Greystone Hotel - Horror Short film.
This project was made by Fort Myers locals as an attempt to create a short film in 2 days.
Enjoy, and hope you can sleep at night.

I would not go into investigate but we need those people who do or there wouldn't be great short films like this. Good acting drew me in, very atmospheric and just really well done, thank you.

I like it, it was entertaining, good acting. Cinematography and makeup was nice too. I really enjoyed the music, it was great for the meshing of the two time periods.

The intro stated that the hotel was abandoned in 1974. However, the tourist who went inside looked like he was dressed out of the '50s. (The woman with the Panama hat he passed by, was wearing contemporary clothing). The music was from the '40s, Big Band era. The repeated whispering was saying, I believe, "Do not say Paul", over and over, ending with,"Do not...." The "entity" on the rooftop whispered harshly, "Paul", before the scene cut. Leaving us to wonder the fate of the tourist. Finally, the scene returns to the current era. I'm so freaking confused!!!!!
That guy may have been dressed in 50s clothes but his camera was most certainly modern. So the whole thing takes place in modern day.
That was incredibly observant. Now I'm going to have to take another look at it.

Well done. Short horror makers should learn from you. Everything IMO was reasonable. No fake scare moments like loud noises or music's.

WAS CREEPY! But the only reservation is the one I have with most of these shorts or long dopey "Horror" flicks and that is THE MAIN CHARACTER ACTS IN SUCH UNREALISTIC WAYS, SO OBVIOUSLY LACKING IN A SENSE OF SELF PRESERVATION, THE AUDIENCE FEELS FINE WHEN THEY GET WHAT'S COMING TO THEM. That gimmick is so overplayed it isn't funny. It would be way too disturbing to kill off a highly sympathetic character, YES?? Like someone that really acted with brains and fought the good fight. A film that has characters like that is much more real and thus - MORE DISTURBING IN A MUCH DEEPER WAY. Heaven forbid the audience would be treated with respect instead of being - UNDERESTIMATED. Still, this was pretty good.
If there are no stupid characters in a horror movie, there would be no horror movie. Everyone would be safe, the evil entity would be undisturbed, and no one would die.

I thought we’d stepped back in time. With the actors clothes, and music.
But when he pulled out a modern camera, I was like, okkkkk, we’re not in another time zone.
But, god damn. Why the fuck anyone would walk into an abandoned building, after taking some spooky shots is beyond me.
It wasn’t even suspenseful. I thought he’d take a pic of that book, and have seen something.
Or, I honestly thought we were waiting for a body to be tossed out onto the street.
If the door don’t open the first, or second time.
Don’t be busting the door in to sticky beak.
Historically, curiosity has killed, not only a large number of cats, but also a vast number of HMM’s (Horror Movie Morons) - like this one. There’s one born every minute, of course, otherwise we wouldn’t have any shorts to watch, but in real life nothing, absolutly NOTHING would induce me to enter a building with a bloodstained window at night. Good soundtrack - though these effects could have been used more sparingly.
