Sylvain Pelissier | FILMAGINAIRES I just wanted to say the horrible harsh and abusive treatment of disabled elderly...rather ANY ELDERY hurts me DEEP to my core!! I have lost my (2) grandmothers to this. We 1st took in my mother's mom n cared for her in our home with much love. When she became very worse, and too ill, as i was still just a young child, amongst another sibling, mom unknowingly trusted the wrong nursing home.😠 Every time we visted we watched in horror the way she was left in stool, or urine too long, she had rashes and bed sores, not cleaned upon her skin, and her clothes labled with HER name were missing, or on other patients!!! My parents bought her things. My other grandma her wedding ring, her ONE AND ONLY VALUABLE POSSESSION GONE RIGHT OFF HER FINGER! We had the entire place shut down and sued!!! Nothing came to us for it, as it was NOT $ we cared for.... are intent was that NO one should suffer in that horrible place again. Watching this had me in tears! How abusive people some care takers are to elders. Don't they want their parents well taken care of and think what if this was how my mom or dad was treated? Or even themselves as they age? It makes me absolutely SICK!!!!! and I have to REALLY thank you for showing the awareness, as hard as this was to see, and shedding light to this topic, in a unique way such as a horror short! Care givers be ware....and truly CARE!!!
Hello Blossom
I am sorry for the members of your family, it is unfortunate to see bad people mistreat the vulnerable. It is this kind of reality that made me want to write this little film with rage, because there is for me an injustice, a crime that remains unpunished, a dead end, the creature LILY was necessary in this conclusion of horror, that's all I wish for this kind of individual.
Thank you for your touching comment,
I hope that LILY's message will awaken the conscience, as well as the people who do not think about it.
Sylvain Pelissier | FILMAGINAIRES This is awesome, more behind the scenes 👍🏼
Sylvain Pelissier | FILMAGINAIRES a
Nice film! Lilly was his wife?
Scariest part was how she treated him. Imagine depending on someone for your every need & they abuse you like that.
That's why we have cameras now.
@@johnbowman1076 Too bad we need them.
For once, I wasn't even scared...just waiting for her cruel self to get what she deserved... heartbreaking to know that this really happens to the most vulnerable people.
@@johnbowman1076 We don't have cameras in hospitals here in Pakistan. At least not back in 2010 when I was admitted to the hospital. I have an even worse horror story to share.
@@ironsnowflake1076 People are cruel. I can actually imagine a lot of my friends and people I know in general be like that woman if in a similar situation.
Let that poor old man watch the damn animals
alex m i agree with you she needs to let him watch his animals show
Yeah. Honestly what a bitch
FRRR i woulda beat the shit outta her omg the way she made him shake, i woulda shook her world.
You know someone is a good actor/actress when you feel like punching their character in the face.
Yeah
True ,I felt like drop kicking her ....
Wow.....I had no idea my mother in law was an actor
Anyone else find it incredibly cute when he said "but I want to watch the animals" idk why
Beinq.Hannah yes but she's fucked up
I really thought he was going to turn into a werewolf! 😂
He knew the kids where watching it at the same time. Was what I took from the letter.... I think his late wife told him as he never seen the letter. :)
😭 yeah.. seems like his grandchild was also watching that show
Also there is the difference between the human and animalistic attitude, the wolves were bringing him much more happiness tham her
For the first time I’m on the ghost’s side.
Its sweet in an odd way
Me too
Hannibal Kakihara yes. I hate bitches like her.
yea me too the woman definitely deserved it
First time for me as well, she deserved it!
Old and disabled people should have their own Lily to protect them from carers like her!
You have to give her some credit. She did follow the 5 minute rule picking up his food.
The Dire Puppy 5 SECOND RULE
He reminds me of my dad. When i was a kid i saw him playing tennis, he was a good officer as well. He was the perfect man i came across with. But afterwards he grew old, childish, he always tried to avoid the food which i used to feed. I know dad those were not so tasty, but those good for your health dad. Dad you told me once that i had become your protector your father and i smiled silently. I sometime became irritated when you all the time talk about silly things, while i was busy with my studies. Dad now when you are silent, i just want to listen those talks. Dad i want to say that i miss you i need you and i love you. I never did tell you.
@@deepsengupta3619 stop you're gonna make me cry ;-;
@@deepsengupta3619 I'm sorry, I know where you are coming from.
