Fun fact: bears and ravens hunt together, since ravens want to get to the inside meats but can't break the skin by themselves, they get other predators and lead them to food, where the predator opens the skin and they both eat
I'm probably only remembering half a wrong fact but is it bears that keep ravens as pets to watch for other predators and in exchange the bear lets them eat the remains?

Fun fact, I used to work for a can manufacturing company, and the "plastic" is called the Coat and is sprayed on inside the can before it is shipped to the beverage company (coke, coors, etc.). The coat is required because if you put Pepsi or Coke in a plain aluminum can, it will eat through the metal in a couple hours. (Yes the same cola we put in our bodies can eat through metal)

I think the reason the bottom doesn't dissolve has more to do with the air bubble trapped underneath preventing the acid from actually contacting the bottom than the thickness of the aluminum.
