- We hope you enjoy our unique love story. Growing up Amish our courtship and dating was different than most!
Join us as we share our lives from the time we first met through our engagement up to our wedding.
PS. At 8:19, I mentioned in 2019 I was 18. But it was actually in 1999 🙂

I am also Swiss born and raised amish. I remember my granddaughters now husband came to my house and ask me if I would give my blessing to marry her. And in teasing I asked what if I said no his reply was I'll work at it till I said yes.

Those are some great stories, I really enjoyed them! I think that most relationships these days are missing the spirituality they need to be a great relationship and so many people take relationships for granted and think only of themselves when they should be putting their partner and God before themselves. If people would let god into their lives and relationships more the world would be a better place and there would be less divorces and single parent homes. Really appreciate both of you sharing your stories with us!

I absolutely loved where you said that your courtship and engagement wasn't easy but you held onto the dream believing it was your confirmation from God! Thank you so much for sharing the story of how you met and Joas, how you finally summoned the courage to to ask Priscilla out! Thanks for your post! Even Armenia is affected! Yes, we are trying to be very cautious and careful. It appears the last few days the virus is really spreading here even in our town. We are still working, but being very careful and doing whatever we can to stay safe.
We will show a picture in one of our videos of my mothers quilt that she made a few years ago. She is still quilting even today at age 85!

Ours was similar in that we waited 4 years before dating because I felt God saying, “Wait”. Wouldn’t change anything. Happily married for 13 years and have 2 beautiful girls and one in heaven. Our struggles are what make our marriage stronger. God is sooooo good!

You look like you were made for each other. I am Apostolic. We date with chaperones. We fast and pray at the age 17 for the Lord to give us a companion. We date with marriage as the intention. There isn't a bunch of random dating. People often testify I have only had one boyfriend/girlfriend. They are now my wife/husband. Beautiful story!

I really think in today’s world our divorce rate is quite high because people rush into relationships and don’t do what you both did, in the way of waiting and by asking your dad, respect!! It’s so refreshing to see others with the same values as myself. I guess that’s why it was so touching. In my religion we have arranged marriages. My husband and I have been together for nearly 24 years with no regrets.

Talk about fate. God led you two together. It was like that with my husband and me too. I went to meet him on a blind date while staying with my girlfriend and her husband in Virginia; I was 25 and he was 30. Within one week we were engaged and in two weeks we made a commitment to marry. We have been married 34 years, have four living children and wouldn’t change our lives. God called us to be together and it is always wonderful and work.❤️🙏

I love the way you both & children convey the message in every vlog. I feel like moving to Montana and live with the Amish community although I am not Amish but a practicing christian. I have witnessed & love the Amish in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. Been there several times. Just came across your vlogs few minutes ago & enjoyed watching it! I have visited Missoula, Montana from Lewiston, Idaho during our northwest long drive from Washington state. I love your attitude towards dating. My grandfather used to say “Every date is a potential mate”. That’s not very common anymore. My husband and I met over 48ish years ago. I had also prayed for a spouse but didn’t recognize it when I met my husband. (Faith was a given). But our first year our relationship was primarily letters and a few phone calls (We also lived far apart) I know we established a friendship first. I wouldn’t trade it for the world. Love your series!!

Somehow I have found myself to Mennonite / Amish RUclips! I am absolutely in love with this.community! I admire their insane work ethic and simple way of life not to mention their love of God! Similarly my husband and I have been together the exact time as you guys! We met in1997 when he was 15 and I was 17 and got married in 2002! Been married for almost 19 yrs and have a son almost 16. Oh and we have a friend from her in South Alabama that lives there in Libby!

From the Massachusetts, even though me and my wife are not Amish we are Italian and catholic, but been together for 34 yrs lots of ups and downs but we believe in a higher power and we do our share of prayer… may the light keep on shining on your family

What a glorious example of the common sense and contrite roots we have strayed so far from- that produce gloriously humble and well adjusted Christian adults-... no matter what denomination one is from..the church needs desperately to go back to simple foundational living .

I just happened upon your 'You Tube' channel last night and I watched 'your love story' video.. I heard that you lived in Ovid Elsie when you were a young girl.. I'm from St. Johns Michigan that was 9 miles to the west of Ovid and use to work at The KMart Store in St.Johns when it opened in the early 90's.. I remember seeing Amish family's come in a shop and someone told me that the family was from Ovid.. It may or may not have been your family, but I just wanted to say I really enjoyed your video so I subscribed to your channel and I'm sure I'll enjoy watching you and your family's.

I needed to find your videos. Seeing the way you respect one another makes my heart contrite and regretful for my attitude following disappointments in my marriage. It’s not constant, but a recurring battle. My husband and I were raised different from most of the world. Fundamental Christian values. We have that in common. You are inspirational. You had mention Bonners Ferry and a Bakery in Bonners Ferry. My wife and I took a drive to Bonners Ferry one day and went to Yoder's Bakery, We enjoyed the store and we met Mr. Yoder. Or at least that is who he said he was, he may have been on younger Yoder but he explain a little bit about the store. We ate their realllly good sandwiches and bought some goodies to bring home. Your video of how you met was very interesting. Thank you for sharing your love story. We live north of Spokane Wa about 30 miles.

Thank you for sharing your love story. My husband and I also had a long distance courtship. I was very shy, like Priscilla. I didn't have trouble talking on the phone or video call, but was quiet as a mouse in person. Thankfully, my husband stuck it out, and we were married just over a year after meeting online.

Another funny thing is I had watched a video your Dad did about a cabin he built for a older Lady and I just stumbled on your video tonight and I kept hearing you guys say Libby, Montana. So I had shared that information with Jeff. Now I will share this video with him. God has things and people touch your life for a blessing. My wife and I spent our courtship 6,000 miles apart. She was working on a teaching credential and living with her sister and I was living in the Philippines doing missionary work. In those two years we talked twice by phone. Once the connection was so bad we had to yell to be heard. No room there for tenderness. But I came home, and got married and have now been married 54 years. God is good. 😀

By the way. We live just outside Switzerland County. We have a lot of Amish out here. We also live in a log home. I see you have chosen to polly your logs. We did one bathroom and went back and forth on wether we should do the whole house ( the only rooms that are not logs is the bathrooms and basement. I wanted a couple walls I could paint) I wish we would have seeing yours again from your videos before. Beautiful. Looks so much better. Almost to old to do it now but I love yours
