I've always loved the swooping curviness that the Stormtrooper helmets and armor have. It seems like they are the culmination of retro-futurism aesthetics brought to their fullest potential. You'd expect sci-fi bad guys to have very angular armor like we see constantly these days. And although many bad guy uniforms that follow the prevailing contemporary aesthetic language are cool, they just don't spark the imagination juices in my brain the way that Stormtrooper armor does. There's just something whimsical about it. I'm curious to know if anyone else feels this way. Some other designs that embody that whimsical Star Wars design language are imperial guard helmets and rebel helmets. I would love to see you do a deep dive into the history of the design of either of these!
What Ainsworth is selling is not close to authentic in any way. It’s a pretty bad knock-off in both the helmet and the suit itself. I know because i purchased one and it was bad. Another company based in the UK RS Propmasters do have an exact replica.
Liz Moore and Brian Muir designed the original Stormtrooper helmet. And Moore was the artist that sculpted it and the C3P0 helmet. Don’t believe me? Google “Liz Moore” and see for yourself. Ainsworth’s involvement was he had a vacuum form machine and could mass produce helmets for the film. But he was never involved in the creative process. Ainsworth is a fraud.
Me gusto mucho la historia..podria reunir los videos de solo los cascos...escultores y detalles ...no hay mucha información en you tube respeto a eso 🎉 saludos desde Perú 🇵🇪
Dude, you're alive!
Been rooting for the Imps since ol' 77...
I only recently realized the buckets are supposed to be skulls.

Horribly underrated video!
Love this channel
Your history of the stormtrooper is off. Talk to Brian Muir
Great video! Perhaps I shouldn't be saying this, but it's so weird this video has so few views.
This is a confused version of events

Ralph was the original creator as any models whatever colour made were from his illustrations, end off.
"Tickinham.", TWICKENHAM I Think he means.
Primus
You “explanation” at 4:30 of why Lucas couldn’t collect is terrible. Try again.
