Great video. Glad you saw a bear. Keep your food safe even when lunching. I hiked for many years in Sierra encountering many bears. Be very careful. I walked with dogs most of the time, so they would keep the bears away. As you arrive closer to Yosemite, the bears may be more friendly. In Tahoe, they may become more aggressive. Enjoy them from afar and make plenty of noise. You are the first group I have been watching that actually saw a bear.
Hi! Yes, Chris is now called Trout Daddy on trail (or just Trout)!! He bought a California fishing permit and has been fishing for trout throughout our time in the Sierras !
Wow! Another day to remember! Fantastic. 😊
🎉
Good job on Forrester Pass and seeing a black bear.

Congrats on Forrester! First bear on the trail?
Another great video guys, glad you got to see the bear. Is Chris's trail name Trout Daddy? I don't think I've heard anyone mention that until today.