I could power through absolutely anything but I just can't see an old person being abused like this
and same thing for the kids
and animals.
For me it's the kids ages 10 down I honestly don't know why that shit gets to me
I had to keep reminding myself, it’s only a movie, cause I wanted to come through my phone and choke that abusive POS! Elder abuse is happening to someone right now! There is a place in hell for for those that abuse elders, animals and children!! Great film, great acting! 💕
Right? Sadist she was..
10:03: Surprise mothaf*cka!
You sound exactly like me. Abuse of those that can't defend themselves makes me irate.
You go, Lily!
The scariest part of this film is just how prevalent elder abuse actually is and how little is done to stop it. Unless you have a "Lily" of your own!
Lily is the name of the caretaker I thought
@Z G Lily was his wife. At the last scene, where he looks to the empty rocking chair rock, he says "Lily". Then laughs. Implying, he was screaming for his wife, not the caretaker, when he was pushed him into the bedroom.
It makes me SICK to see helpless children and elderly people mistreated! 😡
👊😂
Add animals in there and same!
@@AngieCee1 I agree but I don't want to witness that.
I must say that this short story is a lot better than most of Hollywood big budget crap. It speaks volumes that within 10 minutes you set the plot, character traits, and it didn't feel rushed. Outstandind
The only movie where you're actually rooting for the ghost!!! 😉
😖
Abusing the elderly is the nature of the scum of humanity.... I was lucky to have both my grandparents till 27 years of my life... They really were very sweet and I miss them... I couldn't even contemplate what this woman did... I regret a lot of things that I could have told them, and sometimes I had small arguments with them and that's gonna haunt me forever.... But I love them and am gonna love them for the rest of my life... I just wish I could just see them again...
Gurbinder Sekhon me too...until I was 27 with my papa and 26 with my nana. Actually a week ago was the year anniversary♡
I also regret not saying certain things to them ...and miss them terribly.
Sierra they're in your heart and live through you
I feel your pain...
One of the reasons I respect the Japanese is the way they care for and respect their elders.
The sad truth is this is a real problem for people who can't provide for themselves. But I'm glad in this case the supernatural was able to step in and give what's coming.
I was a home health care provider for 13 years, it was the best, most fulfilling job I have ever had. People like the woman in this video really piss me off. I'm glad she got what she deserved. 👍 Thank you for this wonderful film!
Don’t even speak the language and hated that “caretaker” with a passion. Excellent filmmaking!
I literally was almost in tears saying *"But why? He just wants to watch the puppies........"*
I cried.. Shit like this happends in real life
I was about to say the same thing. People like that caretaker are real and they only do that job to steal from old people who can't care for themselves anymore. In worst cases the people stealing are relatives, even own children. It is really sad.
True :/.... If i was his caregiver i would have grabbed a soda and sat on his couch to watch the animals together next to him. Poor guy :(....
AnssiVIH They all should have a helpful ghost wife to protect them.
That old man is adorable but that bish deserved to die so this was like a try not to get satisfied challenged
She was punished for her wickedness
Yes I totally agree
So you liked the old man and disliked the woman abusing him and therefore found yourself in an ethical dilemma? Sorry, I'm lost.
It actually made me cry that she was being so cruel to that poor old man :(
I don't like that mean old nurse bullying an old man who she's supposed to be caring for.. I hate her... so well done! You've got me invested after only 1 minute
I hated that bitch so much, it was physically hurting. Very few times, have I wished a fictional character to die with this intensity.
Great concept. Great execution. Loved it.
Ive always felt strongly this is what horror should be- Morality tales that teach people who do horrible things a lesson.
awwwwwwww his wife makes sure he's taken care of - that's so cute!
I watched this in fucking tears. My grandfather had a caregiver that was just so fucking horrible and used to also beat him and forced him to write over EVERYTHING to her. He was a very wealthy man. And by the time we found out we couldn’t do anything about it. But my grandfather was to scared to say anything and I hate myself everyday for not knowing and not being able to rescue.
This was done very well and the acting was phenomenal. Great job.
This made me cry I'm not even lying especially the part where he said he needed to use the bathroom then she insulted him and talked about how his wife didn't love him and he peed himself made me cry it's just so heartbreaking
Poor old man 😢 There are elderly people that are being abuse in nursing homes.
