I LOVE how this luggage folds down when not in use. I don't have a lot of storage and that feature is really wonderful. My random act of kindness happened yesterday, on a plane. The man sitting next to me shared that he was flying to see his sister who had had brain surgery the day before and hadn't woken up. He was going to go spend a month by her side in the hospital. I asked if I could pray for his sister and so I did, right there!
I'll be sure to say a little prayer for that family as well!

I'm with you, it is much more fun to pack for warm weather. I love the first aid kit! For my act of kindness, I am buying a kit for our giving tree at church for new parents. I think my favorite part of the UnderSeat Pro is how much thought went into the design. I looks like it can fit almost as much as a regular carry-on.
An unbelievable amount of thought has went into their bags and still does! We regularly communicate about how to make improvements and what people are liking/disliking.

This video was inspiring! I just went out of town to a cold climate for a week and was proud of myself for getting it all in a carry on. Someday I'll get down to a personal bag! I try to do small acts every day, such as scraping the frost off my child's car or giving compliments to random strangers.
It's taken me years of practice haha!

I often fly to Canada and always have to check a bag due to all the winter clothes and shoes. You did a great job fitting so much in a small space. As for acts of kindness, I always make sure I give my boys’ outgrown clothes to an actual needy family and not to a for profit organization. Plus, I buy meals for the homeless.

Random acts of kindness are something I try to do every day. Whether it's talking to someone in need or helping my friends with their electronics of whatever they may need. Just helped a friend who had flooding at her store .
I am going on a 5 day trip in January and have been watching videos on packing in a personal bag due to flying Frontier. You have had the best video so far in showing how I can get in what I want to take. Thank you so much!! I cannot tell you how many I have watched. You showed just how to fold and fit. It was excellent. You go at an easy pace that is understandable. I am pumped now to pack early and see how I do!! Thank you again!!

Courtney, loved your video and that under seat bag. I’m still an over packer, but I get a little better as time goes by. One day, I will do carry on only!! You are so sweet and thoughtful to promote acts of kindness. Each Christmas my family donates toys to Toys for Tots. Some years are harder than others, but it is important to give to others and I have found that if you buy toys throughout the year, it’s easier and less stressful. Have learned so much from your packing videos!! Great tips! I like how the luggage folds down for storage. It looks awesome! This time of year is so hard for many. If more people in the world did random acts of kindness the world would be a better place. I like paying for the meals in the car behind me in drive thrus. Pay it forward!!

Great video Courtney! I truly love the features and design of this bag. I love the fact that it is the right size, color and the convenience of the interior pockets. Being a frequent traveler, I could pack everything I need. My random acts of kindness is that try my best to smile and greet everyone that I interact with, whether a stranger or coworker that I haven't seen before. I would enjoy a live Q and A session. That would give the viewers like myself an opportunity to ask questions about packing issues.

Great packing and amazing how you got all the clothes to fit into the bag. Random acts of kindness are things I try to do at any time of year. I was behind a young man in Walmart and he was short about $20 after his total reached over $100 for all of the groceries he was purchasing. His young son was restless and the young man was trying to figure out what items to eliminate. I told the clerk that I would like to cover the $20. The young man had tears and thanked me profusely. I was the one thankful.

Cold weather packing is a real challenge, I really apprecite this video! An act of kindness I have done recently is donating to a toy drive for my local children's hospital's oncology unit. Your videos never dissapoint!

Great video, Courtney! I almost always travel using a carry on bag and I use a lot of the same packing techniques that you demonstrated and I use a lot of packing cubes. Keep up the interesting posts.

This video is so helpful for my upcoming winter travels! I love that this luggage folds when it’s empty so that it’s easier to store when I’m not using it, and it provides so much space as a personal item that fits under the seat. What a great video! As a teacher, I am always trying to teach my students about kindness. I model this for them by doing simple things for them. Complimenting them, hugging them and giving them my full attention when they want to talk to me.

So, my favorite act of kindness is to smile at EVERY person that I may come in contact with. Something so simple that is free and it can change an entire day for someone.
Yes that is so true! We often buy a candy bar in the checkout line and give it to the cashier just to make their day a little better!

One of my new favorite layering items in 32 Degrees Warm base layer leggings and tops...thin (I actually wore a pair UNDER a pair of fleece leggings!), very space efficient when packing, plus quick dry when washing...oh, yeah very affordable,too! 😊❤️

Thanks for the great ideas. I travel a lot with carryons and I do use packing cubes .I find that the travel plastic bags you roll work best for me for bulky items like jackets. I stay away from the bulky sweaters. I layer.

Great video but my issue would be shoes - 😆-Always pack several since my feet are an issue! Love the bag . I think the design really maxes out the space available!
I tell myself I really can survive with my tennis shoes! Sometimes I'll slip a pair of sandals or flip flops in!

