    Her performance with the weapons reminds me of Yoko Ono’s where the audience was cutting fabric off of her piece by piece.

      Yes! That came to mind too! Actually I personally prefer Ono's performance because it evokes a very similar sentiment in me and proves very much the same point, but the artist (arguably) didn't put herself in such an extreme position as Abramovic did. I understand vulnerability is key in both pieces though, but still I don't think taking it that far was really needed

    In re: the tangle with Ulay, perhaps their hair was divided into sections and cantilevered together, then twisted and moussed?
