Been working on these for close to a decade and this is the first I’ve heard of this tip. Genius. First time really locking my toe edge in the landing on bigger jumps today, took it to a box and rail too. Love it.
"I'm about to change your perspective on a FS360." Me, who's never snowboarded and was brought here by the algorithm, "Yup. This is brand new info to me."
Cool tip, thanks! Never thought about this, I guess because most of my 360s are done in trampoline :) But when moving forward that point moves below you in the opposite direction, so it makes a perfect sense.
I suppose this should also work for butter tricks involving FS 360 like FS 360 noseroll or FS 180 sw tail press sw BS 180 out. Going to try it next time :)
eyes should be on back shoulder when fs360. but hes trying to tell u guys when u hit a large kicker, the kicker angel changes ur take off angle, which mean when u in the air ur back shoulder is pointing to the knuckles . and if u cant find ur back shoulder then u can lock ur eyes on the knuckle coz it makes ur head toward the side of of ur back shoulder. .... then landing blinded. If i wasn't wrong about the explanation. thx
I don’t know if you’d give the same tip for b1 or b5, but I applied it to both of those and I can FINALLY land them clean. F3, 5, 7 have always been on lock and it bummed me out I couldn’t say the same for backside spins. Thanks!
Ok this will help stop any revert I think. Regular front side 3 and switch backside 180 I will revert sometimes. Its kinda like looking back at your tail when landing. Gotta tip like this for back 3's?
I can get fs 360s to work off side hits and small park jumps but they are jerky and weird. Going to try this out to see if I can get them more fluid like my bs 360s. Switch fs spins come super natural to me and I think I do this instinctively but on normal fs I have to really force my body to do anything
We don't know where you heard that, But you should definitely forget it! Looking forward can sometimes be used on the front side. But only after mastering it, And then maybe you would do that for a pow landing.
@@SnowboardAddiction mmmm tommie bennet teaching 360 bs to a girl says as we thrown the lead shoulder we try to spot the landing as soon as possible. honestly, when i do 360backside I usually don't know exactly where i'm looking LoL. In 360frontside I agree with you that its impossible try to look forward
Today I was practicing switch front 3's and trying to get the grab. Got like 3 out of 12 or so. But 1 off the bigger kicker. Seems like smthg to do with popping and bringing my knees up. Often body extends and board is to far away.

That's a hard one we struggle with. What worked for taevis was sizing down in boots, and getting the wide version. This problem changes from person to person tho.
I always hear different things for landing FS 360s. Some people say land blind and look uphill, some say keep your eyes on the landing, some say follow through the 360 with your eyes to end up forward. Literally three different instructions (all from good RUclips riders). Which one is it?!
If you learn this spot trick you will nautrally be looking up hill when you land. We are going to be making a video going deeper into this, But for now just don't be looking forward when you land. You can do it, But only after you mastered the trick, And even then it isn't ideal.
@@SnowboardAddiction it was in like a reel but after I messaged I clicked on it and it went to the page the video was on🤦🏽♂ so I got it now 👍🏼👍🏼 I will see if I have you guy on Instagram if not consider yourselves added lol
I don't think so, since you need to rotate your head around. But since the head leads rotation, maybe you could think about it as trying to spot the landing as soon as possible and then fixing eyes in that direction to stop rotation.
ok i get staying focused on a spot while you spin. wat the fuck is 'theknuckle' exactly though? And how do u innalate a knuckle? I've been outta the game for a while.
You would be surprised at how life changing this tip is! You might not fully understand it's importance, but as you improve your frontside spins you will learn 💪 But Feel free to send us a clip of your frontside 360 and we can see if you actually know how to spot or not;)
It’s a valid tip - most people (including myself in the past) just fling themselves frontside and hope for the best. But this tip is about using your eyes to fixate on a focal point and then training your body’s muscle memory to spin around that point (in somewhat of a helix fashion to accommodate for the way you come around after the first 180). This training process allows you to approach any jump and be wound up in just the right way to ensure you get the 360 all the way around every time, without worrying about flailing or having to force it.
Been working on these for close to a decade and this is the first I’ve heard of this tip. Genius. First time really locking my toe edge in the landing on bigger jumps today, took it to a box and rail too. Love it.

I think that's what made me lock my backside 360s as well, and after you succeed several times you don't even have to think about it anymore! 🙏🏼
Right on!
Such a simple yet brilliant tip. Looking forward to checking it out! Good job!
Glad it was helpful!
Perfectly explained.
Fantastic man. I somehow have managed to land a single 540, but that is actually such a gamechanger for front 3s.
After getting this trick on lock, The 540 will be so much easier!!!
I dont like how these content creators have something everyday that will change my perspective on life

Pretty good tip, makes sense. 🙏
Ive never heard this. I have always whipped my head around to spot my landing.
This will be a game changer!
George Castanza had a version of 'the knuckle', too.
Great tip! Thanks!!
I’m hoping to hit some 360s this year, I was able to hit 180s last year and it was my first year boarding!

@@SnowboardAddiction looking forward to trying it out!
Nice, gonna try it soon perhaps only on a 180 though 👍
Great way to start!
Thanks
🤌🔥 keep the shorts coming!
Will do!!
You did change my perspective. I died today trying this.
Oh no! did you rush taking it to a jump, or fell on the snow?
it helps to have resorts with jumps that big 😂 I’m stuck in the south with tiny ass resorts
Good jumps help! But this trick works for anything frontside.
so good

You're rotating the same direction with backside and switch front side.

Looks like you are starting from the heal edge and landing in the toe edge.
Everytime on a front 3!
my boots feel lose but I get not blood In my feet dont know what im doing wrong. Help!

Does it matter which way i spin? Like the side
This trick only works for Frontside 3s 7s or backside 1s 5s
Everyone wearing the same snow attire, where yall get it??
Taevis rides for tolasmik, So most of his videos will be in there gear.

what about backside?
We have many videos in the works for this season, keep an eye out on your channel! :)
Couldn't you also just look down at the board? Like you would for a backside 1?
That is not hot you should be spotting a back 1, you want to spot the knuckle on any blind landing trick.
Aight so lock u eyes on the knuckle/ spot u wanna land
Sorta, You need to rotate around that spot point. And that's why you need to train this skill on snow before trying it on jumps.
Works as good if not better for BS
I litterally am head down looking front toe whole way even right after landing watching that toe grab
This is so different from what some other people have said. Some say keep your head turned. I tend to do what you do here.
You won't regret using this advice!
i cant front 3 on big jumps lowkey
Probably because of your spot/take-off
@@SnowboardAddiction never even tried😂
Sorry what is a knukle ? English isnt my first language and im not sure if its on your board or on the jump ?
The flat part of the jump you wanna clear to get to the landing.

@@SnowboardAddiction okay I m waiting for this tuto ;) thank you
Pshhh I've been Jerry landing these blind for years and Jerry ain't changing 😜

No idea what you are talking about, i just know to leave on the edge and rotate based on distance. Slow for large jumps, fast for smaller features.
You will find that your level will max out fast if you keep doing it like that.
@@SnowboardAddiction or will my 15 year old board break first? Hmmm there is always the unknown

But you can't see the knuckle at the start?
Al you can see it when you are on top of the ramp.