Thanks for providing a demonstration on how to pack especially for me an over packer lol … I’ve been trying to downsize while still optimizing my packing space and this why I would like to get this bag … as for my act of kindness I’m a coffee drinker and there’s a guy that holds the door open at Dunkin’ Donuts everyday and asks for some change or something to drink and eat so I always try my best to give him something to eat or drink on my way to work that way we both can have some coffee 😊

Perfect timing for this video. I have a trip to WA for Christmas, then a trip to Chicago in March. Been dreading figuring out how to pack warm clothes in a personal item. A random act of kindness.... A woman posted on nextdoor that she cares for a feral cat colony, and needs supplies. I was able to purchase her some food and supplies from Costco. She really liked them, but doesn't have a Costco membership. So I added her to my membership, free of charge. So she can go to Costco, as much as she needs. Also, we are sponsoring 35 Silver Bells this Christmas. (If anyone isn't familiar, Silver Bells are senior citizens that are low income) we purchase items they request as needs or wants for Christmas ⛄.

I love this bag! I don't know why more bags don't collapse like this for storage, it's a great feature. Also because I travel with my toddler I'm always trying to pack as little for myself as possible in order to have more room for the insane amount of stuff that kids need! Thanks for showing a winter clothes video. A few questions: where did you put that first aid bag? Also where are your hairbrushes/tools and makeup? Do you ever use packing or compression cubes?
Hi there! I put the first aid bag in the front near the handle. At 9:11 you can just see it peeking out at the bottom of the bag. A better shot is at 9:29!
I use very little makeup when I travel. When I do have goes in my 3-1-1 bag. I have a very thin comb I can slip in the top of my bag or sometimes I just use my fingers to comb through my hair while I'm traveling.
I do use both packing and compression cubes, but not usually for personal items. I have to be so exact while packing in just a personal item, I feel cubes just make it harder. Plus they don't fit properly in between the slats of the handle in the bag. Then space is wasted which cant happen when you are short on space to begin with.

I love this as an underseat option! Have you used the underseat hardside luggage from Target?
Also, I always try to teach my girls to be kind. They are learning a lot about when others need help and they often try to find solutions to help strangers. But most of the time, if we can’t physically help, we always say a prayer for someone.
I have packed the Target one and I'm not a fan, honestly. I'm not sure why, but it's very awkward to pack.

I've watched so many packing videos and this is one of the best! I need to switch to an underseater (bad shoulder so no longer able to lift a carryon into the overhead). This suitcase looks great! I'd have to forego 1 jeans to get a few toiletries (other than liquids), a wallet, a crossbody, and maybe gloves to use at destination.

Hello there. Love your video! Love the suitcase! A Random act of kindness I did was when I last when on a trip I helped a woman who didn't speak Spanish in Mexico and translated for her so she could understand what was being told to her. Nothing big but I would appreciate it if someone did that for me in a foreign country. 🙂

This is the first time I have seen your video .I can’t believe you got all those clothes in that one bag . Well done, I can only image the outfit you could put in the bag if you were packing for summer , my act of kindness has been supporting and praying with a lady and church friend who,s grandson has been attacked by a dog and his injuries are life threatening.

You know the hotel prices are killing me. They are more than my flight or my cruise.
They really are! Book a refundable rate so if you find somewhere cheaper then you can cancel without a fee. Hotel prices change daily so keep checking!

Random act of kindness -- Stuck up for a coworker when she was not being treated well. Thank you for the video. I was surprised you did not use packing cubes. Curious to see if that would fit less. Looks like your method worked pretty well.
I dont like to use packing cubes. With suitcases with the wheels and telescopic handle, they take up so much room. With packing cubes, when you set them on top of the handle rails inside the bag, you are wasting a lot of space between the packing cube and the side of the suitcase. I go over this in my video of Takeoff Luggage if you want to know more!
I was waiting for a bus early in the morning and a guy was waiting outside of a store for his first day on the job. He told me the doors were locked and he was worried about being late. I called the store and a worker picked up and I told them their new coworker was waiting outside. He was able to get in on time!

Found UnderseatPro through another RUclipsr and reviewer. Couldn’t find it where it’s sold initially and went in a rabbit hole of reviews which landed me on yours. Best review yet really as you show I’d practically use it and showcases the functionality of the luggage itself. Also Intrigued by the minimalism that it facilitates to pack for travel and am considering using air compression plastic bags to be even more efficient. A challenge of sorts, as I’m on a week long road trip over the new year but flying back to LA. But the ultimate test I suppose would be a month long international travel through Mexico next summer. Anyhow here goes nothing and making my entry for the giveaway. None the less thanks for sharing such a hands on demo. 🙃👍

I have been traveling with carry-on exclusively for the last 20 years both domestic and international. I have an old tote that is smaller than the max allowed and it is a struggle to get in everything I want to take on a 2 week trip. Your pile of clothes at the beginning and the neatly packed bag at the end looked like a clown car in reverse! I don't really think of this as an act of kindness but I will be taking care of my cousin while she is recovering from hip replacement surgery - she's family, it's what we do! My random act of kindness was that I helped an elderly woman get some items from the grocery store, by paying for items that she was going to have to put back due to low funds. It was really nice to see how appreciative she was. It made me feel good to know that I was able to help her out. We all have been in a place like that. Love your personal item packing videos. I am very interested in buying the rolling personal item. I am a big packing cube user. Can you make a video using packing cubes? Really curious how they fit in this piece of luggage. During the holidays I like to give donations to different veterans groups like Tunnel 2 Towers. Those men and women have given so much.
Oh no, I really am not a packing cube fan! I like them for bigger luggage for organization, but not the smaller personal luggage like items. I'll mess around and see what I can do!

