I don’t know if they updated the case since this video, but the top panel does need to be taken off first, and then unscrew one of the screws on top before you can take it off 👍🏼
Thank you for such an in-depth look at this case and the experience of building in it. The way you explain everything and your clean camera shots are very much appreciated. Felt like I was watching a NatGeo documentary about how to build a PC. I mean that in the best possible way :) Great job!
All of your step by step guides and reviews are the best on the tube! You are detailed oriented and that is exactly what is needed with these types of videos. Please keep doing these guides and reviews.
just wanted to say, thanks to you. I was able to build my first pc over the weekend. This video + you and your wife building her PC really helped me. Thank you!
Man has an announcer-level quality and vocals. Your videos over the o11 rgb and XL have been invaluable to me. I thank you for your contribution to the community. Actively building a RGB model with this video up. Thank you again.
Dude.. thank you! First pc build and I got this case just bc I liked the look I didn't know how popular it was/is and didn't know anything about how easy it would be to build in. This video is already helping a ton and I appreciate it.
Thanks for such a detailed video. I spent about 6 hours on this video going backwards and forwards to see how you built things. Thanks for being so meticulous!
Your entire group of videos on the Lian Li Evo build have been really helpful - thank you for taking the time to make them, I know that's a LOT of hard work!
Wow solid build guide- love how you even covered where to plug in on the MOBO as this is regularly missed- and going through windows install was also a nice section much more detailed than most other channels
This was a great guide, then I find out my gigabyte gaming x ax z790 board does not match the f panel cable so yay that's fun... apparently I need to now buy an adapter for absolutely no logical reason because gigabyte like to be special.... 😢

Im not sure if it was the package that i got or yours came without a screw. But this one little thing could have costed me.
Came from your pcpartpicker build. Was blown away by the detail in this guide. Got a definite sub from me sir! Well done and thanks for the in depth demo and step by step explanations
Thank you! This was the most helpful and the best setup video I came across to build my pc with the same case. Thank you so much, I really appreciate the hard work you put into this.
Very good showcase for Lian Li EVO. Thanks CF. Finally a case where the PSU doesn't suck dust from underneath the case just to blow it out in the next second. I will mount PSU fan facing CPU backplate in this case to suck some hot air from back of the CPU(if ever I will get this case). However, Lian Li EVO is way above my budget for a case and I really hate cases with PSU down.
amazing walkthrough, sir. loved the step-by-step and alternate methods even though u werent doing them for the build. definitely put a lot of time, love and effort into it. keep it comin, sir. subscribed!
I start my first build tomorrow!!!! My AIO is finally coming after the place I originally ordered it from sent me the wrong one [that didnt fit] while being late by 5 days! Excited!
THANK SO MUCH THIS VIDEO HELPED WITH ME WITH ALL THE WIRE PLUG INS THE INSTRUCTIONS WERENT THE EASIEST TO READ I GOT THIS CASE & THIS IS MY FIRST BUILD, YES YOUR VIDEO EDITING SKILLS ARE TOP NOTCH
Idk if anyone wants to tknow this but in certain O11 dynamic cases the top needs to be removed in order to take the side panels off. they have screws. Do not and I repeat do not try to force the sides off. Cheers. Amazing vid none the less you have a sub from me.
Just built my first PC following this video for the most part aside from GPU/fan mounting and had a different AIO and Motherboard. Took me a long time but mostly from figuring out where to mount things and because of case differences that threw me off from your case to mine. Seems like the case has been updated since; either that or I have an older/different version of this case, but I had no front mount for fans at all and there were a few extra security screws. Thank you for the awesome video; the close ups, especially the cable shots helped a lot; I was very confident with plugging everything in because you made it so clear where everything went and where to place them. My only suggestion would be that it'd be nice if you included a small section for people that wanted to mount their GPU the conventional way. This was my first time mounting a 360M CPU and the short portion on adding the stabilizers was very confusing since I couldn't visualize everything together although I'm sure its covered in another video. Also, tips for people building their first PCs like me: 1) If you're stuck, read the user manuals 2) Don't save cable management for the end; it will haunt you unless your case is massive. Instead actively try to group cables together after plugging them in and positioning them with zip ties etc and tidying up will become significantly easier. 3) You can daisy chain most SATA-powered components; i.e. you can attach them to the same cable. Sounds stupid but this actually confused me haha 4) Some fans, like the Lian Li series used in this video have much less cables because they have built in daisy-chaining(reduces cables from 3 to 1) and you can re-use the one USB hub. I had to re-plan my fans a few times because only two USB 2.0 outlets on my motherboard and all the triple fans I got came with fan hubs that needed a USB hub on my mobo. Moving forwards, I think I will only be using Lian Li fans or similar to simplify and reduce cables
sir you are out here doing God's work gone are the days of youtubers half assing pc builds and expecting noobs like me to just know what they're talking about thanks so much
This video is going to be extremely helpful when I finally get to build mine. Still debating on fans since some posts I've read about the Lian Li UNI fans being junk.

22:11 so glad I see this as I thought my brand new z690 maximus hero board was bent near the cpu power connections. I was driving myself mad uninstalling and re installing etc. I can now get on with my build in peace!
I built my first PC back in 2020.. it’s a powerful PC but I made many mistakes and I’m going to take it apart and replace everything BUT the graphics card, memory, ram, motherboard. Everything else, selling and buying new equipment that’s BETTER. First to go? My case, it’s a Lian Li lancool mesh 2 and it’s amazing it’s just.. not big enough and I’d like to put a lot of fans in my pc to help with heat as ive noticed my GPU gets rather toasty and I like the looks of this many fans. Everything else is TBD, so thanks for this video!
I sure appreciate the coverage of the hard drive cage and its fan mounts. As much as we all love SSDs, 36 TB in one PC is the just too expensive in the SSD world, and I was worried about the drives overheating in that cage.
Thank you very much for such an in-depth review and step by step PC build guide. I was wondering if you're going to review Hyte Y60 case and perhaps do a step-by-step build guide with Asus high end motherboard and Intel 12gen CPU.
i want to make a pc using this case but it seems hard as i only made 1 computer before and possibly another when I sell my current one for a better one. But this seems like another level of hard. But it seems like a very awesome case so i think ill try the challenge.
Excellent build guide. Very detailed, which should be ideal for new builders, yet not done in the kind of over-simplified manner often seen in newbie guides which might have alienated seasoned builders mainly looking for the full case features.
@@erick_outkastz I just ended up using lots of zip ties and stuffing cables The way the case is it hides pretty well in the back panel. Just be careful with prongs bending if they are in a pressure area
