@@mcrsmash8319 Major was doing really good with his offstage disadvantage from the jump, if Scend isn't used to Ganon recovering I can see it being difficult to get a grasp on quickly, especially for a best of 3.
so crazy seeing two top players go at it cause it all looks choreographed on how they fight, the split second dodge reaction times into countering that just back and forth knowing exactly what to do, even in the first match major had him read and its not like scend was playing bad or anything hes just losing those split second decisions. Im diamond in brawlhalla, another fighting game like smash and even at that high of elo I still run into people who play awful and have really bad timing / spacing but watching pro smash players go at it seems like art lmao

I came to see the 2-0… and I got it… just not the way I expected.
The best part of playing Gannon is that he sucks in a competitive standpoint, so he is amazing, because nobody thinks he will do well, and then he stomps, and it is hilarious
I think it was a mistake to keep using PK Thunder for the edge guards, it sometimes resulted in Major getting back to stage more easily
As much as I love major, I kinda feel bad for scend cause the commentators were not talking about anything hype when he kills, only when major kills with Ganon. Scend kills with one move and their like “oh ok I guess he got that fair fair”, but when major takes it right back “HOLY F****** S*** HE IS CRAZY”. No hate just saying

Not to take anything away from Major’s win,
but is it just me who thought it felt off that Scend didn’t try to play more campy in neutral by staying away from Ganon’s burst range?
Ness gets nothing out of camping and Major is acutely aware of that. Rewatch this set and pay attention to Major's spacing in this set. It's immaculate and thoroughly demonstrates Ness' inability to chase down opponents spacing him out in mid range.
I'm with you! I noticed Scend started game 2 really strong, clearly adapting from the previous match and playing much more defensively. But then after he takes the first stock he starts going in again, which Major punishes. I think he was tilted.
The character tier list means nothing, the player behind the character means. Everything.
Have these same two players play every month for a year I can guarantee the matches would stop looking Ike this pretty quick

Ok so i dont really care that much but why have the pronouns added next to the tags of the players when the commentators just say they the whole time? It doesnt make sense to me honestly, and if people get mad about getting called the wrong pronouns why would you want to be called they them when you go by he him like major or something? Just something i was questioning, i know this is a thing that commentators do a lot

Was scend just playing really bad or was Major on demon time?
The answer is both, Scend should’ve edgegaurded with fair rather than Up-B and that allowed Major to live a lot longer. However, Major put himself in the position to win and capitalized off of Scends swinging in neutral.
Seemed like he was unfamiliar with the matchup? He kept picking weird options. Maybe he was goofing around at first then started to panick when he was getting bodied.
