I see a mans face. Funny that you had a Barbershop band you were going to use. Thanks for sharing. It’s always nice to learn different ways to package.
Put the bath bombs in goodie bags or the bags used, seal and shrink (don't cut anything off), put the label on the excess plastic (the plastic you'd usually cut off), for decoration you can tie a ribbon where the bath bomb and the excess plastic meet, you can also stick jewels and such into the plastic, you can reuse the scraps by making them into confetti that you can place into the boxes that you ship or decoration on other products.
I'm sure you probably figured out a bath bomb label already but I thought I would share how I do mine.. I take the regular printer paper and print a full sheet of small square with the info like ingredients , website, weight etc and I cut them out each one inside packaging facing out..no frills but it's in there in inexpensive and and doesn't take away from the look of bb.. thanks for the video I did learn a few things ..
What a great video! A lot of fantastic information and I love the template. All of your products look so nicely packaged. Thanks for doing this video Billie.
I use Avery App for labels & thank you cards. I use full sheet sticker paper and I pick the size label I want to use. On the 8 oz jar lotion I use the business card size. You can still use the business card size for smaller items by cutting them. I use for front & back.
Great video! As for the bath fizzer labeling......what about shrink wrapping 3 to a package and putting the label on that package? Another idea would be to take 3 fizzers and put them into a clear bag with a ribbon tied and label on that package? Just an idea, maybe not the greatest one, but an idea anyway lol. :-)
Yeah you do because that heat gun will definitely put a hole n it. I just don’t like when it start to lose it’s suction around the soap and you have to do it again
I shrink wrap the bath bomb but in a little clear bag tie curling ribbon to close it and whole punch card stock with a babble attached to the card stock looks nice my friends love it
I tried round labels on my bath bombs and they wrinkled up and did not stick well at all. I started putting mine in a cello bag, closed it with ribbon and attached a card with a hole onto the ribbon. I would much rather just shrink wrap them though. If you find something that is easy and works well, please post! :-)
I saw a man with sunglasses! How fun. I did have a question. Do you cut your scrapbook paper down to like 8.5 x 11???? Just trying to figure out all the logistics. Thanks for sharing all your knowledge ;)
Jamie- LOVE U MORE SOAPS Yes, I did cut the paper to standard size paper. They do have a scrapbook stack that is 8.5x11 but they don't have as many options at Wal Mart (which is where is the cheapest). You saw exactly what I saw the man in sunglasses! ! lol I just thought it was funny!
Great info! I'm using the bands for my soaps. I found mine at Michael's. So expensive so I used the half off coupon. I wasn't aware that Walmart sold those. Thanks for the tip!
Halo Robertson No prob! You're welcome! I had gotten some at Micheals before too but when i found them at wal mart and saw the difference in price I've never gotten them there again.
I just checked Walmart's website and they have a really good selection of them! I can get 4 for what I would have paid at Michael's! I get really excited when I save money! :)
Halo Robertson I'm always looking for a better price too. Soaping/labeling/packaging supplies are not cheap. I'm glad I could help you save a little money.
Thank you soooo much for all the good information provided. Where did you buy the impulse sealer or whatever is the name. Love and enjoy your videos a lot.
Good! That would be great!! I downloaded a free program similar to MS Word called Open Office. It's suppose to do the same as MS. But, I can't figure it out.
Your labels are so pretty. I use the cigar band and I get my papers the same place that you do only I prefer the one sided not as think papers. I so want to learn how to print on my instead I print on regular printer paper (white) and glue the labels onto the cigar bands. I don't think my computer skills will allow me to get everything in the right spot and all even like yours and others that have that skill. What this did give me idea to do is use colored papers and match it up to whatever color my band is so there's not such a contrast as with the white printer paper. Do you use the same recipe for all of your soaps? In my case I have about 4 or 5 recipes and I always vary my additives which is why I don't special order my labels. But your soaps as well as your labels are so eye catching. Thanks you for sharing. De'
honey562012 I use a variety of recipes, I would say I have about 7-8 different recipes, and I use them all but there are 3-4 that I use most. I like making my own labels for that reason also. I can change my recipe, ama use whatever I want and just change the label with no problem.
OMG you gave out all this info , that is so sweet, I just found this as I am just getting into soap/lotion bar making. Are you still on etsy selling your soaps?
What about putting a small circular piece of stiff card as a bottom, like a tiny saucer shrink wrapped inside with the soap so it has a small flat surface, a stand, then sticking a label on the outside of that card, like it has a small bottom?
Sherry Allen Blankenbeker Yes they lay directly on the soap. No discoloration but they are fully cured and only cold process. This wouldn't work with melt and pour.
if you do want to use a smaller circular sticker, you can place your company info on the middle of the sticker & have the ingredients running around the edge of the sticker
I don't know if someone said this in the comments already, but as a possible solution to waste and labeling, how about not cutting off the excess of the bag when you do the first seal, inserting card stock with info into the the excess, heat seal again, so the label is attached but has a separate compartment. then heat gun the bomb.
for your labels, have you ever tried ovel??? in addition, some times with seamstresses, they will cut some hash marks into the edges, to make them more able to fit around curved objects, like in cloths fitting, without the seams bunching up. you might be able to do that with your tags, and if you use an ovel, its still close enough to a square to fit your information on it, but rounded to fit the objects you wish to wrap, while the hash marks in the edges will keep it from bunching up... i dont know. just a theory, but its worth a try maybe??? hope it works.
For bath bombs, I was thinking you could use a 3/4" paper punch to cut out your thinner scrapbook paper label. Then shrink wrap it into the bag with the bath bomb?
Lwest Aaaahhhhhh!!!! I love that idea! That would be very cost effective and I think that would be the easiest way to eliminate the problem of it not adhering properly/smoothly. You just made me smile with excitement! Thx!
What if you put a fine string on your bath bombs, shrink wrapping them and leaving the label hanging of the string on the outside? The special bar looked like a smiley face🙂
Leftyknitright VEE That's a good idea, thank you! I had another viewer suggest i make small 1"circle labels on scrapbook paper, put those inside the shrink wrap bag and then shrink the label inside. That has been working out pretty well. You saw the sunglasses guy! lol
Does it?!! Omg haha I had thought about that but figured it wouldn't work! Gonna have to give it a go, I don't own a hairdryer either but they are cheaper lol
You can get a little heat gun at the craft store. Probably even the craft department at Walmart. They are really small and look like a travel size hair dryer. They don't blow very hard but they get really hot so just be careful of that. Mine has a low and high setting. Probably cheaper than an actual hair dryer.
Cassie Bird Shrink gun is on sale at Lowe's for $19. I didn't have the impulse sealer until just recently and I got a long ok, i just had to wrap my bath bombs differently.
Where did you say you got the template for the cigar bands? You could put those scraps on you bath bombs before you shrink wrap them. Also, would you please do a video on making the labels & cigar bands?
It wants me to sign up for Microsoft Word. Which do you have? Would this work just as good? www.amazon.com/OpenOfficeTM-Microsoft-Alternative-Compatible-PowerPoint/dp/B01LZN0QCB/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1486472226&sr=8-3&keywords=microsoft+word
Jan Macak I have Microsoft Word for Mac, I can't remember what I paid its been a while since I purchased it but it was at least $99.99, I think it was more, (I want to say $117 lol very random number) because they always make you pay more for Apple products.
I don't understand why your impulse sealer is not cutting the extra shrink wrap off. Mine cuts off the excess. But you are not holding yours down as long as I do. Mine is very similar to yours. But mine has an indicator light that tells me when to lift up on the handle (usually just 2-3 seconds). It comes out sealed with the excess cut off. I wonder if you held it down just 1 more second it might cut your excess off for you.
Glad it worked. Mine is set at about medium heat. Having that indicator light that tells me when to release the handle really helps. Mine doesn't smell bad though, thankfully.
I see either Lenny Cravits or Bob Marley??! haha! I could watch your videos all day you're so soft spoken and incredibly talented 😊 I appreciate what you share with us all... Thanks so much 🌸
Try contacting a big business like fast signs, zazzle, vista print even avery. The have lable service. They create and ship to you. Im sure they have curved lables for round items.
I see a mask like face with a sinister grin. Thanks for sharing. The soaps are beautiful. Also, I think Body Bonbon has a template for bath bomb labels (they are the bands).

