Replaces my effluent pump, have this model dose timer. Pump is hardwired, and runs when the orange and green led is lit up. Only shuts off when the low water cut off float switches to off not by the timer. Is there a video that goes over possible trouble shooting of this timer? Do I need to reset the timer some how?
@@stevenwood7131 no if the float is up the. the pump will engage that’s what it is supposed to do. if the float is in the down position then the pump should not engage.
Thanks for that. What would be approx. dosing for 1000 gal tank., no clue about pump hp. Installer went out of business. Two local guys told me they only service what they install. Back in the "old days" I'd go look, but my strength and health are kinds wobbly. Been on a ventilator for 18 months.... Hate to drop that thing in there...lol, $22,000.
@@wholesalesepticsupply9801 thanks. I contacted the State and they had the installation info, pump. Gpm, etc. unfortunately when I finally pulled the pump it wasn’t what was listed, Gould, but a Zöeller. My timer battery had lost charge but I finally found a septic guy. His tie rod broke and he ended up in my front yard. He set the timer for me while we waited for the towtruck. Lol.
What would cause terminals 7 and 2 to stop having power? My system has run fine for years and I have Brian's issue of no lights. We've replaced the timer with a brand new one and still have this problem@@wholesalesepticsupply9801
Both of the on and off lights on the timer turn off intermitly, like sometimes they both turn off for an entire day and then they turn back on? Any thoughts on what I can do?
mine is coming on every 1 and fifty minutes not matter what I set the dials at...shutting the breakers off before i set it,,,is it broke? its 20 years old...
well i just got the new one from you folks...doing the same thing..I set the red arrow for 4 mins on, and the green one for 8 hours off...comes on for a few mins. then goes off...1 hour later it comes back on..prolly not the timer then!! @@wholesalesepticsupply9801
I have a timer like this but it doesn’t have two lines it has one red my screw in the top right corner has letters it’s hooked up to my grow lights but I can’t get this timer to work right
Dosing is the time the water pump runs. It’s used on drip systems or a system that is smaller and you want to control how much water the system is receiving. Say you have a 500 gpd system but once a week 1500 gallons is used high use once a day. You would want to dose the receiving plant over time to keep it at 500 gpd. Larger tanks are put in front of the system so it can dose it. That’s one reason it is used. Another is field lines that can only take so much water so it has to be dosed over time.
Depends on the pump and the system you have and what you are trying to accomplish. There are literally thousands of ways. If you call the office and explain what you are trying to accomplish I’m sure we can help you.
Thankyou so much it was very helpful for me you just save my day 👍🏻👍🏻great video

The hp on a pump is stamped on it very hard to tell what it would be. A 1 hp will do more than double a 1/2 so the calculation is Varys widely

Another question please.
Does the aerator run continuously, or is that also on a timer?
.
should run 24/7 in 95 percent of cases. There are some areas it turns off this is for nitrogen reduction in areas close to waterways.
It would 280 gallons a day so about 11-12 gallons an hour.
I've set my timer, but the On & Off Lights do not turn on when I energize the unit...any thoughts?
Terminal 7 and 2 have no power.

If it’s 8 pin you can swap it out.
What is a standard set up for 4 adults in a household?
It’s a 280 gallons so 11-12 gallons an hour. Is simple you can do various things though every 2 hours at 22-24 gallons and so and so forth.
@@wholesalesepticsupply9801 Thank you. I'll take a look at my as-built and see what my pump is rated for.
What is ''Dosing''?
Is this just the time that the air pump is pumping per day?

😊👍
Thanks.
How do you know if your timer has gone bad? Mine is about 14 years old.
LShizer you can set it to go off and on in a min if it does it’s still working. Also the green and red switch in them.
How do you determine your run time and off time?