IS Werry Sad, 😭😭😭😭😭😭
Very interesting, unique concept; such an antipathetic character Myriam was - I hated her with passion and sympathized with Ovidio/deceased wife, Lily until the end, and then the twist happens. Haha, good one.
In a dead end situation, for people without defenses LILY is the radical solution
Why did the ending change that?
All he does is sit in a wheelchair and all she does is kill a bunch of people that are mean to him.
Id say all the other caretakers where eighter using or abusing the old man aswell.
I like Lily. That's true love.
Right on! I hope to have that kind of love from beyond if need be!! I know id have hubbys back with that miserable beeotch.
Sadly to say, this happens often.. My grandmother was being abused at a nursing home. It was too hard for my mother, & I to take care of her. Then a little over two years ago, my mother developed cancer that spread quickly. Myself, & my two eldest children took care of her till the very last day, & breath of her life. She begged us not to put her in a home after finding out that her mother was abused. We found out through her jewelry being missing. { her wedding ring} then turned her over, & saw all the bedsores.
Only good thing to come out of this was my mother died at home, surrounded by family, holding her hands, { I hope she knew } & it made my two daughters nurses. One is a nurse now, & my 18 y/o is a caregiver for her other grandmother, & waiting to go to courses.
I'm glad your daughters discovered what they wanted to do. Being a nurse requires a lot of patience and a strong character. Bless them and you, of course
@@random_meta Thank you kindly. I hope you're doing well. Have a blessed one. 🙏🙏😇
I wanna watch animals with him :(
joining cuz y not
OMG as a caregiver (of 14 years) I was so riled up I was never more happy to see a character die. The sad thing is, is that there are alot if Caregivers out there like this who are family and hired caregivers with no Lily's to protect them💔. Great short.
Hard to watch in parts because this kind of abuse happens all over the world to the elderly and the disabled
Elder abuse makes me ill, so I was wincing every moment.
THIS WOMAN IS JUST ACTRESS! STOP HATE HER! If you hate her, thats mean she good actress
Catherine is a very good actress committed to this cause, people hate only the character of Myriam in the film, which is a role of interpretation
do not hesitate to watch the making of

@@TajemnaTemnota ok

My emotions were all over the place here. Great job.
That woman had it coming. She treated that man like he was s**t.
The abuse and neglect of elderly people is an absolute disgrace. Any person responsible for hurting these people deserves EVERY EVIL UPON THEM.
That poor old man........😭
It was avenged by the nice LILY :)
sadly these things do go on .....evil pig.
+mark relph they do sadly
omg. I wish Lily was real. wouldnt be abusers left for long thats for sure!
She really deserve that punishment.....i hate that women....plz respect old people
Excellent! I doubt anyone had much sympathy for Myriam when Lily came after her.
WOW, this story was amazing, not that many people will understand... it took me few minutes to figure it out, but wow well done! This types of messages need to go out to our society for the bad people who get away without any consequences.... makes me so upset and tearful watching this kind of abuse to elderly.... not right people...
Well done Sylvain Pelissier! It's indeed a great short film!
Thank you
Ending explained plz
@@SouvikDasReviewthe man’s dead wife (Lily) was watching through the photographs on the walls and saw the caregiver abusing her husband. so at the end she came and dealt with the evil caregiver. all the photos on the wall at the end were photos of all the previous abusive caregivers and the man’s wife was in the rocking chair next to him. she is his protector even though she is dead, she comes back in the form of a ghost when she sees him being mistreated.
This is one of the best short horror films I’ve ever seen! Every shot had a purpose and it really kept me engaged with the characters! I really enjoyed the over all tension between the two characters throughout the film. My favorite part was the build up to the haunting and then the plot twist at the end. Beautifully done! I loved it!
Thank you for the feedback
The production is spot on.
In the film, the slag got exactly what she deserved. Kudos!
I'll give you all the Kudos of the universe and beyond.☺👏👍
As someone who has worked in assisted living, this hit me pretty hard. I loved my residents, and still do. It would kill me to see something bad happen to them.
That old man broke my heart, I hope lily tears the heart out of this woman
This is my worse nightmare as I get older.
I like the fact that a good number of these short horror films revolve around people getting what they deserve.
