The £20 Million Version Of My Ferrari F12 TDF!
HTML-код
- Опубликовано: 14 авг 2024
- If you watched the 'First Drive' video of my Ferrari F12 TDF you may recall me talking about the origin of the 'TDF' name? It came from a famous historic race car called the Ferrari 250 TDF, a car that was designed to race in the Tour De France Automobile in the 1950's. That car - the Ferrari 250 TDF - was incredibly successful, winning pretty much everything it entered. Ferrari's modern day equivalent of that car is the Ferrari F12 TDF - thanks to DK Engineering, today we have BOTH of those cars together to share with you the incredible history and significance of this very special lineage.
Both of these Ferrari's have V12 engines, the original TDF developing around 260hp while the F12 TDF generates an incredible 770hp! A lot has changed since the 1950's but taking a walk around both cars it is aweosme to see the DNA from the original Ferrari TDF making it's way into the new F12 TDF.
BIG THANKS TO DK Engineering:

What a great idea to put those two cars together. I’ve spent some time with the Disney 250 at DK and it is one of the most specials cars in existence. My yellow car is a bit too loud to complement it, but your red one suits it perfectly. Nice one, James
C'mon Damian - you and James need to get a double TDF Vid done!
Something you don't see very much of anymore is people that really get into the history of a car and it's lineage. Well done and informative James.
its, not it's
@@nkenchington6575 Really? Grammar police here? Give me a break. You try being 100% accurate when you just wake up in the morning.
Always nice to hear about where it all came from... And WHAT A GARAGE !!
You probably dont give a damn but does anyone know of a method to get back into an instagram account??
I was dumb forgot the password. I appreciate any tricks you can give me.
@Knox Benjamin instablaster ;)
I don't even think that i could afford the diecast models of the ACTUAL cars they have.
The "first drive" video was over-the-top good. Understandably, that level of video production is difficult to achieve. I think of those videos as analogous to your special versus daily
driver vehicles. Really enjoy them, but they are super special. You've had some kind of year James!
Man, you're just spoiling us with back to back ferrari videos
All I can say is WOW 😮!!! What a collection of super cars, can’t get over the quality of cars 😉👍 WOW again 😄, just stunning, great video as always Mr JWW, loving the back to back comparisons between the TDFs, will always be a subscribed to MR JWW
*sees MrJWW video notification*
*Drops everything to watch this bloody masterpiece*
First drive video was amazing and so was this one, so cool to see the insides of a place like this. The quality of cars there is out of this world.
Such a classy video production:- great photography, music & sound quality. But then what else would you expect from a guy as classy as Mr. JWW.
Kinda makes me wanne see yours with the same striping.
Yes, ppf, then stripes.
Best car RUclipsr on the planet those cars are priceless
That piece of art! Those 60's Ferraris are the pinnacle of Automobile. The F12 looks almost cheap right next to it
Now your spoiling us with the TDF & seeing you with the original 250 TDF is really next level well done mate.
Peter McElvogue you’re *
James, this is one of if not the best film you've ever posted. Thank you for being true to your mission of bringing the super and exclusive car experience to your viewers. Your unbridled enthusiasm and the genuine child-like joy you have for what you do it contagious. It makes watching your videos must-see content. Your expression when sliding into the GTO is priceless. Good job you.
Thanks so much! 😃
Massive thanks for this video James! It is absolutly exellent :D
I am such a massive Ferrari fan, and the more Italian content the better, what a stunning line up. Cannot wait for the next video, such a great thing to learn more about the F12 TDF and its heritage :D
Thanks buddy great to hear you enjoyed it!
@@MrJWW You really are one of the best youtubers out there mate, quality stuff :)
Superb vid. Really good to add stories to the cars. That's 2 A+ vids in a row!
Amazing video and you're such a humble guy. I enjoyed this video a lot!
Just looking at the thumbnail, you just know you're in for an absolute treat.
