Lizzie, I am very saddened to hear about your dad’s diagnosis. You are looking after him amazingly! What a lovely daughter (and mum) you are. You are so talented Lizzie with everything you do. You are a true survivor!! You deserve everything good in this world! Take care xx

It's hard to find time to look after yourself when you have so much to deal with. You are a shining example of a mum and daughter and I'm sure your family are so proud of you.

Belated happy birthday Lizzie, great to see you back on you tube, don’t beat yourself up for your lack of postings, although we all miss seeing you we understand that other things need to take priority at the moment. You are doing a fabulous job of dealing with everything that is going on in your life right now. We will all be here waiting for you when you can post a video.

    Happy birthday!!!
Here in south Louisiana in the States, it’s quite common to see small whole peppers pickled in small jars (with shaker lids) on home as well as on restaurant tables . It’s put on many dishes, but used a lot on any of our mainstay bean dishes, like red beans or white beans. We always had a jar on my table when I was growing up.
I don’t know if pickle juice is big in your part of the world, but here in the States it’s crazy popular--they even sell pickle juice shots in grocery stores. 🤷‍♀️ Anyway, you can save the juice from your dill pickles to reuse as a marinade for chicken before frying, like a famous fast food chain does, or you can reuse it to pickle other foods. You simply bring it to a boil and add whatever other seasonings and spices you want before pouring it over whatever you’re pickling. I usually use it to pickle some Vidalia onions--a very sweet onion that has a short growing season. Works great for a cheap, basically free pickling liquid.

I am sorry to say this but Dr's receptionists are awful...where I live they have renamed themselves as CARE CO-ORDINTORS...what a missnomer...they are about as caring as a toilet seat...phoning the G.P has become a battle of wills it is up to the bull dog/guard dog receptionist as to whether you get to see the Dr. Then when you go to the surgery...it's empty! I don't understand it...and when did receptionists become qualified to determine whether you see a Dr...a practice nurse or a chemist...

Absolutely agree with all your comment kitchenworker446. Same goings on at our surgery too. When I popped in recently to actually speak to the reception desk person there was a total of two people sat waiting. Whatever happened to the waiting room and who ever uses them now? Do they mostly do phone call appointments these days? Makes you wonder.