We need more ghosts like this one
Serves her best. I am so pissed of with that carer. I am a carer myself and I would never do that to a poor old man or woman. :'(
Horror movie with a message ... 😂😂.
We have to face this Old age ...it feels very bad. Must respect our elders. Namaste 🙏
Less than sixty seconds in, I despised that 'caregiver.' Superb job!
Did y'all cried for the old man or it's just me?😔
Ya me too
You are from which state and what you are currently doing
ngl yes im cryin 🙀
I wish abusive caregivers really got this vengeance given to them from family members. This film was awesome. Loved it...and the little frail man is adorable. You get em Lily! ♡♡♡♡♡
This is fantastic! I hope your work continues to bring you the success and recognition it deserves. Definitely going on my favorites list (why can't Americans make movies this good??)
Thank you very much Elizabeth for your message, I hope that LILY will be viewed by the largest numbers
This goes on in care homes and hospitals much more frequently than the general public could ever imagine. How i wish this happened to every monster who mistreated the most vulnerable among us.
I will never understand how you behave with another person like that.
The abuse is the scariest part.
I can't, I can't even watch how miserable people are to other humans! I know it's acting but I am hurting inside and I had to stop at where she is feeding him food that fell on the floor! I want to cry 😭 Amazing acting!
thank you for the return, watch my film until the conclusion, you will discover the beautiful surprise
@@SylvainRéal ugh my goodness I will try 😞 thank you 💖
@@SylvainRéal oh wow, I watched until the end! Incredible! So there were PLENTY of horrible caretakers and Lily took "care" of them! 💞💞💞💞💞
Italy held the crown as the kings of horror in the 70s/80s, but I think France now holds that distinction in the modern age. This short tells a better story in 12 minutes, than “Escape Room” does in 120. Very enthralling watch! Viva la France!
I really really hate caretakers that take advantage of their patients/clients like that. Serves her right!
i believe the overall message of the film is that abuse of the elderly happens far more often than you'd think, bc sadly, it does & that sure is a lot of pictures on the wall :( but at least he got justice in the end!
You reap what you sow. Very nice short movie. The soundtrack is marvelous!
They _all_ treated him awfully?? Horrible. I'm glad Lily got them ❤️ This is a love story❤️
Oh good. I despise people who are mean to the elderly. 😡
I was a CNA and worked in private homes and "retirement" homes and all kinds of places...how much I hate anyone who would be like that to a patient who can't do for themselves!! Good on you, Lily!! (If I go first, I'll come back if anyone treats my husband poorly...but there'd be no second chances and it wouldn't have taken that long!) Excellent film, thank you for the English-subtitles! Very much apprecetiated!
Excellent execution!!!!! I really do think a good horror film should punish people with horror instead of the innocent
This made me cry no elderly person that is disabled should be treated like that...my favorite part of this was when lily died...like if u agree that NO ONE should be treated like that
Woooow!! That was fantastic! Great acting, especially by the Man! Loved it!
This is actually really good I knew it would happen but the build up was amazing and the reveal was great too I ll right it in French below through google translate
C'est vraiment très bon, je savais que cela arriverait, mais la mise en place était étonnante et le révéler était super aussi je vais le droit en français ci-dessous par google translate
😀😀 She Got her just Reward... Yall better stop mistreating the Elderly..They still have feelings to ❤️
I felt pain when I saw the suffering poor elderly man who needed help while an evil lady neglected his help and abused him. This short film was one of the best drama horror short films. Great job!
One of the most satisfying movie ever... though I would of done more horrible things to that lady, but then again what's more horrible than getting stuck in a picture frame for the rest of your life while watching the very person you treated badly and others becoming a victim if they treat Lily's husband horrible. I have a question though... What happens to the ones that treats him nicely? Does the husband fire them off so Lilly won't come after their soul? It's the only way she can stay with him right? She can only be there if she gets a soul it's like her being fed so she can stay with her husband without turning on him coz she's become a demon for her husband...
