I never got why Klay needed to be down to one creature for this strategy. At first I thought it was so Tom would use up his mugic but he still had 3 left before he lost maxxor. It seems stupid because maxxor was the only one on tom’s team who could do fire attacks, magmon or not klay would’ve had an advantage regardless of which creatures he had since Tom had no more mugic and ineffective attacks by the time magmon was as code.
Klay’s strategy needed to get Maxxor off the board as soon as possible. His other creatures were there to weaken Maxxor enough to ensure Magmon would have a ensured victory
He knew that toms team would be largely water attack creatures, except his favourite creature maxxor. So Klay used his entire team to target the one creature that wouldn’t be negatively affected by the lava pond.Magmon also gets a significant boost there, so it makes sense for him to be the one with the flux bauble. By the end of Klays team, Maxxor has low energy and the rest of toms team will be much weaker since the location will always be to Klays advantage. Losing his creatures wasn’t necessary, but it was just to make sure Maxxor would be a threat when he faced Magnon

Creatures with fire attacks get +5 additional damage. However, magmon specifically also gets an additional 5. Add to that the fact that magmon has base "fire 5" and his fire attacks deal 15 additional. It doesn't matter if maxxir can control fire too, magmon deals 10 more damage
Funny thing. The Lava Pond increases fire attacks, give Magmon in specific stronger Fire Attacks, but reduces all Air Attacks. The location actually has no effect on Water attacks. The one thing that this episode focused so much on was completely false. Great narative though. Always loved these types of episodes that focused more on strategy and experimentation than adventure. At least a little bit.

@@brysonmcginnis1663 In the actual card game, the location is flipped up from the top of a location card deck before creatures battle each other. If a creature has a Flux Bauble, at the beginning of battle between two creatures, the flux bauble lets you look at the top two location cards of the location deck and rearrange them WITHOUT changing the current location the creatures are already fighting in.

Technically, Air attacks are weakened at the Lava Pond. Not water. If Klay wanted to weaken Tom’s Water creatures, he’d stocked his location deck with the Storm Tunnel.
I just wish Tom hadn't of had Xerv in his Deck before he met him. He would have made a great new Overworlder to Tom's Deck. Also who else is surprised/thinks that Mezmar and Pyretheon aren't/should be Mepedians
Xerv actually might be at a stronger state than he previously was, or gotten new experiences that one can draw on in a drome match. Maybe Tom wanted to see what he had on him?
Accurate and Errors Accurate: 1-Magmon is stronger at Lava Pound(1st version) +5 attack for being a fire creature and +5 Fire for being Magmon 2-Mugician's Lyre gives creatures a mugician counter 3-Battlegear doesn't work at Iron Pillar 4-Reprise allows you to get a Mugic from the discard Pile Errors 1-Although Reprise effect is correct its cost is actually 2 instead of 1 2-Flux Bauble doesn´t change the location during a battle at tcg 3-In tcg no Magmon´s card so far has more than 1 mugician counter
When I was a kid and this series was very well known, I used to be an underworld player online, and almost always used Magmon Engulfed as one of my front liners after this episode. Gotta say, Klay was an asshole during the whole three seasons, but we can’t deny his and Crystella fast thinking to create a perfect strategy to defeat Tom (minutes before he entered the Dome); Magmon Engulfed attack at 75 of power, plus his special ability which makes 5 extra damage with fire attacks, plus the 5 extra damage with fire attacks of the Lava Pond, plus 5 extra damage with fire attacks for being Magmon in the Lava Pond (a place he knows inside and out), and to top it all being a place where Air attacks are reduce by 5 and water attacks are almost ineffective (even if it Isn’t mentioned in the card it’s just obvious) you get a monster of 90 attack power points (as strong as Chaor, one of Perim strongest creatures and leaders) in a place that he knows very well and where no one can defeat him. I remember destroying lots of other players with this strategy 😂
The writers also forgot that Magmon has Recklessness so after 4 battles of slamming the Tom's creatures he would have eventually burnt himself out as well.
I used to play the card game, and I seem to recall that you couldn’t have more than two copies of a card at a time in a deck, so making all of his locations lava ponds is an illegal move
Okay, Tom’s biggest mistake was Relying on Maxxor too much in this battle. (And yes i know about Crystella blabbing his strategy to clay.) For me, i would’ve given Maxxor Liqualizer so he has water attacks. I would’ve given Crawsectus a pyroblaster. That way he has fire attacks on top of his Earth and water attacks. A song of embernova would’ve helped since clay uses mainly underworlders. Geo Flourish would’ve helped too in his strategy. It heals 15 energy for creatures that can do earth and water attacks.
Yeah don't know why but this show popped into my head recently and decided to watch it for nostalgia. I didn't realize this game was still relevant enough to have people talking about the show and it's rules in 2020. Is the game still getting new cards and shit?
I am guessing Clay’s strategy was to get Tom to exhaust Maxxor’s battle gear and use up any healing or damaging Mugics Tom had with his other creatures, then have a lava pond powered Magmon tear through Tom’s water attackers, that’s why Clay had Magmon in the back
I had two Barrath Beyond cards years back one had more energy while the other had more courage one of my rarer creatures due to not having anyone in my school to play the game with and I didn’t really play online
It's funny how nothing works in this episode. You can't have more than 2 lava ponds in a deck and lava ponds lowers the strengh of air attacks, not water attacks. Still a good episode and a great show.
I don't know. They also forgot that Magmon has Recklessness, which renders him weaker and weaker everytime he attacks, which helps counterbalance him and that the Lava Pond weakens Air attacks, not Water. The Storm Tunnel weakens Water attacks.
@@Igarappappa in the show, creatures can use whatever attacks they’d be capable of. For example, a scan of Hoton gives out allmageddon. Attack cards aren’t really a thing as far as the drone matches go

