I guess im randomly asking but does any of you know of a method to get back into an Instagram account?
I somehow forgot the account password. I would appreciate any help you can give me.
@Brixton Christian Thanks so much for your reply. I got to the site thru google and Im trying it out now.
Takes quite some time so I will get back to you later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
@Brixton Christian it did the trick and I now got access to my account again. I am so happy!
Thanks so much, you really help me out :D
Whoever runs that baggage system is a credit to Heathrow
Never knew my bag has so much fun after it’s checked-in
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣❤️😂😂😂😂😂😂❤️😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅
i agree…
Only until it gets on the plane! Then comes the torture
The behind the scenes operation at Heathrow is vast and intricate. I never cease to be fascinated by it.
That was an awesome behind the scenes. Huge Thankyou to Nigel and all the hard working baggage handlers at LHR for allowing Josh to show us this amazing system. Thanks Josh for the effort and security clearance you had to go through to allow us a peek behind the scenes. Well done👍👍
Thank you for the video Josh! Very insightful. Must have been really fun to take the tour behind the scenes. Thank you for taking us with you!
I used to work as a ramp agent and a ticket counter agent. I kinda already know how it works. But watching this video gave me more insight of how it works @ Heathrow.
this is an old comment so I don't expect a reply, but I've applied to be a ramp agent and was wondering exactly what the job entails?
This was great to have a behind the scenes look at baggage system.Man those bags really move on those belts!
its like a roller coaster i've always wanted as a kid to go with the suitcase and sit on the convayor belt
I like how the guy when asked about lost luggage almost seemed to infer it was never the problem at Heathrow, but the outstation connection, like New York. Glad Heathrow never messes up bags :-(
My Mum has hear enough in the past to refer to the airport as 'Thiefrow'. But from my experience all they do is scuff and ding your nice aluminium suitcases...
I am a Ramp Agent supervisor at Heathrow. The reasons bags are lost is not because we steal them 🤦♂️. Could you image me at the end of my shift walking out with a suitcase from our company office, through the security post and then getting on a staff bus.
The main reasons are tag coming off, tagging error and unknowingly bags being drop while transporting from baggage hall to the aircraft. You are more likely to lose your bag if you checked in late, short connection and your bags are loaded as a loose bulk instead of a container.
Hope this helps.
So many people book a tight connection and run through the airport and expect their bag to make it as well. Check in earlier and book longer connections and your bag should be more likely to make it all the way when you do.
Its not that Heatrow never messes up bags. The problem is probably on the other airports where LHR has connections to. Mostly becaouse of late passengers, wrogly tagged bags or even lost bags. Its everywhere like this that the arrival point just makes a claim and deal with upset passengers to find their luggage..
Very interesting video Josh. Interesting to see the underground system that moves bags to wherever they need to go. Can easily see how some bags get lost in the system.
Thanks Josh, really interesting!
After seeing this video now I understand why that bottle of wine broke in my suitcase (before Jet Bags)! Thanks Josh for another super creative video outside of the box!❤️👍✈️
@187 Krimelife being an alcoholic is funny as fuck
Josh, Great informational video. Thanks
Great video! I hear the newest Denver, CO USA airport opened with an incredible baggage system. Just an idea. Cheers.
Bagage rollercoaster.. Incredible to see
Above video is unique, well elaboration in brief details.
Thanks for the clip
With
Peace
Josh, another great video !! I like it :) .
Great video Josh. Wonder if the X-ray (after the luggage checked-in and tagged) had picked up something suspicious in the past and how did they handle the situation?
Thanks very much for the interesting video. Really appreciate.
I love that cute zombie gal behind you!Every time camera caught her she tried to hide.
She may have camera phobia. I do. She is just uncomfortable with a video camera aimed at her. I would have the same reaction.
I'm from aberdeen. One of our abz luggage made an appearance haha
Great vid! I couldn’t help but think how much fun it *might* be to hop on the conveyor at check-in and ride it all the way around at 30km/h until its departing flight 😂 must be my inner child
It made me think of Bruce Willis' movie, Die Hard 2. I would enjoy riding on those conveyor belts, too. But, I bet it would be a place where I would not fit.
Brown Harris lol so true!
