I was newly living in Chicago in '94 when he was 78 and I thought about getting tickets to see him at the United Center. But I heard the acoustics were bad there and obviously he was on his last legs and I decided not to bother. Boy was that dumb!
Before gangster rap, there was this man. Born into humble beginnings. Rubbed shoulders with the boys. Got into scraps. Had his ups, downs and ups again. Built an empire. Star of Stage and Screen. Ladies and Gentleman, Frank Sinatra.
One of the very few live performances where you see Frank rolling with the punches and not giving one single care when he deviates from his studio recording of the song. So charismatic and animated -- impossible to be bored watching him.
Singers deviate from the original because they get a little bored singing it the exact same way every time they sing it soooo many times. Also some people find it fun to hear a slightly different version in the heat of the moment
The USA; what great talents our country has produced....a shame that some of our populace doesn't have an appreciation for this country and the many treasures produced here. Musical talent to be just one...very fortunate to have been born in an era of these talents such as Frank Sinatra & the all of the other greats...What do we have now coming out of the so-called talent pool...hard to appreciate but they have guts to get up on stage and do what they think is great.
My Dad loved Frank - and was fortunate to have a lifelong wish of his satisfied when he saw the Great Man in South Africa. My Daughter loves Frank Sinatra's recordings and I am totally a fan of the Great Man.
always having that drink in his hand. This is the best music ever, and you guys should appreciate buble and anyone who keeps this alive. Best type of music ever, showtune, this is real singing or real voice.. Anyone can be a popstar, Almost no one can be as good as Sinatra, buble, Bennett ect.
Another example of Frank being humble and not afraid to make a mistake. He missed the key and made fun of himself with the crowd loving it. I can't imagine any of today's artists missing a key and laughing it off (otherwise being human) live on stage. Gaga would swear the audience to silence, if she was not lip syncing. I miss people on stage as apposed to today's robots.
Oh yes she does. I guess you missed that short part of one of her concerts where she stopped singing for about 3 seconds but her voice went on. Maybe she is a ventriloquist!
Sorry my friend, I started reading music and playing the guitar and organ when I was around 7 years old and also worked as a technical director at a TV station. I can spot lip sync a mile away.
Aloha Frank Sinatra !!!! Thank you for your rendition of "My Kind of Town." You got the voice !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Your humble fan, Robert S.J. Hu September 10, 2020. Rest In Peace my friend !!!!!
This is what was so great about Frank. He would make fun of himself if he couldn't find a note which was very rare. There will never be another Frank. I am waiting to meet him in heaven.
No doubt about it, Frank WAS "The Voice" of the 20th Century, and, maybe even beyond! But I'd bet there will never EVER be an artist like FS again, he was simply inimitable! (Though a few try, by singing his songs, they can't really compare.)
Now this could only happen to a guy like me and only happen in a town like this and so I say to each of you most gratefully as I throw each one of you a kiss this…this is my kind of town, Chicago is my kind of town, Chicago is my kind of people too, people who, smile at you and each…each time I roam, Chicago is it’s calling me home, Chicago is It makes me jump up and down, it’s my kind of town!!
As you know Manuel, Chicago is my favorite town in the States. And we had so many good moments there! We were students, lived with low income, had many friends, learned a lot and had a good time!
A lot of times the weather in Chicago is not good. But you go down on the lake front in summer and it can be the most beautiful weather driving up lake shore drive in my convertible it the most amazing beautiful weather and just looking at how beautiful the lake front is just great
I actually cried the day he died. I remember it well..was on my way to work and walking past a newspaper stand in London..."Ol' Blue Eyes is dead". I was in shock as I thought he'd always be around 😢
اقسم بالله اقسم بالله اقسم بالله افضل فنان ف العالم افضل فنان في مجرة درب التبانة هو فرانك سيناترا و افضل فنان عربي على مر التاريخ و العصور استاذ عبد الحليم حافظ

His ability to improvise made him such a extraordinary performer
Absolutely. His charisma was palpable!
Right on i guess that comes with singing a hell of lot.
Makes us unable to sing with him too 😂 What a man he was 😢❤️
What I would give to be able to go back and watch Sinatra live in concert just once
I was newly living in Chicago in '94 when he was 78 and I thought about getting tickets to see him at the United Center. But I heard the acoustics were bad there and obviously he was on his last legs and I decided not to bother. Boy was that dumb!
I have never scene anyone work an audience better.
@@Baritone45 That sucks, man!
Indeed, to see him at Sands Copa Room in the 50s or early 60s! Unfortunately Vegas has become an adult Disneyland these days.
Joe V you are not kidding xx
Frank has something ...somebody sign this guy up 😉
Frank would say things like, "Get me a bourbon on the rocks kiddd 🥃 snap to ittt ...and snap out of ittt, while you at it" 😊
How do you capture America's 🇺🇸 heart ❤️ ...just love them 💕 that simple, pimple 😅

I just love that song, though I’ve never been in Chicago yet.
Buy Sinatra albums for Christmas 🎄 2024 ...don't forget ...and have no regrets 😊
Before gangster rap, there was this man. Born into humble beginnings. Rubbed shoulders with the boys. Got into scraps. Had his ups, downs and ups again. Built an empire. Star of Stage and Screen. Ladies and Gentleman, Frank Sinatra.
He owns it.
He could sing a nursery rhyme and still make it swing😮
He was God's gift. I will always give thanks.
Some people are very talented, some people are very unique, some people are great, then there is Mr. Frank Sinatra, the one and only. God love you.
The one and only Mr. FRANK SINATRA 🎸🥁🎼❤️🎶🎷🎲🎼🎻🎺🎵🎶

Fantastic performance. Not to forget the perfect big band 👌.
This man feels so alive, even if he isn't physically around anymore. He left such a huge mark on the world, much respect.

+Mark Francis Sinatra Vinette
GaGa doesn't lip-sync if that's what you're saying man
Oh yes she does. I guess you missed that short part of one of her concerts where she stopped singing for about 3 seconds but her voice went on. Maybe she is a ventriloquist!
It was probably backing vocals, she can't sing polyphonically
Sorry my friend, I started reading music and playing the guitar and organ when I was around 7 years old and also worked as a technical director at a TV station.
I can spot lip sync a mile away.
+Mark Francis Sinatra Vinette thanks for your precision.

The only one who errs and make of this something great!
Only Francis Albert Sinatra has the ability to convince someone to move to Chicago in the Winter. Simply brilliant.
The one and only FAS; loved his voice for a long while now, since the tender age of 17; it's his presence being a fine actor also counts!
The best, the greatest, the ONE AND ONLY, FRANKY… OL' BLUE EYES!!
Anyone here listening to the great Frank on the 4th of aug 2022. 🇮🇪
That golden microphone doesn't work for anyone else
perfect pitch, tone...rhythm...and he always gives credit to his band, the composer and arranger! wow...top class AND the VOICE:)
I would kill to have the honor to see him sing again but sadly i was born in the wrong time :|
Legend.
Without doubt the best voice and best entertainer of his generation or any other. Master of his craft.
Mr. Sinatra, king of voice ever.
Who will fill his shoes?
No one.
But if we try to fill his shoes, we can work wonders
Francis, never lets you down ...just like Chicago 👍

The Chairman- greatest singer of the 20th Century. Rest well Mr S.
I would say greatest interpreter of American popular song of the 20th Century.
No doubt about it, Frank WAS "The Voice" of the 20th Century, and, maybe even beyond! But I'd bet there will never EVER be an artist like FS again, he was simply inimitable! (Though a few try, by singing his songs, they can't really compare.)
