I just tried this recipe after spending ridiculous amounts of money at my local Indian restaurant for this dish. It was so delicious!!! Even better than the $16 takeaway I’d usually spend for less than this size portion. Went to my local Indian market to buy all the spices (very inexpensive) and used ghee instead of butter and fresh garlic and skinless chicken thighs. My husband was blown away by how amazing it tasted, so much better than the takeaway. I’m so glad i can make this at home now! Thanks so much!😊
Made this yesterday, and it's honestly the best ever! Was so shocked that I'd made this and it tasted just like an Indian takeaway.. absolutely banging 5starts defiantly recommend this recipe 10/10!!!👌
Well... If that was "A generous amount of butter" imagine the size of "A small amount"... Lol... he would just brush the pan with one of the corner tip of the butter/margarine
BhavAndSimVlogs Tip for you... Never add spices before cooking tomato puree..Spices won't allow puree to cook well...Next time add some bell peppers too.
I made this recipe about a year ago. Absolutely amazing!! I love it so much! I'm watching it right now because I'm very hungry and can't have any right now. And I'm not about to pay $16 at a restaurant when I can make 3 times the amount for cheaper and it will taste better. Yes, this tastes better than at the restaurant. But I'm going to write this down for my dinner menu and I'll probably have it on Tuesday. I can't wait 🤤🤤🤤
yes you are so right those restaurants over charge you for small portions with tax and sime times it dont be all that.Ive made butter chicken all the time but ima try to make tikka masala for my catering business I dont eat from no ones restaurant
My favorite restaurant dish three times a week, when I lived in the U.S. I now live in Costa Rica, and can make it at home. Thanks for your recipe. Pure Vida.
Tried this in an Indian restaurant here in Bulgaria and really liked the taste. I was looking for a recipe and came across this vlog. So I just made it at home and it is awesome, this seasoning is just perfect and the chicken marinated well is so juicy ^_^ You can even make only the chicken without the sauce and it is still good! Thank you very much!
Making this tonight! Chicken is marinating right now. I'm soooooo excited. Just smelling the seasonings while putting then with the chicken... Delicious smelling!
It.... Was.... Amazing!!! My kids loved it too. I made and served it over basmati rice and made some roti to have on the side as well. I'm not sure what else I could've made to go with it. That's my next thing to learn... Indian side dishes.
there is a tip........... add garam masala later and also add some lemon or lemon zest in it............. and please avoid the using of tin tamoto pure........ tahe some fresh tmtoes grid it..... and also add some cloves, elachi and crimon stick...... it smells awesome
Truth Hurtz Use 2 tsp of all the spices and 2 tbsp of fresh garlic and ginger. If you can’t get kashmiri, use paprika and cayenne pepper. Again, 2 tsp of each.
I noticed it ended up being Butter Chicken as well, but what would make it more like Tikka Masala? Is the only difference that there's more tomatoes in Chicken Tikka Masala?
@@LittleMopeHead I noticed it ended up being butter Chicken as well, but what would make it more like Tikka Masala? Is the only difference that there's more tomatoes in Chicken Tikka Masala?
Very cute and wonderful.. wish u both many happiness.. my husband from Punjab and am Vietnamese do differently will be making this tomorrow for husband thank u for ur recipe
khushboo kumari chicken tikka masala is almost similar to Butter chicken. The only difference between them is that we don't add onions to Butter Chicken and Chicken Tikka Masala is prepared by adding onions
Never thought of using fresh ginger. Maybe I shall start. One question, if if you buy some, & use it. How long does it last, also how would you store it. Thanks for the great Indian food
Short time's ago.ate the super delicious curry's chickens. With plain rice's. Hope, this foods of dish's, everyone can trys .eating with families. Friends.
I buy TIKKA MASALA from a membership store, I like it but it is no better than HOME COOKED for better control of the ingredients minus the CUMIN or maybe just a bit, thanks for sharing the recipe...😋😋😋🇱🇷🇵🇭
I made a curry recipe with garam masala & similar spices (plus sumac) last night & it was horrible. I’m going to try this one & hope I get a better taste with the tomato puree & cream 🤞🤞🤞
Omfg I panicked when I couldn’t find this video, cause I wanted to make this tonight. I’ve been making this recipe (with a few adjustments) three times but I haven’t memorized it. Don’t ever do me like that RUclips!
There was a wonderful Indian dish that I used to love to eat constantly at an Indian restaurant by my house it really has spinach in it and I believe chicken thighs I know it was the dark meat of chicken would you know that recipe what it would be
I just got done making it. I had to make some adjustments cause I had 1 1/2 lbs of diced chicken breast. It tastes delicious. I made it a bit soupy cause I made some rice to put under the Chicken Tikka Masala. That's how we like it. (I use to buy the prepared Tikka Masala Sauce at Aldi's, but your recipe is much better) Thank you.
Great recipe and THANK YOU for using good quality fats to cook with like olive oil and butter. So many videos use cheap unhealthy oils like canola and other pro-inflammatory vegetable oils. Great video :)
You guys are so cute. I cannot wait to try making this. I noticed that you used margarine instead of butter, but I'm assuming that I can use butter. Thanks!
I worked at the best restaurant in Ogden Utah, Bombay Grill! And they made tikka masala with milk cashews n carrots, along with the spices onion n such! I really wish I payed more attention, but I've never seen anyone mix in carrots in the sauce! We would blend them smooth in the post sauce, an it was so fucking bomb! Beat I've ever had! My fave food! Sadly the dude just disappeared around the pandemic, n although I could never understand him lol, he was a good dude. I fixed his ac unit, painted his car, an picked his wife to from college in slc every once in a while in his car lol. It was a crazy job, but was all I could find around 09 10, despite my expansive auto m construction electrical experience. Ibmover from Wyoming because I got in to much trouble over there. Anyways. Indian food is my favorite! Even though I was raised on mexican food and trailer park white boy food lol
if you look at the video--he doesn't measure anything, just uses a regular spoon. Exact measurements re not needed. Just use a regular spoon, and you'll be good. FRESH spices are needed. No old cupboard stuff. Worth buying new, fresh dried spices, and use freshly grated ginger and garlic.
It would be a lot easier to just buy it from an Indian store around you. Ask for Garam masala. You can look up the constituent ingredients on google and procure them individually if you can't find it, but you'll have a better chance of finding the Garam masala instead of all the individual 8 spices.
Now that was a awesome demonstration on a good curry and I can’t wait to cook this with my granddaughter tomorrow, thank you and you worked together wonderful xxxxx

"A generous amount of butter" - uses the smallest cube of butter ever.
😂😂😂😂
@Raelynn Hamilton Did he??! Omg unacceptable.
"i used chicken breast rather than chicken thighs, because healthy. Proceeds to say "use a generous amount of salt."
True 😂😂😂

I’ve probably made this ten times now. It does not disappoint!
I made this last night and it came out PERFECT. Thank you .
Looks easy peasy ... lots of Indian Chefs make it using super complex ingredients. Will try using this method...
Looks awesome! Have you tried adding the spices to the onions before the tomato puree? Might give them a chance to release their flavors...?
Good cooking ,parents must be proud of your culinary skills
Thank you for sharing your recipe. I love eating foods from around the world. I think it's so cool how food connect us.

Washing chicken in water DOES NOT prevent from contaminating. You need to sanitize your entire kitchen and all the items you touched. ..

Awesome recipe! Making it tonight! Consider using real butter, it is much healthier and tastier. Margarine causes heart disease.