Thank you for showing us. I thought the paper would be too busy and basically make the writing disappear but it looks better than i thought so i will give it a go after all. Though im happy with clear cello as i can get it at a great price. Pic in soap? I saw either big girl in a bikini or a guy with a beard😉
Adra Bloodstone The bathbombs? I have wrapped them in a bag, tied with a label and I didn't like the extra packaging that it leaves. Why don’t you use an impulse sealer on the shrink wrap bags to seal closer to items them heat that way it’s more professional looking than have a big bunch at bottom of cupcake for example. Just a suggestion could help you a lot with presentations. You can also print labels in those designs you like soooo cheap online instead of $10 for those thick pages from Walmart for only a few. Loosing a lot of money that way. Also if ya put label around bath bomb before wrapping and sealing it could workout better and leak neater as well. Cigar wrapper around bomb then sealed would be perfect neat n professional. No one get mad just for suggestions no one has to like them or get mad everyone has own opinions and I’m just offering mine to try n help so please no hate. Your items are beautiful tho. I’m gonna check your store out today.
I hate everything about bath bombs - making them, packaging & labeling them. But people really seem to want them. I mostly use & have seen the round labels used & you are right, it doesn't look great. But, I did see somebody make a cigar band that went 1/2 way around the bomb. I don't think you could get it to lay flat if you tried to do it all the way around. Great video, thanks.
mary anderson I'm throwing kisses at you!! I hear you, Bath Bombs are a pain in the butt!!! But like you said everyone loves them! One of my viewers suggested printing a small/1" round label on scrapbooking paper and then shrink wrap it inside the bag. That's what I've been doing and I like it far better than anything I've tried so far.
Hey!! Omg... I saw a man in sunglasses with a lil chin goatee!! Lmao That was too cool. Try doing that again. Lol ; ) You should save that bar and keep a collection of your suprise images that appear! I don't think I have seen anyone do a video on something like that. It would be awesome. Oh, I wanted to ask where you purchased your "Fugi Apple"? You said it smelled amazing and I need a good apple scent. Have a nice evening. Tfs!! : )
We can’t see a lot of what you are showing us you are holding items too high out of frame just so ya know.....it’s makin me nuts lol I keep adjusting screen n zoom in forgetting I can’t change it. just adjust camera up more pretty please so we can see your awesome stuff.
I think you are doing a wonderful job, keep doing it your way it is beautiful !!! Much love.
I see a mans face. Funny that you had a Barbershop band you were going to use. Thanks for sharing. It’s always nice to learn different ways to package.

