Wonderful review! I have a blue sandblast j bass I bought in 2015. It is my favorite aesthetic and sounds wonderful. It has a buzz when gain is up as well, but playing gets right past it. I ordered the red strat for 1400 at gc to complete the color spectrum. I’ll miss my Mexican strat, but this will be a doozy! The blue bass used is worth 1900 now.

I knew you’d slip pride and joy in there somewhere! I do the same thing when I play single coils..... Trying to sound like SRV is an unwritten law when playing a strat!
It's so hard to avoid... It's literally THE strat sound in my head that all strats need to sound like, or GTFO...

If you get an opportunity, id love to hear your opinion on the American Ultra series. I was considering getting the hss.
I have video's on my channel for both the SSS and HSS, American Ultra series.
The SSS is my absolute favorite guitar of all time. No joke. The HSS is great too, but I find the pickups to be too dark sounding. They're loaded with the "Hot" ultra noiseless pickups vs the vintage ultra noiseless pickups, found in the SSS models. I really love the vintage Ultra noiseless pickups!! I adore my Texas Tea Ultra. Highly recommended!

@@eas26 I like everything you just said! Just an FYI, the ultra neck has an offset bolt pattern. If your standard has the regular 4 bolt "square" pattern, you will need to drill a hole in the ultra neck.