Absolutely top draw James, it must have been a spine tingling being surrounded by such the finest quality automobiles. Amazing story of the 14 louvre TDF. Bravo James
First drive video was worth the wait. Well done as always.
that an expensive piece of history
You know what shows quality content? The fact that you get as much views if not more than another youtuber with over 1 million subscribers. In principle you both do the same things but the quality is just on a different level. Amazing
To be privalaged to see around DK's facility was special, and the history behind the original Tdf was great. Plus the link of the aesthetic DNA links between the two cars. One of your best video's. PERFECTO!
WHERE IS THIS PLACE?!?! 6 speciale? 2 Laferrari?! 3 enzos?! 7 F40s?!?!
I guess its in Heaven
Not to mention the 250 GTO
@@andyhsu0907 and 250 tdf😂
@@dankbeast9013 also 250 lm and 250 swb, smh rn.
Multimillionaire's exclusive club...
Loved hearing the history of the 250tdf. That showroom is something else. So many beautiful cars in one place. Ridiculous the amount of F40s. Great content James. Keep it coming!
What a great history lesson on that 250 TDF, loved the context alongside the modern design features. Cracking video and of course.......what a garage!
The reason I really enjoy your content is that you're a proper car guy. Love the enthusiasm and how genuine you are. And my oh my what a garage!! Fantastic vid mate.
Nice matching of the music beat to the downshifts at 1:54 !
Are we all gonna ignore the 250gto!!!! God knows how much i adore that car. My absolute fav!!!!!!
Amazing video..I love the heritage of these classic Ferraris! More videos like this please
Just re-watched this one. Love it. That original TDF is one of the most beautiful cars ever made.
Thats one of the most craziest garages I've ever seen, if not the craziest!!!!!!!
First drive video was tip top. Worth the wait. PS loving the poppy. Showing some class
Superb video yet again! Congrats and thank you! And the First Drive video has been my favourite video so far (music and scenery were amazing!)!
The DK Engineering is a wonderful place to be. What a collection and work these guys have done. Cheers, James!
The first drive video was absolutely amazing with all the editing and the melodious music from the exhaust
Exquisite does not come close, this is why I find old cars more interesting than new ones. They are like the automotive equivalent of a historic story book everyone of those cars has its own life history . The paint on those restorations is flawless . I have followed DK for years , I could walk around their all day in awe at those machines.
You're production level of this and the TdF first drive video has gone to another level! Awesome!! But... How did you not highlight the magnificent Daytona Spyder in the video at the end??!!! Dropped the ball on that one mate! Well done though, keep up the good work!
Great content as usual! Epic to compare those two cars side by side and find the inspiration. Thanks James!
That place is EPIC!!!!! Good lord what a collection of cars......mindboggling. Thanks James!
Wow dude! There aren't enough superlatives to describe how cool that car is! I'd be literally trembling to just be standing near it! Brilliant idea for a video, mate. Cheers, James
It's nice to see some vintage Ferrari models on RUclips channels as opposed to just seeing Aventadors. I have a passion for older Ferraris from my teenage years, the 512 Boxer and the 308 GTS etc. I adore the curves. Your content this year has been incredible. I think we all wish we could be you but maybe we wouldn't want the hard work and late hours getting these videos edited and online!
i agree,,i am from the early 80s i adore f40 f50 enzo and testarossa entc more than laferrari or 488 stuff
There can be a hint of shallowness to constant coverage of supercars, as glorious as they are. When you immerse yourself in the history of a car, touch the continuum, it becomes something greater and much grander. It makes it all the more "speciale." Thank you for making this.
Thank You 🙏. This is the type of rare content I love to see👍🇦🇺
Must say I do admire your taste in music ;) The video and content as always is superb.
Waiting for nex upload.
And this is why I love James! One of very few TRUE car enthusiasts on social media.
Love to see the past and present presented together to get a sense of how far it's come and where it is going to be in the future. Always great content MrJWW 👍🏻 🇺🇸🇬🇧
That Ferrari F12 TDF fist drive video, i was love it..That is one my dream car, cannot wait to see more video. This is also so cool video, lots of my dream cars, F40 that 575 Maranello
Awesome video as always.
