Most of my friends (and myself) had some sort of friendship/roommate drama in their early 20s. It’s a challenging time, and I’m so beyond grateful that we didn’t have the Internet following our every move as we navigated adulthood. It’s clear from my lens that everyone in the house made mistakes. You’re figuring out who you are as an adult, and it’s completely understandable that you will all take missteps in relationships, life, and business along the way. His video wasn't even offensive LMAO. At least the guy didnt spent 38 mins bashing the two of them for a profit with a few "maybe we can be friends down the line" comments to protect himself. At face value Kelly went off the handle from Elliot's first video which was 9 mins of him talking which compromise a breakdown of him in the rain for like 2 mins, him talking about himself for like 3 mins, some old b-roll footage, and him barely saying much about why he moved. I agree, I feel like the equity clarification (which is not really clarified but just 'he said she said') was the only thing in this video that needed to be said. Clearly 2 people (a couple) aren't going to keep UMH alive and I don't think that's what people were really upset about. It was the claims about equity and hating Ashley.

I think there were different feelings and disagreements which leads to a blurred line of communication. It happens when you live with people. Its a normal thing. We loved this content house. But it didn’t work out. There were somethings that were said and done but at the end of the day its nothing too serious. Don’t overthink it. You live and you learn. Watched Kelly's Addressing the End (ATE) video & rewatched Elliot's I'm Leaving (IL) video. I still think Elliot did not throw shade at Kelly or Ashley. The mistake was made when Kelly posted "The Truth" (TT) video which then started this drama. It was excerbated when Kelly humiliated Elliot with the ATE video, I will be surprised if the friendship can be salvaged after the ATE video. It would have been better if Kelly gave Elliot time to heal & save the friendship. I am not looking at this from a business perspective, I am looking at this from a place of compassion for someone who isn't as lucky, as Kelly & Ashley, who was unable to deal & adapt to new situations as easily. I forget sometimes, but Elliot is just 22 and this is his first real job, so it is understandable that he struggles with this. Both Kelly & Ashley knew Elliot had been having a hard time processing all that has happened & is quite a sensitive person. You two have each other in this and should have been the bigger person & let time heal. Kelly & Elliot seemed to have a deep connection & joy together, sad it is lost over an over-reaction on Kelly's end when he responsed with his TT video. Again, I strongly believe there was nothing to response to, Elliot was just being soppy & confused about his life & future. All this either shows the egotistical & political side of Kashley or the lack of foresight & maturity at Kelly's end on how to handle this problem. Kelly's TT video & ATE video have bigger ramifications & damage as it was an expose video on Elliot. Elliot with his IL video & this video was not an expose and did not create any public humiliation on anyone like Kelly's ATE did. Kelly, please be the bigger person, talk to a more mature impartial person & do damage control.

Honestly I never found your "im leaving ur moms house" shading Kelly and Ashley. You obviously noticed you were resenting your bestfriends and you needed time for yourself and thats good. mental health is a real thing. I think what made this whole situation to be public was Kelly's clip of him reacting to you posting. This all could've been avoided publicly if Kelly didn't include that clip. Then Kelly then posts a video of him and Ashley addressing the 'ur moms house' and says something along the lines of "I just wish that it wouldn't have to come to posting this video and having to address it public" in the video. When really Kelly's clip was the one who caused all speculation and forced them to explain.

In the end its the "fans" who make up their own narrative about the situation based on their own opinion. In my comment im saying, since people were already making up assumptions, like it was kellys and Ashleys fault, Kelly shouldn't have posted that clip because it would then make it public. This didn't really clarify anything tbh but, I won't keep harping on that. Basically your whole crew moved on into the new house with no issues. I dont think anyone really saw what bothered you (whether it's was legitimate or not) and thats ok. When you move in with people sometimes you realize you werent meant to live together. From what I get after this video is that he wanted to do a video where they show him leaving ur moms house because he did not want to be a part of it much longer. But kelly and ashley did not want that. They wanted to keep it lighthearted and pretend that everything was fine which definitely wasn’t . The same thing happened when Annemarie left. But I guess elliot was not having any of that and he posted early. The video did not throw any shade towards kashley but that is what miscommunication does between people. If kashley really cared about elliot’s feeling like they claimed in their video, that video would not have been 40 mins long. Getting that personal was a low blow coming from them, they could have taken some accountability but all they did was blame Elliot, this is what happens when the power dynamic changes and its better ur moms house ended because eventually there would be two parties in that agreement kashley and elliot, when there should be three to have better decision making in place. They were gonna upload this news on they're group ( combined channel) not on their individual channel. Most of my friends (and myself) had some sort of friendship/roommate drama in their early 20s. It’s a challenging time, and I’m so beyond grateful that we didn’t have the Internet following our every move as we navigated adulthood.
It’s clear from my lens that everyone in the house made mistakes. You’re figuring out who you are as an adult, and it’s completely understandable that you will all take missteps in relationships, life, and business along the way. Growth can be wildly uncomfortable (especially with millions of people watching and commenting).
Wishing you and the others a bright future, as you take these lessons learned with you. You’re beyond talented, Elliott, and I’m excited to watch this next chapter unfold!

