Mayby u can help me. In the end off the vid you speak off the colors shift.
I use it on a modded 1000d canon. But with processing i find it quit hard to get true colors.
I use apt, so white balance isnt (as far as i know) a setting.
How do you adjust the image before processing and without losing data?
I use Siril to perform colour correction of the stacked image. I've got a video on that. Check it out
@@AstroOnbudget thnx ill try that tonigh!
@@AstroOnbudget which video is that?
you should show before and after photos so we can decide if we really need this or not
Good tip. I should have done that. Maybe next time :) that said, I think this is pretty good.
