I love my a73 but yeah it was a bummer not having a headphone jack since I always love to use wired headphones rather than the bluetooth ones.
I have A73. I also bought a USB C to 3 mm jack converter from Samsung. I paid 8 USD.

@@travelgo..4503 if you expect GOOd camera performance, either go for S series phones, other brands with Carl Zeiss lense or IPhone. For me, I don't find it that much great or that much bad.
Why not bluetooth headphones? Cables are not worthy. Why insisting on wires? This is not a downside.

73 hours saw what you did there. Came close - went far as contacting sellers for it and my final choice. Once I placed the case in my pocket, too large hence final choice - sibling A53, since February 2023.

Losing the jack in the higher end A series phone is a really big bummer for me.
I'm really happy with my A52s, it really has been a wonderful affordable device ❤️.
I have the previous A72 with a 3.5mm jack. If this is the last one with the 3.5mm, then it may well be my last Samsung.
Hey Shane can you do a camera test between the Samsung Galaxy A52s, the Samsung Galaxy A53 and the Samsung Galaxy A73 because I just bought the Samsung Galaxy A53 5G I think that it has a great camera on it.

Just make sure to check the bands it has and the bands available where you are. It works for me the US so it should work most places
I had to choose between S21 FE and A73 and I went with A73 because lack of SD slot was a deal breaker for me

Literally what happened to me! I spent hours at the store deciding the two phones and decided to choose A73. It has more benefits than S21 FE and much cheaper

same here i wanted the S line but no way I can live without an SD card. with the pix and video sizes (as well as all the apps that eat memory like FB, IG, etc) so big now the internal storage is not enough. its sad Samsung is going the way of apple and removing the SD card slot and esp on their high end line! doesnt make sense
I faced the same dilemma,too. Now I'm getting A73 5g because of the SD slot, battery life, the water proof and the alibility to deal with the heat better. the heat on S series is the deal breaker. It's a new trend that we are forced to accept the heat if we want to go for the high ends, which is so ridiculous.

I paid basically $700 for my a73 in Australia recently I went from a52 to a53 5g now have the a73 5g I was flagship only but the a series are great
I'm also considering downgrading from Note/S series to A series.
At this point in my life, I do not need expensive phones.
I was thinking of getting A73 until I found out that the photo quality is more to colder colour as compared with A53 which is warmer color. I would say the warmer color is more welcoming to most average people. Straight from phone to social media without extra editing needed.

since you took a trip, im assuming phone was inside car, facing the sun. which raises brightness so it can be readable in sunlight.

Agreed, as a higher end A series phone I think it should have a beefier camera setup compared to the rest of the A series phones. Now it just has a few more megapixels across all the cameras pretty much
Where is this A73 series available in the USA? I cant find it anywhere (Unlocked Version)
With regard to no 3X zoom, that was a commercial decision. When including it they had badly damaged sales of their Galaxy S line, in fact they lost around 47% sales in two years and clearly from a pure business perspective Samsung was clueless. They of course put in 3X zoom to gain ground in the mid range -v- rivals, but the unforeseen was that they ended up worse off due to consumers migrating en masse from the Galaxy S to Galaxy A. They have corrected this poor decision by killing the 3X zoom. Actions and reactions, Samsung are known to not see the bigger picture as others do. I mean it is pretty basic ideology, if you sell a phone at $400 with 90% of the features of phones selling at $1200 you are going to compete with your own brand which is borderline crazy!
At $500 for this phone I think even a 2x optical zoom would have been acceptable. If you want 3x optical and especially 10x optical then sure that can be reserved for Samsung's flagship phones.

I had a question, would you suggest i stick to the samsung flagships or should I have a look at companies like xiaomi or one plus?
I would like to say, Samsung’s midrange phones like the A series are a really good deal right now. Samsung still win in terms of screen. They tend to get brighter under the sun unlike xiaomi and oneplus. But xiaomi and oneplus are more affordable though. But samsung’s screen is better.
I don't know if oneplus has improved but my brother and mom bought one of the budget models last year and both of them have had issues with receiving calls, calling and receiving pictures. Those bugs are still not fully fixed and they have tried switching sim-cards to new ones but it hasn't helped.

The vibration won’t be like s22 series
It will always have zzzzz pattern not like the flagships which have a haptic feel

I guess the A52s sold really well last year, since this is a very similar phone with basically the same specs with minor improvements...not complaining though, since the A52s was great

I bought the phone yesterday. An upgrade from my A71. And I'm honestly amazed by the leap in quality between the two phones. Worth every penny.
I get 8GB Ram, 256 GB internal memory, 120 hz refresh rate, stunning displays, the dual speakers are just awesome. These are flagship features so I'll take them.
It's honestly a good phone. And worth trying out for anyone who can't afford the flagships.

@@hama_s Why would you watch 2160p on a phone with a 1080p screen? This is not a problem, your internet just isnt fast enough, and also useless going above 1080p, 1440p should be the max

most of the a series phones usually do not have a built-in FM chip in fact most Galaxy don't they usually come pre-installed with Spotify which usually ends up being used more than a FM chip only company I could think that has a FM chip would be Motorola but that's right off the top of my head because I've had two Motorola's in the past
No charger and no headphones. The a72 comes with both and is a great phone and just as fast. You need to spend 200 dollars more for a charger and wireless headphones. Maybe in the usa it makes sense. But in Asia there is no 5g yet. So the a72 is a better choice.

The reason the A53 weighed more is because the processor was still lagging on your scale 😂. A73 looks solid though.
The a73 is similarly priced to the s21 fe. Which one should I go for? Midrange with flagship camera or high end with flagship processor?

I’ve been using iPhone all this time and for a while now, I’m feeling like switching to Android but the better the phone is, the more expensive it gets and I can’t afford those. I’ve been thinking of either buying A53 or A73 for the starter of my Android journey and I can barely afford those models with the buyback stuff that Samsung provides as a student 😅 Should I go for the 53 or the 73? Currently I have iPhone 11, if it helps. Because I’ll switch from iPhone, the thing that I care about the most is speed and multitasking, then the battery, then the camera; the rest… I don’t really care about. What’d you suggest? A53 or A73?

Yes, that is likely true as Samsung has reduced production by half per month due to poor sales. They have also announced to shareholders that expected sales are being lowered by around 10%. There are several reasons, from the world economy slowdown to competition fighting Samsung at their own game, to generic Samsung devices just not that interesting away from the fan base. They have a good loyal following so the sales are moving towards equilibrium.
Wouldnt surprise me since there are so many A series phone in general lol. Think about how many A series phones they release every single year
