It is interesting that with that much rust on the brake hardware you didn't choose to replace the old rusted hardware with new hardware so that the adjustment screw would move freely. I am currently replacing all my brakes as driving a 2010 with 189,000 miles on the motor, I have only had to replace my brakes 3 times now, and figured I would go ahead and replace the parking brake pads and hardware. It is always good to have new hardware with new parts.
Good video. I was replacing my brakes and rotors on a 2011 Equinox at 108,000 miles. When I pulled the rotor off (passenger side) one of the parking brake shoe pad's outer covering separated from the metal and fell off. A lot of rust. I have the parts on order.

Good mileage on your brakes. What brand are you using?