If I'm checking a bag or case into the hold, I aim to show up at check-in/bag drop two hours before departure. This is because I need time to clear security too. More time than security on the Eurostar or when going to court (I've served on a jury in the Crown Court), because you need to unpack all your electronic devices and put them into a separate tray for screening. And then you need to pack them all back up again.
I would also recommend using online check-in if possible.
Hello thanks you Josh, I think some traveler who don’t know how an airport work they can make easy for luggage claim process with no stamp of other flight. I will add have an insurance on your credit card you pay the airline !
Good video
The bags have fun
The reason why your bag can't travel without you is because that's a measure they put in place after two terrorist bombings of airliners during the 1980s, namely the bombing of an Air India flight off the south-west coast of Ireland in 1985 and, more notably, the bombing of a Pan Am flight above Lockerbie in Scotland in 1988. In both cases the terrorists had checked cases containing bombs into the hold and then not boarded themselves.
Wow you’re so lucky
I watched a similar system for DXB on TV last year. It’s a very complex but intelligent system that identifies where the luggage needs to go but also the security systems that comes with it. What’s SYY for airport code and good on you to identify ABZ as Aberdeen.
Shannon
01:33 You can see a alien body, blurred ready to be sent on one of the planes. Its a secret 🤫
I think baggage systems are conveyer belts an x Ray and the bags are thrown
If you haven't done it yet, I wish you could show us if Frank and Clarence really are funny or are still on southwest airlines. It would be awesome to see you doing an episode of that or just an episode of funny flight attendants.
Very cool, all the FA's are gonna be thrilled a LHR Baggage Manager said it was cool to ask if your bag has been loaded )))))))))
And why was the LHR Social/PR person so shy ?
Fascinating video Josh and well done to you and the Airport team on showing us this amazing system to handle millions of bags a year !! God knows what happens if it breaks down..I shudder to think !! Well done as always mate....great stuff !!
Just brilliant!
Tie two or three colored ribbons around the handle to your luggage to warn others that this is not their luggage. People grab luggage at the turnstile and take it home before you ever see it.
Use a man’s “half windsor” knot for the best look.
Anywhere you put your bag, it could be grabbed in error. Example: overhead compartment, unloaded from the bus, at the hotel lobby, turnstile.....
Lol. " What happens to bags when they get lost?"... "Well basically Heathrow doesn't lose any bags it's because of a missed connection at another airport. Here at Heathrow it's pretty much perfect ". Nice one.
Hello sir! Are bags needs to be collected and checked in again when you have a layover but your airlines is the same (british airways only)
Something doesn't make sense here concerning lost bags.. At one point Nigel said that all bags are matched with the passenger manifest...Do they look for the missed bag or just know that it is missing?
my bag has more fun than I will ever have in my entire life
Wow Josh you look very nice and beautiful amazing video well done 😊😊❤️❤️👍👍
currently doing an assignment on this video.
Thanks for sharing Josh! So interesting to see what happens to our baggages behind the scenes!!
Heavens, that looks incredibly complicated. It was actually making my head spin. A nice counter agent told me years ago, that if I wanted to keep my luggage flight tags as souvenirs I could, just to remove them from my suitcases before flying again to avoid confusing luggage handlers. I've done it ever since.😊
ecclestonsangel: Great tip. I never knew old tags or bar codes confuse the system and delay the bag. Learn something new from you and this video.👍
@@brilliantbutblue neither did I till that nice counter agent told me. Lots of times they just can't be bothered, and think you know. Sometimes, though, you get someone who actually likes his or her job.😊
Now I understand why airports must be so massive
Wow, that's a maze of a baggage system.
All my cases are soft sided and that big sucker tool explains a lot. I'll certainly be rethinking how I pack
Since I was going to Hawaii, I'm assuming my bags went to Greenland.
Hey you forgot to ask what happens if the staff cut or break the customer's luggage ?
Customer would put a claim in with the airline and go from there
@@ChrisLovett1 ah ok i see cheer's thks
how do bags get lost
❤️❤️💕💕
ABZ is indeed Aberdeen
Hi Josh, tell us a bit about you! Where are you from, is travel journalism your job? Cheers, Jason.
