The idea is it's supposed to be representative of a map. What's on screen isn't literal. One of the more interesting examples of this is in Halo 3 there are alot of random holograms of Mars. It has no meaning it's just there to have a planet be shown in general.
Fun fact the real reason why Geonosians are the creators of the B-1s is a nod to the fact Gunray and the rest of the trade federations were pitched with their design. Lucas changed his mind, thus they stored the concept away until Ep2 enter production and they just reused the design into what became the geonosians.
. The arena as Hero assault in the classic Battlefront or Heroes vs Villains in Dice’s BF2 would have been fantastic and it’s honestly weird they didn’t try to go for it
Now I wish they had put the techno union ships in front of the Spire instead of behind it. Would’ve completely changed the flow of the battle when fighting as the Clones. Plus it would’ve made more since to destroy these command posts and literally force the CIS to fall back to spire as their last base.
We all have to admit! OG star wars was everything and th capabilities to fly a LAAT anywhere and pick up and drop off clones is incredible. Imagine how intense the newer star wars would've been!?
@@YaquiApache freaking exactly!!!! We need a BATTLEFIELD style star wars game!!! When it comes to Jedi or sith you either build experience through battle and strategy or you gain new moves every time you fight. Like at first you have no force push . Just a basic swing like battlefront 2015 amd then adamce more to cards that help you defend longer Vader style and then if you are defeated people who beat you can be the hero or must pick up the dropped lightsaber. Summoning tanks and walkers would be at the command centers. Basically if the command centers are taken the game is over.
I have a hypothesis about Coruscant in Renegade Squadron on the PSP. Probably can be proven or disproven by asking the devs on the social media who were working on the game at the time. I think that the Jedi Temple map on Coruscant was supposed to be in the game and probably as one of the Capital worlds for the Clone Wars era Galactic Conquest. Which I also think that Clone Wars era Galactic Conquest was supposed to happen; In the game the Galactic Conquest is Rebellion era only. I have a number of reasons to suspect that: 1) The Space Coruscant map exists without a land map. Technically Alderaan and Kessel too but at least they make more sense. 2) The Space Coruscant map is named SPACE_CORUSCANT_CLONE in the ENVS folder. The other planet with such designation is SPACE_KASHYYYK_CLONE and SPACE_KASHYYYK_CIVIL which have Space for both eras. Every other space map is either Rebellion era or SPACE_MYGEETO for the Clone Wars era and none of them have the _CLONE or _CIVIL suffix. Probably Coruscant was meant to be used in both eras. 3) In the Story Mode's cutscenes Tionne Solusar is in the Jedi Academy's Library on Coruscant. 4) Mygeeto have both Space and Ground maps but is not used as a Capital World in the Galactic Conquest which makes me believe it was intended for a Clone Wars era GC. Coruscant would make a logical sense for Clone Wars capital world as well. I think the layout of the map would've been simplified, just like Mygeeto, Mustafar and others. Probably the central area (with the entrance, the big hallway and the Jedi Council Chambers) and the Library side would've been kept, while the other side with the gardens and the map of the Galaxy would've been removed. Even in the base game it was a somewhat clunky and hard to navigate with how tight everything is and how floaty the movement was, especially with a running Jedi. So, if possible, ask the game devs who worked at the time, especially the game designers, directors and producers. I'm sure they can answer many questions and share of why the game was made and how the game evolved from elevator pitch to release. Maybe we can even get lucky and they can share a Game Design Document for the Star Wars games they've worked on. I'm sure it will be a treasure trove of new information, story changes, how the Galactic Conquest should've looked like and cut content and shine a light of what-could-have-been. I also wonder if Rebellion when was developing the game (or planning to) they knew about Free Radical's Battlefront 3 and it's content. The planet selection for Renegade Squadron makes me think they knew. And also whether they used some of Pandemic's Frontlines ideas, since some planets overlap (Alderaan, Kessel, Korriban).
2:00 b1 battle droids where designed for the phantom menace, an early geanotion design was made for the trade Union however it was rejected. In attack of the clones they needed a design for the geanotions so they went back and modified the trade union design from earlier and brought in those locust and grasshopper inspirations. The story you give about B1's being based off the geanotions, who where based off bugs is completely fabricated as geanotions didn't exist and weren't thought of in the phantom menace. Bloods waffling.
I always loved Geonosis. Especially the spire map in the first battlefront. Its such a cool map. The republic gets walkers and gunships. The CIS get starships, spider droids, and halfire droids. And they can just duke it out. The republic has the objective of taking out the techno union ships, the CIS just needs to stop the advance. Such a fun map i wish they brought it back. Actually it would be pretty fun to play in Halo with forge mode. I wish i could build it my self but im talented for forge and dont have the time
Every single piece of Star Wars media ever: "A Long Time Ago, In A Galaxy Far Far Away..." Star Wars theorists: THIS EASTER EGG MEANS THAT THIS PLANET IS ACTUALLY EARTH IN THE FUTURE!!!
I’m pretty sure the control screen easter egg in the new battlefront 2 is a call back to the first two battlefronts. That same satellite photograph was used for Naboo’s planet texture in the original two games.
Really like these videos. Just a minor thing. I thought the B1 Battle droids were made to resemble Nemoidians after they die (apparently their skulls slump into a B1 battle droid shape).
You can use the LAAT's and AT-TE's as actual troop carrier like they're supposed to be in the original battlefront. You can even use the AT-TE's rear turrets in the original, unlike the reboot...
Technically, there was another Geonosis space map. In Battlefront 2015, the main mode for the death star dlc took place in and around the death star. However, it was orbiting a specific planet, Geonosis. So, technically, Geonosis had a second space map.
Cover Geonsis battles on Star Wars Rogue Squadron 3 for Game Cube. You can play it easily on emulator, or if you really must, play it on an older model, GameCube backwards compatible, Wii for a reasonable price and experience. Or Star Wars Clone Wars for the same console. Or Star Wars Jedi Starfighter. Would make a nice compilation to fill in the gap where they didn't make any space battles for it. I mean the one in Galactic Conquest doesn't even have the asteroid belt. Meanwhile the one in Rouge Squadron is downright beautiful.
It has been hinted at that Geonosis used to be much more green a long time ago Of course, the only species to survive and thrive a planet being burned completely arid would be termites
The geonosis being earth theory doesnt really hold up due to the fact that in older legends alderaan was the human home planet while in newer legends (and canon) its coruscant. However this contradiction can easily be explained by rakatan deportation.
Although the full GA version is the better map, I really like all the new and unique details that the Supremacy version of the Geo map added that we haven't seen from previous bf games

That would be such a great idea, shame we never got an arena map in any bf