I'll answer your question, Lily intervenes only on the auxilaires who harm her husband, otherwise Lily does not intervene, it is according to the behavior of the auxiliary of life that Lily will lock them in the frames
I feel bad for the old man ☹️
Awesome acting. The actress really made me hate her character
This was very hard for me to watch, my dad is in about the same position that man is. I cared for him and am his guardian, the only one out of all my family who gives a crap. (You don't have time for me to get into the depressing details, trust me). This made me so heartbroken and angry at the same time. I took guardianship of my dad (even though I'm not really in a good position to be caring for him) because I didn't want to see something like this happen to him. I don't know if you guys recall what made the news was this hospice nurse or something a while back was just lazy and let a veteran die when he was calling for help, even laughing when it was happening and lying about it afterwards. And it's my understanding she didn't even get her licence revoked, only suspended!!!!! Look it up on Google. Hateful people like this exist, and that's what is terrifying.
I cared for my dad too, so yeah, it was hard to watch.
I am social worker and I care about old people with dementia. This short movie maked me cry! Me I never cry at movie in this way. Acting was perfect! Perfect! I like it a lot! (And hate that care taker character more than anyone!)
TajemnaTemnota nobody cares about you being a social worker and blah blah blah, did you like the film or not. Jeeze.
Yeah I'm a caretaker myself and i do everything for my patients. It's not because they are old they are suddenly like a burden. I love my patients and on occasion surprise them with pancakes or other foods or drawings and I teach them new things too like handling a computer. They really like that. And a big hug can make a difference. I also smoke weed with some patients and they love it! Last week I made apple cake for them and they loved it! But when they die, it's hard. But I get over it eventually but I'll never forget the love I had with them.
I like the revenge type of horror movie
Vicious caretakers, who mistreat elderly people in that way , truly deserve a fate like that!! They forget that Karma would never spare them!! Each and every caretaker should be shown this movie..
Apart from that, amazing concept, amazing acting & amazing execution!! Great job!! Keep it up!! :D :D
The really horrifying thing is that that shit happens. Carers abuse helpless people... I can only imagine what anguish those poor people must go through. To wish you had your full strength back so you could wring their neck and rip their throat out. That must be so frustrating, to know you could have done that 10 years ago but now you are a helpless victim and people think you have lost your marbles.
And if your deceased loved ones knew what was going on.. hell yes they would come back like Lily did and frighten the bejesus out of that despicable shit stain of a human. I know I would. I'd make them suffer.
Wow. Great film. Brought all those feelings up I never knew I had. What a talent.
the old man remind me so much with my father, he get stroke like that, stuck in the chair and watching tv everyday, he just stuck and dont wanna to move. everyday i leave her alone, when i go to work, just alone at home with locked door and window. i love this movie, not only remind me with my father, but the concept is different, and brilliant idea. but there no more explained about what actually happend with their home, about the creature and more supranatural fenomena. I still cunfused. but i love this. great works

Always good to see justice served
Agreed
I felt sad rather than scared😢i remember my grandpa, i usually took care of him before he left..missing him❤
This is a really good movie acting, lighting and techniques were all good. It is also an important movie because of the topic it touches on-elder abuse. Good going!
I wanted to cry. That poor sweet elderly man. NO PERSON on earth deserves to be treated like that. I wouldnt wish that on my worst enemy! Compassion is free to give and rewarding. This was hard to watch. AMAZING ACTING. AMAZING FILM. THANK YOU!!!
Well finally a nice story after all those idiotic ones....this was good
Btw acting was great and the ghost was also cool you know😂
This is a great short, loved the lesson.Elder abuse is just inhumane...We all grow old sometime.
All those caretakers who treated like shit deserved it
Wow, this was much better than I expected. I enjoyed the story, the message was fantastic, and the actors were stellar. All in all a good flick.
Honestly she deserved it, and it made me want to cry how she was so mean and evil to that sweet old man and his family.
What's really sad is how good hearted people are treated poorly all their lives and end up with terrible people taking care of them in their infirmity. But an A-hoes person in the same situation gets taking care of in their infirmity by good hearted people. SMH
This film make me sad for all of old people treated like shit :'(
It made me so mad to see that women treating that poor old man like that. He was just a sweet little old man and she was just so cruel! It breaks my heart to know that there are actual people like that in this world .
She was down right evil to that poor man. She deserved what she got.
Yup an horrible woman
Amazing quality and amazingly well done! One of the best short films I've seen.
Thank you very much Molly
This was very difficult to watch, only because this happens too many times and too much in our society - great film - keep up the great work !
Wow I must say that this had some great acting. I loved this short film. Keep it up!
I just love the ending. A double Thumbs up