He didn't put multiple copies of lava pond he actually put one copy of lava pond in his location deck in other words his location deck only had one card.
Cheating is a matter of perspective and perception What one calls cheating Is another’s strategy to maximize a particular strategy. But in Clay’s case in his narrow mind wish to destroy his opponent He didn’t know that his Opponent had a scan of Iron Pillar which would render any battle gear he had worthless A Shame he didn’t possess the Mugic “Song of Translocation”, because then he’d be able to salvage his win.
The more you watch episodes like this the more pathetic you realize Clay and Christella are. A decent Chaotic player would only need to rely on their own skills and talent to beat other players. Those two have to resort to scamming and cheating to try and win matches. No wonder Clay got smacked by code master Enthor when a decent player could actually beat 1 or 2 code master creatures.
For some people the ends justify the means. Doesn't matter how much you cheap and scheme, a win is a win. Even though by playing dirty you're only showing you're not actually as skilled as you claim you are.
As well as Strategy, quick thinking, and of course knowledge too in Chaotic from mugics, to creatures, battlegear, even locations as well as various attacks
because we need human villains also unless its something "major" ha puns its not their job to get involved or maybe each code master is like a admin and they each have their own thing to monitor?
If they don't see it, they can't do anything. Cheating is a pretty BIG deal in Chaotic, something bannable, but it can only be invoked if you have ironclad proof.

@Jay Harv28 They do? It's been a long time since I played Chaotic, so I'm not sure how rules work. So after every battle, the energy lost in the battle is restored?
@Jay Harv28 Thanks. So overall, there's not much "weakening", except for the loss of mugix and mugicians.

Clearly Clay descends from The Grinch.
9:32 Make's you wonder how this Future telling ability even works in the game. In perim it make's sense as its magic, but In Chaotic its all programmed. Unless the game can scan the brain waves of a player to give to the other side.
How ANY of it works was never really explained. Within the Cardgame it allows you to look at and determine the order of the next 2 cards in either player's Attack or Location Deck. In Perim it gives you flashes of the near future.
@@nmr7203 Late reply, but I meant the Virtual Reality type game, not the card game itself. Since the never bothered explaining it.
@@Igarappappa nearly 80 episodes have been made, and they never bothered to explain the general mechanics of the game that could be used to both give insights of the game, and to entertain us.
We really never gotten an explanation on anything in Chaotic (location), the most important question is how it came to be? Why is the tech level in Chaotic above literally everything else on Earth? Why did the makers think its a good idea for humans to interfere and mess with another worlds population lives? Important world building questions are never explained.
@@cassettecobra3848 I'm sure they had plans since the original plan for the series was to have 7 seasons.
@@Igarappappa Seven seasons?! Holy cow that's a lot, Chaotic would probably will get at least over 150 episodes if it continued. With the marillions only being season 2 villains, they felt like they were going to be the series finale villains lol.