Looks simple and well organized! What do you do for a purse at your location? And when you get bored?
For a purse I usually take either a very small cross body that I can stuff in my personal item or I just take a small wallet that can fit in a pocket (or in my husbands pocket 😅).
I have to say I don’t really get board on my vacations. When I have downtime I like to sit on a porch or balcony and just relax and people watch. If possible I like to go for walks. I also always have my iPhone with me. I have some games that work offline. I guess if I ever got really board I would grab a book of logic puzzles from the store at my destination and work on those.

Great and informative channel 👍. I'm looking to get 18x14x8 luggage as my bag of choice when I fly Spirit or Frontier. Since you've reviewed all three, do you prefer the Underseat Pro Foldable luggage with wheels, the Underseat Pro backpack, or the Take Off luggage hard shell? I’m debating between the Underseat foldable and the Take Off luggage since they have wheels. Which of these has more internal space to ‘play Tetris’ to cram items in?
I do like how the Underseat Pro foldable has a separate sleeve to put in a laptop or tablet which the Take Off luggage lacks. Decisions decisions...
Ha! That's such a tough question! I like them all equally well, but for different reasons. If you need to bring a laptop and an external monitor, I find the Underseat Pro rolling personal item to win hands down for me. If I'm taking a laptop, the Underseat Pro backpack or the rolling personal item would be good. If you have TSA Precheck or are not taking a laptop, I would recommend the Takeoff Luggage.
As to just the ones with wheels, I think the rolling personal item is slightly easier to cram items into considering its opens at the top of the luggage. Where Takeoff Luggage opens in the middle like most hardsided cases. Also keep in mind, there is no way to put Takeoff Luggage on another piece of luggage. There is no trolley strap unlike underseat pro.

After watching this video I purchased this bag and some packing cubes and love it! I used it on a Spirit flight from Pittsburgh to Newark for a four day trip and it worked out just fine! It is a trip I will be making often to visit my elderly Mom.
My question is what has happened to cheap Spirit airfare? It’s not much different than other airlines now! Is it because I’m not searching incognito and the price has risen for me? I read somewhere that’s what happens🙁.

Yes, it is annoying that prices are not as low as they once were. Honestly, I've never had the issue using a regular browser winder vs the incognito. I'm sure it could play a factor in it. The key to winning at cheap airfare with Spirit is to be flexible and patient. I usually book my airfare no more than 2 month away from my trip and no less than 2 weeks before. Also flying on Tuesday or Wednesday is usually the cheapest days. Check airfare twice a day if you can both morning and evening. I've been at the airport waiting to book and the price changed in that hour I was there waiting.
I have seen $50 airfare on the route that I travel, but its very few and far between. Look into the Spirit Saver club to see if its right for you. You save anywhere from $10-$20 booking regular airfare at the airport. If you don't live near an airport, the saver club might be worth it for you. I believe its a $70 a year investment. If you fly often and the saver club discount is significant enough, it may be worth it!
It is frustrating waiting on cheap airfare, but its honestly just a waiting game with them.

I just purchased two UnderSeat roller bags (another brand - 13.75x16x8.5), do you see any potential issues with using them as both the carry-on & personal items? Thanks for the advise in advance :)
I would worry about that 8.5 inch measurement if you are flying Frontier. Sprit sizers give you a little more wiggle room so you can get away with that extra .5 inches.

I love the design of the bag, I am just concerned about the zipper...you struggled a bit closing it. Don't you think it will eventually break?
Haha I did struggle a bit! Usually I don't have that much trouble. I did pull the compression straps super tight, so that pulls the sides in more. I've traveled a lot with the 1.0 version and I've never had a fear of breaking the zipper.

What about a second pair of shoes? I had a new pair break (only 3 weeks old (sole started to separate and what to glue it. Store refused any compensation for poor workmanship.
That’s awful! Depends on the vacation if I take a second pair of shoes. I figure I can get to a target or Walmart if I need to. Else I can slide in a pair of thin flats or flip flops for an extra pair.

Do most airlines weigh your personal bag? Is that a combined weight of your carry-on snd personal bag for the weight limit?
I fly mainly Sprit Airlines in the United States and they do not weigh your bags. Most domestic airlines don't. I am not sure about any international airlines. I believe Ryanair does weigh your personal items. Your best reference guide is the specific airlines website to know what is/is not allowed on your flight.

Has someone used this bag on Spirit? It says in the description it is acceptable on Spirit but I notice you don’t include them in your list of airlines.
I’ve used this bag in spirit multiple times and never had trouble. It fits in the sizer for spirit and frontier. I added that list of airlines that it would work for in addition to spirit. I’ll fix that so it’s more clear.

Shoes are tricky when I’m packing just a personal item. Most of the time I just wear whatever shoes I have on when I go to their airport. If I have a little space I can get a pair of thin sandals in the sides or the top of my bag.
