I also set up my baking stuff separately lol. I don’t bake as much but I feel like it’s a diff animal than “meal cooking.” I’m happy to report that I think I’ve FINALLY had a breakthrough with the entire kitchen/cooking/meal planning thing. I wouldn’t call it “planning” per se but it’s just “flowing” better lately. Planning for me is like math anxiety so I don’t try too hard on a “plan.” I really think I was overthinking everything and just “trying too hard.” So I let go and just got out of my head so much with it. Just got more into my intuition with it. I revisited my 2 cookbooks that I put together prob almost a year ago and made changes there also. I also wound up taking an entire “food inventory” and well it was just clicking better with trying to integrate what I have and what to cook and what is stored where. My go to is usually cheap frozen pizza or “homemade” pizza (embellished, of course) with an easy crust (either pre made or a super easy “quick crust”). Other times I just grab hummus and naan bread or do deli meat and cheese with crackers. I’m the queen of quick and easy tho. Ha ha. A toasted cheese or peanut butter will do at times also. Or a chicken wrap or Caesar chicken salad or chicken quesadilla Bcuz I often boil a whole chicken for the cats and just reserve a bit of breast for myself. I’m also very fond of Gouda snack cheese. Lol.
For a quick and simple meal, keep pita bread or English muffins, shredded cheese, and pizza sauce on hand for mini pizzas. If you have other toppings, go for it! Your kids can help make them as well.
My "easy meal" is red beans and rice with andouille sausage. I get the red beans and rice from the Zatarains brand. I just follow the box instructions and cook the sausage separate and then combine. Everyone in my house loves and its super easy.
I think I've always been an organized person. I don't need labels as I know where everything is. I love having like things together and cans and/or boxes turned to front so I know what it is. I have very little clothes hung up but I've always hung up things together...sleeveless followed by shirt sleeve then long sleeve. I'm all about easy meals and always keep certain ingredients on hand. Enchiladas, goulash, tortilla shells with black beans and cheese warmed up, some soup, mac/cheese, etc. Love your videos.
Love this! I look forward to your videos every week! You’ve helped me totally re frame my mind and yearn for LESS! You’ve shared your meal planning method before but would love to see a whole video dedicated to creating this process.
I thought that ould make baking easier funner all baking things at your reach. Thank you. I share a kitchen so i will put my things in a box for now and just bring it out when baking. When i get my own place i will set up my kitchen like this.
I like how you creatively revisit the basics of decluttering and organizing in different ways, it has really helped me. In a pinch, I make rice with scrambled eggs, seasonings and whatever fresh or frozen veggies we have on hand. Happy mid week.🌷
The kitchen is a tricky place for me because i have a family of 7 so i need multiples of some things like baking sheets or skillets to cook enough for all of us 🤔
Hi :) you are so sweet and smiley always :) it is So pleasant to watch your video full of useful advices :) I did a baking box last year and i feel it so more easy since and then i grouped all by category, a box for all the tea coffee in a same place, close to the tea cups.. :) it helps me so much in daily life since :) just working on organising finally paperworks these days.. as i still feel preference to work on paper quick ideas here and there, i tried digital notes but really keep preferring the paper and handwriting for some work notes first of all :) so as the house is felt clearer now, felt ready to face this organisation "challenge" these days :) your energy is a boost for keeping it up ;) thanks from France ;)
Tater tot casserole, hot dogs and chilli, stir fry, fry pan meat loaf with vegetables, taco salad are a few that I always keep on hand. They can come from food storage/freezer.
Love your videos!!! 💕 For me it's soooo helpful to have a weekly meal planning and only a weekly ingredience buying. I know what's on our schedule next week and so I know when I have time to cook or when I have to be prepared. Our most loved and easy-to-cook meals are Couscous with chicken and vegetables or Spaghetti. There is always a plan B in my fridge, too. Most of the time its's Pizza or selfcooked Lasagne. Best regards from Germany.
I second that the pantry is a high-impact organization project. Now if I could just get control of my refrigerator, so much harder when there are different items rotating through there....Great tips as usual.

I love toast with tomato slices with melted cheese - that is my beak fast but I also have it when I don’t feel like cooking!
If you put the baking ingredients in a clear basket in the cupboard, it’ll be even simpler!

I've always kept my baking ingredients together in the pantry, even now when I rarely bake at all.
