Good afternoon, Jimmy. That's a neat setup. You're not guaranteed that the expensive battery would last any better than the two cheaper ones. My only concern would be the location of the diesel fuel for the heater, in relation to the battery's. 👍

Hiya Lee, Nice to hear from you again as always, Yes I'm pleased with it and can relax a bit more now without having to worry about running the leisure batteries down too much, not that it ever happened, but I'll be able to watch telly a bit more now haha.
I hear what your saying about the fuel but I think It'll be ok as diesel doesn't ignite as easily as petrol , and to be honest I don't use the heater that much ... fingers crossed haha ...
Thanks for watching, hope you'll keep watching to, I'm off traveling very soon so keep your eyes peeled haha.
      Cheers ... Jimmy ...

I've been on a couple of trips now, since fitting the new batteries ( one of the trips was for almost a month & all "off grid" ), wow, what a game changer they are, My voltage in the morning ( after watching DVD's & having some light on and the fridge going 24/7 ) has never been lower than 12.8v ... fantastic.
Thanks for watching my video and taking time out to comment, I appreciate it, I hope you'll stick around now and become a regular to the channel.

Hiya Nancy, great to hear from you again as always !
Thanks for the great comment, I'm almost ready for my next trip, I'm a little bit behind schedule with my van prep and my new next door neighbour ( of less than a week ) has kindly put a skip in front of my workshop back doors so I can't get the van out, which hasn't helped haha.
If there's anything I can do, you know where I am for any advise or help you may need ...
Thanks for watching, taking time out to comment, and for being a loyal subscriber , it's much appreciated. I hope it continues .

Hi Jimmy great vid very informative. You must be getting ready for your travels again soon ? Staying away longer that’s why the need for more power.
We all need an extra inch ! Made me laugh but that’s just my childish mind 😂

hiya John, nice to hear from you again as always, thanks for your great comments ! Yes , maybe staying away longer or further into the winter ... we'll see haha. In fact I should be way very soon, my new next door neighbour ( of less than a week ) has very kindly put a skip outside my back door so I can't get my van out ! or I'd be getting it ready today,
Yes , John, you know how us males exaggerate how long an inch is haha ... Anyway, thanks for watching, it's much appreciated, and I hope you'll keep watching .
      Cheers ... Jimmy ...
P.S. How's your next cruise coming along ?

Lithium is more expensive as you say, but to match the usable output of your two 120ah batteries, a 100ah lithium battery would just about do it, and they can be had at around £240 (eco-worthy). Im guessing your two 120ah came not to far off that figure.

      Hiya "@lincolndave1966able" , how you doing ?
Thanks for the great comment. I'm not sure about your calculations ! my two agm batteries can be discharged up to 70% of there capacity ( not that I would do that or recommend anyone else to either ) but that's 168ah of potential usable capacity compared with the 100ah of your hypothetical equation !
Anyway, everyone has a choice, so you pay your money and takes you choice !!!
Thanks again for watching my video and taking the time to comment, It's much appreciated.
      Cheers ... Jimmy ...

@@jamesstringer8172 as you say Jimmy, everyone has a choice and I am certainly not criticising yours. My calculations were based on the theory of you not draining your leisure batteries below 50%, which would provide you 120ah from your 2 x 120ah batteries. I then said you would "almost" near that with a 100ah LiPo4 battery. Horses for courses though. Keep up the videos, I enjoy them.