Not to mention that Magmon is voiced by Eric Stuart
12:28 it's like tom forgot that maxxor's fire attacks are stronger too
Creatures with fire attacks get +5 additional damage. However, magmon specifically also gets an additional 5. Add to that the fact that magmon has base "fire 5" and his fire attacks deal 15 additional. It doesn't matter if maxxir can control fire too, magmon deals 10 more damage
They're ALL the Lava Pond! This scene stuck with me more than any other in this show
Funny thing. At least a little bit.
then again they also gave takinom fire attacks even though in real game i heard she doens't has them
at least the show stays consistent to its own logic (And i love seeing fire attacks being on equal footing against water, especially as a player who likes fire types on pokemon)
@@ianr.navahuber2195 The original Takinom didn't but it was added to her later versions.
@@MrChaotic4 yeah Shadow Knight Takinom gains air and fire attacks
I now know that the actual Flux Bauble card doesn't work the way it does in this episode.
Still, an awesome episode.
How does it work?
@@brysonmcginnis1663 In the actual card game, the location is flipped up from the top of a location card deck before creatures battle each other. If a creature has a Flux Bauble, at the beginning of battle between two creatures, the flux bauble lets you look at the top two location cards of the location deck and rearrange them WITHOUT changing the current location the creatures are already fighting in.
Elhotel Emoto ohhh
I think I finally get why I prefer this flash animated season visually, it's minimalist. I don't usually like that in shows or art but it WORKS very well here.

Me too.
Klay: *grumbles* HE CHEATED!
Me: hey, your the one who put only lava ponds ffs and used a flux bauble to cause problems. You don’t have to blame him, but you can blame it on yourself.
He used your strength against you that's not cheating that's strategy. Major Tom wins.
Anyone else find it ironic Clay an underworld player didn’t know iron pillar’s effect til he got there? I know he’s not that smart but still.
You know Krystella (idk the spelling) told Clay right outside the drome what Tom's plan was. Clay had like 2-3 minutes to figure out a plan. He may be an ass, but he's not stupid.
Is it just me or is Mezmar's voice actor the same guy who played officer Trudge in Yu-Gi-Oh 5Ds?
Yep that was Dan Green. He did do Officer Trudge and Yami Yugi in Yu-Gi-Oh
He also did Normal Yugi
Maxxor was Goku and Tom was Sonic.
Scanners are pretty impressive peripherals for a trading card game.
Technically, Air attacks are weakened at the Lava Pond. Not water. If Klay wanted to weaken Tom’s Water creatures, he’d stocked his location deck with the Storm Tunnel.
Show effects and real life effects will be different
I just wish Tom hadn't of had Xerv in his Deck before he met him. He would have made a great new Overworlder to Tom's Deck. Also who else is surprised/thinks that Mezmar and Pyretheon aren't/should be Mepedians
Mipedians are based on desert reptiles and adapted for desert life. They wouldn't work right in the desert like they do.
Xerv actually might be at a stronger state than he previously was, or gotten new experiences that one can draw on in a drome match. Maybe Tom wanted to see what he had on him?
Man I miss this show. Hope the rumors of a return ore true
It's funny that they gave Maxxor 3 mugic for this episode only. He normally only has 2 mugic
Tom's original Maxxor card always had 3 mugic counters.
Tom’ original maxxor was like that which is pretty good
Chaotic was unique for having a random stat generator on every card, so Maxxor could have had 1, 2 or 3 mugicians.
Was painful watching him use them all in the first match
Goddamnit!
Jesus Tom who uses all their mugic in match one?!
I’m surprised Tom didn’t suspect that Klay was cheating.
Accurate and Errors
Accurate:
1-Magmon is stronger at Lava Pound(1st version) +5 attack for being a fire creature and +5 Fire for being Magmon
2-Mugician's Lyre gives creatures a mugician counter
3-Battlegear doesn't work at Iron Pillar
4-Reprise allows you to get a Mugic from the discard Pile
Errors
1-Although Reprise effect is correct its cost is actually 2 instead of 1
2-Flux Bauble doesn´t change the location during a battle at tcg
3-In tcg no Magmon´s card so far has more than 1 mugician counter
When you scan a Creature you get its current stats. Maybe when Klay scanned Magmon he had 2 mugicians
I freaking love the judge
How does Clay get away with all this cheating? Does this game even have rules?
19:24
Me: next stop: Ground level

Krystella was a sly antagonist. Wow, Klay was a pain. Good stuff w/Tom coming through.
Guess Peyton's hanging tight for this ep. :)

this is one of my favorite episodes
3 Top Creatures:
Mezzmarr
Owis
Vidav
Can’t wait for the revamp
Hearing Zerv, I can only think of who I think was voiced by the same guy: Dr. Z. Both this and Dinosaur King are some of the OG shows I watched.
That voice actor was Eric Stuart who voiced as Zerv including Magmon
It is weird that the actual Crawsectus card is better at earth attacks than water
The writers also forgot that Magmon has Recklessness so after 4 battles of slamming the Tom's creatures he would have eventually burnt himself out as well.
@@AllyOJustice And that the Lava Pond reduces Air attacks, not water, that's the storm tunnel's effect.
@@AzurknightOMEGA that does sound like it's backwards though in a logical sense
The writers look liberties early on in the series(sound familiar).
@@AllyOJustice Creatures heal after each battle, so Magmon would have been fine after each win.

