I grow up flipping through magazine pages of this guy! The other guy I read about almost as equally was R.L. Osborne. Bunny Hops, end-dows, frame standing, riding backwards, etc... Who knew it would be this big today. All I wanted was a P.K. Ripper, Haro, Redline, etc...
@GhibliFan1 I got a used FBM recently and the seat is slammed.I didn;t want to ruin the look,so I threw pegs on the front off my cousin's walmart bike so I could stretch out my legs when I sat down,Ofcourse I can't sit and pedal,but I'm usually standing uo mashing to try to get where I;m going quick anyway.When I started to turn my haro race bike into a 'hotrod; I lowered the seat and cut the excess off the post too.
@Idoitforthelulz Well, to be fair I do appreciate why they started to ride with them lower... but I think they're riding them (and manufacturing seat posts) just too low these days, to accommodate a trend. They just got lower and lower and lower... and now when you see a tallish guy sat down riding, his knees are coming to his chin. Downhill MTB riders have to land from massive jumps, and they also have the seats lower for the exact same reason... but nothing as outrageous as a modern BMX.

I'm almost 50 and if you know your history Haro was the man.These were my hero's.
I still have most issues of BMX Action from their start through high school in '83. Bob was my idol.
