- The Witcher 4 A New Saga begins with a new witcher from the Lynx school which was found in 1273 by Joel Gaetan. The story will most likely feature the Origins or Nilfgaardian soldiers and The new witcher game will no longer feature Geralt of Rivia nor Ciri or any other character we've played as and seen in the previous the witcher game. Now in this upcoming witcher 4 project CD Projekt Red has assigned 400 developers to work on it and removing the devs that are done with Cyberpunk Phantom Liberty project and moving them onto the next witcher game production with both code name Sirius and Witcher Polaris as their biggest and most ambitious upcoming open-world game in 2024, 2025 and 2026.

Cyber punk was insanely good. No man sky was solid but it’s more of a simulation. Try NMS in vr, it’s great!
They eventually redeemed themselves with Cyberpunk 2077. It started as pile of garbabe and became a masterpiece. I just finished it. It was amazing.

Would be nice to have some new Characters but maybe have Geralt make an appearance in the game at some point. Maybe in a mentor role. The guy is a legend after all.

My Theory: The two alchemists in Witcher 2 who paid Geralt to drink their mutagen that was supposed to give him back his ability to procreate naturally succeeded... And after that beautiful romantic night in Brunwich with best girl Shani during Witcher 3's Hearts of Stone, there's a little Witcher brewing. And that.... is our player character for #4. And Ciri is their Vesemir.

Cyberpunk is great now, and worth replaying, also it has the most photo realistic graphics after the mods. Name any game that looks better and already came out.

@@Blakwoodz yeah probably it will be out on console on release but you are actually wrong here. I don't mean to argue but the Witcher 2 came out a year later to Xbox 360 (it didn't have a playstation version) and the first Witcher game never came out to any of the consoles
As long as it’s done right, I’m good with either choice of keeping Gerald or having a brand new character BUT there will have to be a lot of explanation about their Witcher school and depending on the time period they may even have to explain just about everything about it philosophy how they’re still around how the general public sees them what the perception from other Witcher schools is like and how they are perceived and turn. Especially if this is a supposedly new Witcher school that we’ve never heard of there’s going to be a massive need for a lot of explanation background lore even if they are choosing to go with the main character having amnesia again.
I truly hope this game doesn’t end up like cyberpunk. A lot of people still have mixed feelings about that game, especially with the bugs that make it damn near unplayable. The Witcher is what helped CD Project red become a legend. it would be a shame if another gaming company got our hopes up only to smash our expectations into the ground with disappointment again.

If they want to be smart, they will make it a character creator making your own witcher under a different school or players will have the ability to choose school.

I find it odd how everyone wants a new witcher but we keep seeing Geralt on everything. A new witcher should be like a add on to see how successful it is and not just start completely over with new characters.

Alot of people will hate on CP2077 but the game was good it just was a bit buggy in the beginning and missed on a few promises. If they wouldn't have hyped up their game so much the let down wouldn't have been near as bad. CP is a MUCH better game than any of the AC series going back to the Ezio story line or Black Flag. CDPR should get the benefit of the doubt when it comes to the Witcher series as they have yet to miss on that. Also learning from the their mistakes on the marketing for CP2077 I think The Witcher 4 will be one of the best games of the decade just like The Witcher 3 was.

Its the best RPG game ever made. Great story,s and fantasy beast and alot of choices that really can change the game alot!. Also some pretty fk up choices that you dont like if you make the wrong one and you dont want it. you can afcourse load before you make that choice but that is alot of hours back!.
I have over 2000+ hours in that game so, yes. It’s an amazing game. But like the first commenter said: it depends on your play style. Some people like it. Some people don’t.

Gonna disagree can't just up and move away from the Geralt, Ciri, Yennefer and Triss core characters. If you want a new witcher I could see like a create your own thing happen where it will carry into future games like Mass Effect masterfully did(dumbfounds me no one has really used this system as well as ME did).

Bud it seems that you don't understand the criticism, nobody says that the game is bad because of its concept, but because is not woth the quality-price tag, 11 years and 200 million for a game with such mid quality is not what people want, Yves Guillemont himself laughed at the face of consumers saying that this was an AAAA, when AC4 gives it a thousand spins in gameplay, in this case YOU are the one having personal opinion.
