Good Morning Al and Fudgey. Another Excellent and Professional Informational Educational High Quality movie of the goings on at the Fabulous 6D Diesels. Lovely to see the Flat Bed Rescue vehicle having some TLC given to her. I am really Loving the Light Bar and the side body safety Illumination down the vehicles body. Good to see Fudgey's Gorgeous Ford Capri looking better with it's Beautiful Hand polished Drive Shaft, what a Shaft to Admire. I am very Impressed in seeing Your Brand new Project Al. The rather rare Ford Escort Mk6 Escort Van with a very Good Quality Engine as it's Power Unit. Low mileage on a W Reg. It really does look like one of the Best examples from Ford. My dad had a 1994 Fiesta 1.8 LX Diesel without the turbo, it was TERRIBLE 😂🤣😂 looking forward to seeing the van cleaned up!
I used to have a mk6 white escort van 1.8TD, it was before the scrappage scam so i bought a white mk6 GTi for £50 and robbed the front bumper, wheels and entire interior plus loom and electrics off it. Was proper smart! Good old days when they were everywhere.

Bigger for a start
Back late eighties through much of the nineties I had my converted red LWB twin wheel MK2 diesel Transit I converted into a hooker, I made more money from that vehicle than any vehicle before or since but they outlawed hooks for spectacles then started coming down on spectacles in favour of flatbeds. It was actually well done too, I got from Cooper's in Deptford a Transit breakers the back panel from a cabbed Transit and welded that in once I angle ground down the sides leaving a lovely curved look to the cut with a curved lip over the doings which looked super cool once we'd welded in the rear of the cab behind the second row o' seats. Skinned the exterior now inside panels with alloy plate a mate had jolly roger discounted from some metal yard over Essex way and my oppo he painted it pink as he was bonkers like that and the van got the nickname "m**geyflaps" for obvious purposes, had all the bells and whistles for the driver too, we'd got hold of an inverter think it was nicked from British Rail and we put in a full blow HiFi on a shelf in the rear bit, big beefy speakers which we had the CB home base wired into plus Colonel Bogey airhorn set, flashy yellow lights another mate had acquired from atop a Bromley council works truck... Now another MK2 LWB twin wheel, ex British Gas, one night mate and I nicked the big silver cat statue from outside Jaguar on Bromley common and we roped and bolted it to the roof of my Transit until the old bill had us over and made us give it back, it was super funny seeing this battered old Transit mooching down the road with this giant Jaguar cat atop lol Was around that time mate and I decided we wanted a RWD MK1 Fiesta van, using a Sierra diff, a Cologne V6 2.8, some rubbishy welding and a complete non understanding of safety stuff like cradles, engine bracketry, supports and well it ran then something pinged and next minute mate and I were escaping Fiesta van as the shortened prop came off the diff and was flailing around like the fist of death and that poor Fiesta van tore itself to death...

The Merc with the new back on is looking good and getting there as you doing it when you have spare time being a very bissy man with customers vehicle's you say some funny things al you need a bigger hammer when straighting stuff i was waiting for the side to fall off that escort van will soon sell it as people pay silly money for anything old ford even a diesel but being turbo as well im not even going to bother bidding on it as people will be bidding crazy on

Back in the day, I could have replaced t/belts and clutches on those ford's with my eyes closed. Replaced countless. Great engines when looked after.

I remember the old none Turbo Diesel MK4 escort not very quick very weak Gearbox bearings but with a XR3 / XR2 CVH Gearbox fitted made it quite nippy 😁😁

I had a mk5 Escort van many moons ago, great little work horse.
Like the Escort van Al, I had a non turbo 2001, bought it with a broken cam belt, soon sorted it & used it for a good few years, sold it on ebay about 6 years ago & got a decent price for it, got a 2002 LWB Connect, those Customs are a drivers van, I hated those stupid rear door check straps as you couldn't load things like polymask of 36" masking paper in the corners as the check straps got in the way when you closed the doors!, nice having a chat with you the other day about the Selemix

Great video as always, nice job on the recovery truck that a man has many of lol, on a side note for a while in the past as a side line running a workshop I bought a number of turbo d escort cars usually mot failures as a man does and transplanted the onions into vans as it was basically all bolt in, a bit of playing with the exhaust and modifications to the rear light wirring they were good to go,and they did go well, I must of done at least 20 plus selling the old engines usually to people who were too tight to have the belts done 😂😂😂😂

I need you help Al friend has a 2003 Merc Vito very low mileage 980000 but had a new diesel pump fitted tandem one and was running fine then cut out and wont run now Edu is it came up ive wipe that off with a OBD2 but wont start but will run for 2 seconds when spray stuff down the air pipe is it some thing i can change with no problems im not diesel expert only petrol mate be greatfull mate
Check the injector plugs for one , fuel rail pressure check would be the next see what it’s registering on live data whilst cranking around 170-80 bar needed before it will fire 👍
