Sound amazing to me, we do not have those kind of improvement kit in Canada, I guest with our winters it would be difficult to have efficient enough upgrade kit. now a days almost all our new windows are PVC based. Personally I bought 3 glass thick widows with argon low types!

Great idea let's put sponges against the wood in the rough opening of the walls so that if moisture gets in there it can hold the moisture directly against the wood for a long time and the sponge can turn into 100% mold!
I've had these in my house (Oregon) for 30+ years. Never any moisture or mold. (Yes, I've taken some off and back on.) Proper installation , as shown, and it's all good.
I like this style of new replacement window. See too many older houses with replacement windows that have wide frames making your new windows look awkwardly smaller compared to originals. This style seems to minimize that effect.
Ward Cleaver needs to take the station wagon down to the local hardware store to buy some paint, grass seed, and other items, so he, Wally, and Beaver can do some much needed repairs.

Why are they showing older episodes? Not that there's anything wrong with that. But they have not showed any episodes from the last 2 seasons on RUclips.
in 2019 a different broadcast took over This Old House (also warner brothers has contract.. usually there is a law making a delay from tv and other distributions, it may be contract reasons or ftc reasons

All TV shows are available the next day, or the next week on their site after it first airs. So there's no law that says you can't post shows on other site. TOH and ATOH are already available on PBS and their website.

Jeld-Wen does. I should know. I replaced 25 windows with these units back in 2008.

John Marquardt run two beads of caulk parallel with the jambs. You won't need a sponge. Or if you prefer, fabricate your own sponges.
