    I painted cabinet doors a couple of years ago and needed to elevate them above the table, Rolls of TP worked like a charm. Nice hight and non scratch. Re usable { no desciption at this time} :}

    Certainly not boring stuff for me as body work and painting are the two things I'm most concerned about for my restoration. My 1961 TR3 is down to a bare frame that just needs to be sand blasted and then I can paint it and start putting parts back together. I've watched most of your older TR3 videos and look forward to more new ones.

    hell David
    Please stop saying this is boring, I find it to be useful information for my friends who have never done any body work of any kind. It is great top be able to refer to your video to show them how to do this kind of work.

    Your TR3 is looking like an easier resto than your TR250, which is a great thing! I'm not sure that I've heard what color you want for the car, but the black example in the thumbnail is pretty sharp, especially with the red interior.

      @cheftush  Год назад +1

      Hi John, Factory colours are black exterior, red interior so we will be going back to that combo. Cheers, Tush

    I like the brass hinges. Will you clear coat them? Thanks for the video and all the tips. Have a good week.

      I’m wondering how clear coat would hold up…I suppose it couldn’t hurt to try right?

      @BruceBoschek Год назад +1

      @@cheftush David, you might look into Everbrite or ProtectaClear. They are made to protect brass, etc. against tarnishing and discoloring. Everbrite is for use on unprotected brass outdoors. You might read the blurb on both of them and decide which is more suitable.

    Dave, why not clear coat the brass hinges to avoid them tarnishing?

    Very nice work and I am soaking in as much as I can from you so I don't think that work is boring at all. What size compressor do you have? Trying to see what you have had success with versus what is recommended.

    • @cheftush
      @cheftush  Год назад +1

      Right now, I have a pretty small compressor, only 30 gallon. Previously, I had a 60 gallon compressor but it would heat up quite a bit and make quite a lot of moisture in the lines. I think the actual size of the tank is not as important at the CFM rating of the compressor. The higher CFM the better. Your paint gun will require a certain CFM to operate properly. Some guns can need as much as 12 CFM or as little as 6. Filtration and moisture control of your air is key so be sure to invest in a good filter system.

    Hi Dave, are you sure you have ordered enough scotch brite pads? Enough for another ten cars I think !!

    • @cheftush
      @cheftush  Год назад

      You’d be surprised how quickly you go through them…the whole interior of the car will need to be scuffed before it’s hit with epoxy primer…I’m sure I’ll use quite a few then. Oh, I’ve also got grey scotch brite that are finer 😉
