- Featuring the Ohlone Indian culture, the Chitactac-Adams Heritage County Park offers a significant look into the Native American’s artifacts and life. Located in Gilroy along Uvas Creek in Santa Clara County, this heritage site was once a village occupied by the Amah Mutsun Ohlone. The park, encompassing 4.3 acres, has the ancient bedrock mortars and weathered sandstone in unusual shapes creating unique scenery. As valley oak and live oak flourish in this area, the Ohlone people relied much on them in the past to make utensils such as bowls and mortars, and to gather acorns as the predominant plant food source.

There is some misinformation being presented here, and I think the video would be improved if there were some participation from the Amah Mutsun people in sharing their history.
Thank you for saving me 6 minutes, I was here for the chance listen to someone from the Amah Mutsun tribal band
Absolutely agreed
Um... where is the indigenous voice in this?
Ohlone people still live there...
The irony here. Descendants of of Europeans talking about a culture their ancestors erased. Sad.
I don't see too many of them around...but I wish them well.👌🏽🫶🏽👍🏼💯
a magnificent production

Agroforestry is way more nuanced and even more advanced than agriculture when you consider the environmental harmonies that are being engineered by people.
I’d rather be under a Tule roof than a brick roof during an earthquake (something the colonizers experienced (but haven’t learned) to tragic effect too often).
Really disappointing there’s no Amah Mutsun and neighbor Ohlone voice - state parks is doing a better job now a days of course
Totally underwhelming.