Kinda rubs me the wrong way Elliot acts like he's above it all now when it was his actions that started it. Feels like he's being intentionally dismissive throughout the video - "only equal equity was discussed with the lawyer" yeah probably because cutting out Ashley was only discussed behind her back, "different posting schedules" yeah thats why everyone else was blindsided and Elliot just happened to be the first one to control the narrative
His video wasn't even offensive LMAO. At least the guy didnt spent 38 mins bashing the two of them for a profit with a few "maybe we can be friends down the line" comments to protect himself. At face value Kelly went off the handle from Elliot's first video which was 9 mins of him talking which compromise a breakdown of him in the rain for like 2 mins, him talking about himself for like 3 mins, some old b-roll footage, and him barely saying much about why he moved. Clearly the comments got Kelly into his feelings and instead of being logical decided to make the video. I agree, I feel like the equity clarification (which is not really clarified but just 'he said she said') was the only thing in this video that needed to be said. Clearly 2 people (a couple) aren't going to keep UMH alive and I don't think that's what people were really upset about. It was the claims about equity and hating Ashley.

I think there were different feelings and disagreements which leads to a blurred line of communication. It happens when you live with people. Its a normal thing. We loved this content house. Sure, in public on legal terms Elliot wanted proportional equity. What I gathered from Kelly’s video is that behind closed doors Elliot didn’t actually believe that. If Elliot quit ur moms house a month before lease ended then I understand there’s no agreement when to post but as friends it seems disrespectful to completely negate ur friends’ wishes for the ending of the house you guys put together.

Co-founders separate all the time for various reasons.
The fact that no one seems to even see Kelly and Ashley's surprise relationship as resulting in any sort of rift with ur mom's house leads me to question their thought processes. Watched Kelly's Addressing the End (ATE) video & rewatched Elliot's I'm Leaving (IL) video. I still think Elliot did not throw shade at Kelly or Ashley. The mistake was made when Kelly posted "The Truth" (TT) video which then started this drama. It was excerbated when Kelly humiliated Elliot with the ATE video, I will be surprised if the friendship can be salvaged after the ATE video. It would have been better if Kelly gave Elliot time to heal & save the friendship.
I am not looking at this from a business perspective, I am looking at this from a place of compassion for someone who isn't as lucky, as Kelly & Ashley, who was unable to deal & adapt to new situations as easily. I forget sometimes, but Elliot is just 22 and this is his first real job, so it is understandable that he struggles with this. Both Kelly & Ashley knew Elliot had been having a hard time processing all that has happened & is quite a sensitive person. You two have each other in this and should have been the bigger person & let time heal.
Kelly & Elliot seemed to have a deep connection & joy together, sad it is lost over an over-reaction on Kelly's end when he responsed with his TT video. Again, I strongly believe there was nothing to response to, Elliot was just being soppy & confused about his life & future.
All this either shows the egotistical & political side of Kashley or the lack of foresight & maturity at Kelly's end on how to handle this problem. Kelly's TT video & ATE video have bigger ramifications & damage as it was an expose video on Elliot. Elliot with his IL video & this video was not an expose and did not create any public humiliation on anyone like Kelly's ATE did.
Kelly, please be the bigger person, talk to a more mature impartial person & do damage control.

The way I see it, Kashley is thriving in a new house with roommates who were mutual friends with Elliot, that alone says enough about them being fine friends, but fearing backlash over Elliot's IL video, they over reacted. I think what made this whole situation to be public was Kelly's clip of him reacting to you posting. This all could've been avoided publicly if Kelly didn't include that clip. From what I get after this video is that he wanted to do a video where they show him leaving ur moms house because he did not want to be a part of it much longer. But kelly and ashley did not want that. They wanted to keep it lighthearted and pretend that everything was fine which definitely wasn’t . The same thing happened when Annemarie left. But I guess elliot was not having any of that and he posted early. The video did not throw any shade towards kashley but that is what miscommunication does between people. If kashley really cared about elliot’s feeling like they claimed in their video, that video would not have been 40 mins long. Getting that personal was a low blow coming from them, they could have taken some accountability but all they did was blame Elliot, this is what happens when the power dynamic changes and its better ur moms house ended because eventually there would be two parties in that agreement kashley and elliot, when there should be three to have better decision making in place.