Kelli Spears You got it! I'm glad it helps : ) Thanks for watching and commenting!
Can you please do a tutorial on how to make and print the labels for the soaps and bath bombs
What templates do you use to print your ingredients, etc.
Put your scraps through a paper shredder and use it for packing material.
Thanks for a great video and the link for the bands! We are almost neighbors I live in Summerlin~

New to soaping! I just watch this and was wondering if you do teaching videos? Your soaps and bath bombs are beautiful 😃
Im new to soap and packaging. Im not getting the flow of the labels. You design the cigar band, and print them onthe craft paper? Thanks. Great video!
I am wondering if there is a way to wrap without using shrink wrap to avoid excess plastic? These do look beautiful, however. Great looking soap.
Did you cut the shrink wrap or they came with both ends open
I shrink wrap the bath bomb but in a little clear bag tie curling ribbon to close it and whole punch card stock with a babble attached to the card stock looks nice my friends love it

Jessica Cook you can go to onlinelabels.com they have template you could use

Cindy Robinson Good info, thank you! I'll definitely do an update video if I find the perfect solution.
So you use mica for you colors, they are so vibrant
Go to eBay, they sell the real good heat gun for roughly $20 because the one I had purchased from Michael’s would turn off after so long.
Do u cut the card stock down to fit into the printer?
Thank you for sharing with us....I have been wracking my brain as to how to label the soap with my name, etc. A man’s face!
I saw a man with sunglasses! How fun. I did have a question. Do you cut your scrapbook paper down to like 8.5 x 11???? Just trying to figure out all the logistics. Thanks for sharing all your knowledge ;)
If you hold down your impress sealer for another couple seconds it will take the excess off without you having to cut it.

