You know, that's absolutely true. As a poor kid growing up, it really was "special" to get to go to McDonalds, and get a Happy Meal, because you were not only getting "good" food (kids love fast food, simple facts). But you knew you were getting SOME kind of free toy. I remember getting Muppet Babies, Fraggle Rock, Mario 3 toys, and more. Hell, one of my biggest joys as a LITTLE kid, was getting all three (though I almost didn't) Alvin & The Chipmunks dolls from a Burger King tie-in promotion with the Chipmunk Adventure movie. I got the first two, and then I clearly remember somehow feeling like it was over and I had missed out. But by some stroke of luck, we went in one day, and they had the Chipmunk I had been missing. I was thrilled. Happy Meal/Fast Food toys were cheap crap, usually. But when you're growing up poor and don't GET toys super often, getting little toys with a burger, or out of one of those dumb "egg machines" or whatever? Meant the world.
Crazy that you have provided entertainment like this for over a decade! Thank you for all the good times, Billy and the Chaser crew! Melvor is alright, I guess...
Had the Six Million Dollar Man and the Bigfoot that was his enemy on the show. Had all kinds of BattleStarGalatica toys, but oh man you hit me in the nostalgia feelings with that StarBird space ship, I loved it and played with it all the time. Damn this mini episode has been the most memory filled episode for me!! Makes me feel good that I got to enjoy all those classic toys as a child when they were out , but brings a tear to my eye wishing I had been able to save them all. I do have a lot of my old GIJoe figures and vehicles and many of my original Star Wars but sadly not nearly all of them. Most were lost while I was in the Marines and my parents moved homes and they got left before stolen and some were actually thrown away by my stepfather, very very sad about that, and so many unbelievable board games that I did have well kept were destroyed when a water heater burst and ruined them and a ton of classic comic books 😢
My best friend across the street has that Star Trek bridge set toy with a few of the figures. Was usually the first thing I grabbed when I was at his house.
I’ve just finished every season and episode of game and toy chasers over the past couple of weeks. It has been my top tier comfort show. I am bummed……hmmm guess I’ll have to watch them over again from the beginning…love y’all. Your vids make me feel good. Who doesn’t like feeling good?
2001 is god awful.....Its one of those movies that I got tired of hearing people try and talk about it being so amazing, I could not wait for it to end...I read the entirety of The Divine Comedy and understood it for a book report in 2nd grade. Its the movie that made me stop taking people I know seriously when they told me something was amazing...Kinda like the people who think Scarface is amazing.
Billy, I feel the same about the space toys from the 60s & 70s. It may be because most space toys we got into in the 80s was generally based on a TV series or movie and most of the stuff from the 60s and 70s was it's own thing.
Ahh man that star trek bridge set was one of my fav toys. Used to play with both star trek and Steve Austin and bigfoot figs on the bridge. Yeah i must be the same age as Scott, i was born in '68. Great Episode!!! Han Solo Style! LOVE GC!
Some awesome information on those demolition neca gremlins pack. My fiancee collects them and I just told her the background behind that particular set. Pretty cool episode !
So happy to know I'm not the only one that keeps the McDonald's Happy Meal boxes! Never saw anyone selling them. I just liked them just like Billy said they made you happy!
Star Trek: The Motion Picture is better than people give it credit for but you do have to be in the mood for it. Ones like Wrath of Khan and that whole trilogy and 6 are a lot easier to sit down and enjoy any time.
You mean Star Trek The Motionless Picture.. Its amazing that the motionless picture didn't kill the movie franchise right then and there....Motionless Picture being garbo is the reason why there were no toys for Wrath of Khan, nobody wanted to take the risk after the first film.
11:15 This is a pretty modest statement about scalpers. Toy scalpers / any scalpers aren't marking items up by $10 as the fees for any online selling platform would eat profits. Most scalpers start at double what they paid. Heck, I don't even think drop-shippers could make profit at a $10 markup. Maybe if they are drop-shipping thousands of items, but at that point, it's a pretty complex setup.
Growing up I had a lot of the OG Star Trek series toys, and my favorite was that USS Enterprise play set, I had Capt.Kirk, Spock, Scotty, Aura, Two different Klingons, oh yeah I had Bones as well, and I would play with those and all my DC & Marvel Superheroes & Villians like a giant galactic war was happening lol sadly I was very rough with em all and I no longer have any of it to fix up and display. I also had a really cool Star Trek phaser that shot little plastic discs with holes in them that made a cool sound as they whizzed across the room
Hey Billy, you & Melvor need too do a showcase episode that shows all your toy collections with any updates and additions. Screw Jay lol but you could show off his stuff too as well as DaDongO
My Dad took me to the local cinema to watch Star Trek The Motion picture (same cinema my Dad took me to see Jaws, Star Wars A New Hope, The Black Hole and ET) I loved it, still do think its a really good premise, and it's defo 70's as f#ck...good stuff..
Screen Used by Wonderful Mark Hamill. I know why your smiling. Mark probably freaked out with that mistake. But I totally get why your smiling. Hehe. That might even make thing even cooler now. (Nes Manga)
I loved this, Billy (even though to be honest I'm more of a 90's kid due to being born in 1988 north Europe). Thank you for all your hard work. Thanks for all the laughs, thanks for everything! Keep on bein' a chode, dude.
Longer episodes to come! Smash that like button!
more now please love from uk
Hell yeah
Can’t wait…long live the toy chasers!!!!
Smashed !!
This episode was amazing, I can’t wait for more!!! Thanks Billy, you have made my day a little better!!

The smile on his face saying Mark Hamill played with his Gozilla and accidentally scratched it was heart warming.
A lot of those old toys brings back memories of my dad. Thanks for this!
You bet!
i can always tell when billy edits an episode the flow of it is just so perfect
That and they get done
Huh, I thought it was all Billy doing the editing. Who else does it?

Thanks for the episode! Good stuff. On a side note the scratch on that Godzilla is definitely worth it for the story it tells. Love stuff like that.
Good point!

Loving the “wish I had the room” I wasn’t expecting this twist.
You have more restraint than me.
Love seeing Scott in the video. Such a cool dude.
Yoo
Still waiting on the game chasers movie dvd release.
Billy wearing Grunt Style keeps me coming back.
Star Trek The Motion Picture is a great movie! It’s more a reaction to 2001 than Star Wars and people can’t seem to accept that nowadays