Either the stripe, or the bonnet scoop on that 250 isn't quite in the middle of the car - nightmare that can't be unseen!
It was just the angle of the vent and stripe / I thought that myself but optical illusion!
Wow James you make such special content!
Absolutely amazing videos 👏🙌👌
Agreed, nobody does quality like MR JWW. Best car related channel on RUclips no question
@@jameseast8510 Yes absolutely you can clearly see how much passion goes into his videos!
Distinctly above average Monday.
Great content, James! And huge congratulations to you and your wife. Look forward to more great updates in your new chapter :) Best channel on RUclips - keep up the great work!
Don’t think I’ve ever been so immersed in a utube video just brilliant content from start to finish I think a bomb could have gone off and I will wouldn’t have noticed . Also what a stunning car collection pity we could not see all the cars uncovered , keep them coming james 👍👍👍👍👍
I live around the corner from DK Engineering & its so cool to have the greatest cars on the planet go past you. You almost become 'used' to it. Sadly i have never set foot in there though as its by appointment only but if you go to the front gate you can usually see some tasty stuff.
Another very special film James, seeing the two TDFs together was incredible and hearing the amazing story of that car was stunning. When younger car guys go on about modern cars and how they don’t get the older cars, they need to be told that story, oh and DK engineering have just become my favourite car restorers and dealership, that place is another level of cool!
The older car has lived a full life. The guy knows his stuff. Nice context for your newer classic in the making
Amazing video James, a true petrol head through and through. Giving us some great nostalgic content.
I wake up on my BDay and notice a plethora of Ferrari goodness. Just finished watching while doing cardio. Awesome content Mr Dubs. Great start to celebrate 35 years.
First off, my apologies for waiting a FULL DAY to watch this lovely episode. You should definitely do more like this one. Learning about the heritage and provenance of these beauties is fantastic. Oh and in regards to video production, yes that was really nice, but your editing style makes them all pretty much very high quality. Good job James and hello from Toronto, Canada.
Tdf 1st drive video is one of the best youtuber videos out there! Waiting to see more :)
Thanks so much!
@@MrJWW You should come to any of the Porsche Club GB R20 (London) meets with the GT3 :)
Beautiful footage of absolutely incredible cars. The look on your face when you settled into the 250 GTO was priceless. Great stuff, James!
Loved the classic Ferrari's I have huge respect for these cars your TDF intro video reminded me of old skool top gear when Jeremy Clarkson took the Aston Martin V12 vantage out for a road test Keep the good work up
What a great video!! LOVE comparing new cars to their forebears. SO interesting! And seeing the 250TDF in the Love Bug, I remember that!! Thinking there’s no way a Beetle could keep up with a Ferrari. Lol. Great job with this!
Your content just gets better and better every time, keep up the fantastic work!
I friggen loved this video, so much history. The story of the TdF is amazing.
The first drive video was dope ! Also I didn't expect a video with a 250 TDF.
MrJww notification pop up on my phone. 1st instinct is click ASAP. never disappointed with MrJww content.
my phone had low battery but still started watching on my phone while i wait for my PC to turn on.
Awesome video! It always a pleasure to see one of the 250 Ferraris (my favorite is the 250 GT Berlinetta Lusso). The bare chassis looks familiar, I believe I saw it at the 'Ferrari under the skin' exhibition at the Design Museum earlier this year. Mr JWW, your challenge, if you choose to accept it, is to feature and drive a Ferrari 275 GTB4. Keep up the good work.
I was in Maranello last year and I had the opportunity to see the F12 TDF and the 250 TDF. Amazing automobiles. I've been to Maranello twice , for me its like a catholic going to the Vatican. I love the heritage of Ferrari. Thank you for sharing yet another great video. I look forward to your next one.