Chaotic is my favorite episodes, player 😂😊
I used to play the card game, and I seem to recall that you couldn’t have more than two copies of a card at a time in a deck, so making all of his locations lava ponds is an illegal move
Okay, Tom’s biggest mistake was Relying on Maxxor too much in this battle. (And yes i know about Crystella blabbing his strategy to clay.)
For me, i would’ve given Maxxor Liqualizer so he has water attacks.
I dont think we ever found out what Sarah and Crystellas screen names were
From Chaotiki
Sarah is ChaotiKween
Krystella screen name was never revealed
evil grinch smile?
Yeah don't know why but this show popped into my head recently and decided to watch it for nostalgia. I didn't realize this game was still relevant enough to have people talking about the show and it's rules in 2020. Is the game still getting new cards and shit?
I never even knew there were games of this franchise, until recently!
Is it just me or does the announcer sounds sick
Which kind of sick? The one that shows how awesome something or someone is? Or the medical terms?
I am guessing Clay’s strategy was to get Tom to exhaust Maxxor’s battle gear and use up any healing or damaging Mugics Tom had with his other creatures, then have a lava pond powered Magmon tear through Tom’s water attackers, that’s why Clay had Magmon in the back
You got it
Toms match was awesome😅
Is it me or is that kid klay tried to rip off the voice of Yugi Moto?
It was
And failed because no one can dethrone the king
Please don't tell me he also uses the "Heart of the cards" in the dromes.
Well I know that Tom's voice actor also played Sonic the Hedgehog.
Why did Clay sacrifice all those creatures, again?
he was probably just trying to style on Tom.
He wasn't necessarily trying to sacrifice them he was just trying to take out Maxxor first.
2:21 you know someone is bad and/or evil is she scares a snake, especially a sentient snake

Clay could've still attacked Tom's water creatures before losing a bunch of his, why didn't he.
Lure into a false sense of security?
So, does Klay just have 1 Flux Bobble? And if so, why not put Magmon up front to save some creatures? Just seems like a bad strategy.
Well it’s because he wants to save the best for last
It’s also established Clay isn’t exactly that bright
It's funny how nothing works in this episode.
You can't have more than 2 lava ponds in a deck and lava ponds lowers the strengh of air attacks, not water attacks.
Still a good episode and a great show.
Anyone else wonder why Tom didn’t try to fight back with discipline attacks?
I don't know. They also forgot that Magmon has Recklessness, which renders him weaker and weaker everytime he attacks, which helps counterbalance him and that the Lava Pond weakens Air attacks, not Water. The Storm Tunnel weakens Water attacks.
He stacked his deck with Water attacks and some are pure elemental with no real Discipline challenges.
@@Igarappappa in the show, creatures can use whatever attacks they’d be capable of. For example, a scan of Hoton gives out allmageddon. Attack cards aren’t really a thing as far as the drone matches go

19:41 Klay: HE CHEATED!
He cheated? I'm sorry didn't you cheat first? I mean I looked up the rules and it says you can only have 2 copies of cards with the same name. In other words Klay cheated first by having multiple copies of the lava pond in his location deck.
He didn't put multiple copies of lava pond he actually put one copy of lava pond in his location deck in other words his location deck only had one card.
He used his strengths against you that’s not cheating that’s strategy Major Tom is the winner
Cheating is a matter of perspective and perception
What one calls cheating
Is another’s strategy to maximize a particular strategy.
But in Clay’s case in his narrow mind wish to destroy his opponent
He didn’t know that his Opponent had a scan of Iron Pillar which would render any battle gear he had worthless
A Shame he didn’t possess the Mugic “Song of Translocation”, because then he’d be able to salvage his win.
I love it when cheaters get destroyed, justice has been served 🎉
The more you watch episodes like this the more pathetic you realize Clay and Christella are. A decent Chaotic player would only need to rely on their own skills and talent to beat other players. Those two have to resort to scamming and cheating to try and win matches. No wonder Clay got smacked by code master Enthor when a decent player could actually beat 1 or 2 code master creatures.
For some people the ends justify the means. Doesn't matter how much you cheap and scheme, a win is a win. Even though by playing dirty you're only showing you're not actually as skilled as you claim you are.
I know right
Episodes like this makes me wonder why Khristella and klay suck
As well as Strategy, quick thinking, and of course knowledge too in Chaotic from mugics, to creatures, battlegear, even locations as well as various attacks
Why don't the Code masters stop Sarah and Clay from doing what they do?
because we need human villains also unless its something "major" ha puns its not their job to get involved or maybe each code master is like a admin and they each have their own thing to monitor?
I’m pretty sure you meant Krystella
