Totally subjective, yes. I have been listening to and playing music since the 70s. I listen to everything from Mozart to Motorhead and enjoy each in different ways. The whole idea that music is somehow better because one must stay within the bounds of rules is without merit. Yes, much of popular music is simple, easy to play and yet it strikes a chord and, at times, lasts.
It's been a while since a band like Tame Impala has surfaced. My gut is telling me they are here to stay.