Bloody hell, what a collection holi moli 😍😍😍 Ferrari heaven 😍😍 great video as always James
JWW x DK = epitome of classy car content ! My fav TDF clip so far 👌🏼 of course the first drive was cinematically superior, but I love these garage tours 😍
Many YT videos re cars these days, but got to be honest I'm down to handful of channels and your channel is brilliant. Congrats and keep the good work up.
brilliant video. classic car features like this would be a brilliant niche and suits your channel perfectly. more please. there's lots of classic cars out there to show
Absolutely flawless and drop dead gorgeous like lady in a red dress headed to a cocktail party. What a rare and afforded opportunity to visit the holy grail of TDFs and where it all started.
Man that car has a lot of history.
It's so beautiful! The interior is absolutely crazy...Really great car!
Epic Ferrari Video, with incredible history and top notch cinematography 🥳🏎💨💨💨
And, there's a line of F40. Too much, mate. My hair at the back my neck is raving. We just can't get enough of your videos, man. Just from beginning the channel, you know you'll be pretty much addicted to this gentleman videos. Thank you mate for creating your channel.
F40 is realy shaped in heaven if i see one i am stunned,if i saw this much i melted on the floor
Loved the tune at the end... great vid of great cars at a great location with great stories.
Like I said before that last video was perfection. But I certainly don’t expect that all the time. Just take us with you, which is exactly what you do. Thank you and you ROCK! 👊🏻👌🏻
JWW - phenomenal, one of your best, videos. DK has a special connection to the USA/us and their reputation is second to none. Thanks for making my day.
James face at 20:35 - 20:42 is everything you need to know that this is THE GREATEST car youtuber...
Nice video. It's good to see the historic cars (and the original TdF's are truly historic) get some love from you supercar guys. Good research James on the original TdF's.
Loved it! More like that would be awesome and show off the awesomeness of the channel
Heritage...history....new history and legend....thgis vlog is EPIC!
Great video! Loved listening to the history of the original TDF and your comparison between old and new was excellent. Top stuff. Production is spot on too. Keep up the great content👍
Video was epic! Love the story behind the car.
But I was triggered that you put music over the 250 TDF going into the garage. Would really have loved to hear it.
21:00 250LM OMG moment - more of that please! And the stance of that 250 GTO though - Big wheels make modern cars but theres something about old-skool fat-rubber that looks amazing..................
Really enjoyed the first drive video. Fantastic piece of video!
Probably one of the world's most valuable collections. I couldn't imagine being inside there, lucky you!
It was a crazy experience!
Great to see your appreciation of the classic cars as well as modern supercars. Amazing place.
I loved the first drive video. Also, great idea putting them side by side
What I really like about that 250 is the simplicity of it. There's nothing in there that doesn't need to be there. Everything has function, everything is simplistically elegant.
I wonder what Enzo would make of today's obsession with Carbin fibre "stuff" that people feel needs to be stuck everywhere.
Back then it was chrome everywhere, compare it to that
@@MetalMike50 The chrome wasn't an optional cost of another 30% or so of the list price of the vehicle though was it.
Ferrari are very good at fitting cheap plastic looking bits of trim in places where they offer an "upgraded" carbon option - say like a £3,500 cup holder. It's not unusual to find a car that has Carbon options in excess of £70,000.
Some of the nicest modern Ferrari interiors I've seen was where certain parts of the trim were painted body colour. Carbon fibre trim is the emperors new clothes IMO.
It is relevant on a lightweight race car as structural panels for a purpose. The F40 is a perfect example of it's intended design use, it's not there to be "pretty" in fact the F40 generally looks rather industrial, but it's beauty is in it's function, like the 250 in this video.
This collection is absolutely insane. What a video!
Loved the video, both cars back to back perfect. Can you please do more of this kind of videos. And that gto just standing there. Something for next time....
I don't know how James does it but every new video is better than the video before. awesome
Perfect video again dude, smashed it!!
Overwhelmingly incredible video! I will need to rewatch it :)
That may be the most insane group of Ferrari's under one roof, absolutely majestic!
Amazing story behind the 250 tdf, and you can see the resemblance to yours! I hope you bought the 1m
Yep that first drive video was one of your best. I loved the backing music. The car and the music worked well. Just out of interest where was the drive? Dale's?
Now thats what i call a dream garage. Great stuff James👍