Good reason to try google search engine for the first time
Love your videos Josh! 👍
In kerala airports there is no such facilities workers should pick baggage from trolleys with their own hands carrying heavy weight. All airports should adopt these type of equipments to reduce workers burden in work.
Did anyone notice the wrong spelling of the thumbnail “Baggae”?
Hi Josh,
Slowly and surely you are exploring more details not only in the airlines. Soon you'll be like Sam Chui 🙏👍😍 or even better 😅😆😆
Not to compare but i am seeing more interesting news from AVgeeks like you guys. Keep it up 👍👍👍
Faisal Kamaruddin: Josh could never be like Sam Chui, Josh is a gentleman at all times.
@@brilliantbutblue what i meant is his followers 😁😁😁 don't get me wrong 🙏
Faisal Kamaruddin: Thankyou for the clarification👍. You are absolutely correct, Josh is well on his way to becoming bigger and better, especially with content like this. Respect to him!
Most informative video.....thanks to Josh Cahill....
i don't trust the manual pickup luggage handler
I wonder how things were in 50s 60s 70s
Looking handsome mate
Freddie Mercury used to be a baggage handler
And ball handler.
1:00
So will they throw the bags?
LORDBEAST 32 depend on how busy they are they’ll throw them if there’s no time
I am so worried about the baggage retrieval system they got in Heathrow.
What are you worried about?
The tour was great but the documentation looks sporadic...
They hit it with a sledge hammer and shit on it.
So many potential points of failure ... it is a neverending source of worry...
The plane has 10 doors
The bags go through like a roller coaster
I’ve been to Heathrow a couple of times and this is pretty cool to watch thank you and to the staff!
At 8:57 - Is that true that the staff at the gate can see IF your bag is loaded on board your flight??!!?? 😳 How can the gate crew know that? Do they have the bar codes or something? 😲 I have never heard this.
Bags get scanned as they get loaded into a bin or into the loose bag hold so it would show on the system what bin and where the bag has been loaded into and then the guys on the ramp would be able to say whether or not a bin has been loaded into the aircraft yet and the gate crew would be able to see this
Thief’s! Stolen 2 jackets out of my suitcase. Zipper opened on my suitcase and suitcase strap still on. No machine did this. Never again thru London or with British Airways. 😡
Excellent vlog and informative. Can you do in dubai airport soon
Any shop existing for the very nice "Heathrow hats" ?!
You travel in luxury and style but the bags don't see good days during travel.
How agents at the gate or cabin crew can know if your bag is loaded :D Thats so obvious that they are gonna tell you it is :D wtf :D
what is his accent
Thumbnail has an error
Oh yeah
@ 1 minute what was that blur thing in the back ?
carlos
Hey just a tip
You can just do 1:00
And when you do that if you click/touch it, it will send you to that time
Many airlines; including delta ; you can track you bag real time on the phone app
I thought the ladt trying to hide in the background was rather nice!
@JoshCahill You spelled “baggage” wrong in the video image, but it was a great video! 👍
Wow this aged like milk
Hi My Great Friend
This is why you should buy a good quality suitcase.
Herman Lenana: My thoughts exactly! Its definitely not handled softly.
Where is Josh from as I can’t place the accent, German, Australian ?
I think he's German.
💜💜✌✌
Really interesting video Josh! Props to Nigel and the whole LHR team 👍🏼
Nice vlog .. Keep up the quality work
Hi Josh Cahill, please you travel China airline (First class)🛩
Very interesting video. Please try to improve audio quality.
Is she a ghost?
So nearly first comment!
Thanks for the valuable informations really it is so complicate system, please Mr. Josh make one video for pilots daily routine from get out from home till starting the engines.
Exploring the baggage system:
Your bags get checked in and go into the wall never to be seen again
Until baggage claim
Did anyone notice the typo ; baggae
Retro Gamer 44: No l didnt. It must be corrected by the time l looked.
No dude it’s the video itself like you know before you click the vid
Hi Josh, I am the first comment for today's vlog...
Great video Josh
Provides a good insight into the way our bags reach the airplane.
Just a thing that caught my eye
In the thumbnail the spelling of baggage is written wrong...
Kindly correct it...😀😀
What happens? They lose it, that's what happens. Heathrow is the black hole, where bags go to disappear. Avoid at all costs. Terrible airport in all respects.
