biggest advantage USA has is our swimmers are fresher. All 4 Chinese swimmers swam the prelims on 8/3 and then XU and Quin both swam the Mixed Medley final that night (so did Murphy and Fink). Dressel missing the final in the 100 Fly helps and I suspect he'll give the US a 1 second advantage and it'll be up to US anchor to hold off Pang. China will be lane 5 and USA lane 3 so Pang will not be able to draft off Alexy (or whoever swims for US).
Would be interested to see the thinking behind GB’s medley relay choices…… might have struggled with finding the podium, however it would have been better to see what Morgan / Evans could have done! Gutted we only have one more recap to come 😢

Absolutely insane how when the usa breaks a world record with ryan murphy going faster than Xu who he lost to in the 100m backstroke final, they don't get called out for doping, even though they have infinitely more athletes who've been caught doping and banned, absolute madness
Could have China used a woman in backstroke and Pan Zhale in freestyle today? I dont know but i really think they could have won that relay with Pan Zhale.

Ceccon/Martinenghi seem like they could have given them a lethal start, considering they each won their 100s.
I reckon Jiayu Xu and Murphy are relatively even, Qin will beat Finke by 0.5s, and if Zhan Panle keeps his WR pace he’s beating everyone by 1s. Just gotta see if Dressel beats whoever by 1.5s

I think Hunter needs a 0.8 lead after the fly to win. If China are closer I think we see 45 for the win….

China has many more swimmers who have been caught doping since the Chinese appeared on the swimming seen in the 1990s.