OMG you gave out all this info , that is so sweet, I just found this as I am just getting into soap/lotion bar making. Are you still on etsy selling your soaps?
Ok thanks I was going to ask you about the air in the packages. Every time I use my impulse sealer I get air in the package so I pop with a needle.
What about putting a small circular piece of stiff card as a bottom, like a tiny saucer shrink wrapped inside with the soap so it has a small flat surface, a stand, then sticking a label on the outside of that card, like it has a small bottom?
Do you still have your Etsy shop because the link you provided says cannot find the page 😞
Always love your videos! Where did you say you bought shrink wrap sleeves with the perforation? I totally missed that. Thanks!
Wholesale Supplies Plus
What do you use for the labels that could get wet? Is there a waterproof one that sticks well to things?
Courtney Grauvogl When i was talking about the waterproof labels, I was referring to the labels on my Scrubs, Whipped soaps and lotions
That was very good Ginger.
Do the bands laying directly on the soap bars discolor or absorb oils? Thank you ! I love the colorful bands
Sherry Allen Blankenbeker Yes they lay directly on the soap. No discoloration but they are fully cured and only cold process. This wouldn't work with melt and pour.
How did you make the toppings and frostings for them?
How do you shrinkwrap the bags?
Very informative!! Where did you get your cups from for the cupcakes and what size are they?
Lisa Mabry Thank you! I got these at 99 cent store, they are basic/standard cupcake size.
if you do want to use a smaller circular sticker, you can place your company info on the middle of the sticker & have the ingredients running around the edge of the sticker

try putting the label on the shrink wrap before heating and see if it will lay smoothly...
You saw the sunglasses guy! lol
Where you order your soap labels from
Tfs wish I could get a shrink wrapping machine
I use a hair dryer! It works great!

Glad it worked. Mine is set at about medium heat. Having that indicator light that tells me when to release the handle really helps. Mine doesn't smell bad though, thankfully.
and they had glue already on so its easy to attached. You just print your logo Info

You could add a thin paper label on the inside of the bath bomb before shrink wrap. :-)
I see a mask like face with a sinister grin. Thanks for sharing. The soaps are beautiful. Also, I think Body Bonbon has a template for bath bomb labels (they are the bands).
Cazaria Fogle You're welcome. Lol, the face definitely had a sinister grin! Thx for the info on the bombs!
I saw a cool guy with sunglasses 😎! Looks like the kind of guy that plays 🎷 in a jazz band!!!

how about an oval label for the bath bombs?
Giulia Songini That is a great idea. I will have to give that a try. Thank you
Hey sweetie, you might won't to not cut the top's off and put the card inside of it and then shrink the card above it. Good lick hope this work's.
I sell food. Brownies. Cupcakes. Cake pops ect How do you make your labels? Video please? Very nice product presentation! How i can buy your products?
I see a face with sunglasses on. Nice job Spicy
It looks like I was able to see man smiling with a mustache and sunglasses on, very cool.
Ana Lette Yep! When I saw this bar I kept looking at it and laughing!
why not a celo bag and tie a ribbon around it with a label attached like a gift label.
Adra Bloodstone The bathbombs? I have wrapped them in a bag, tied with a label and I didn't like the extra packaging that it leaves. Yes, sorry. My brain is not on planet earth lately. What if you tied a ribbon around the bath bomb as you have it packaged now then add the gift tag
Okay, just seen the answer to my label question, thanks
do you have a video on shower bombs
Jennifer Cressy I don't, I've not made them before. But that's a good idea, maybe I should start making them. If I do, I'll record it! : )

Thanks for sharing. That is a really good idea. I use a lot of print to the edge labels. That way I can make the label any size or shape I want.
Hey!! Tfs!! : )
