    The good will hunting part had me cracking up LOL I just got done soldering to a micro all in one with like 1mm between the motor pads LOL

      thanks menace! And damn, soldering on those tiny boards is advanced skill for sure. Still have nightmares about them.

    Great video! For the pilots who are curious about 900mhz systems on micro quads, you can DIY a quarter wave antenna easily, with any u.fl cable. That produces antennas that are about the same length as 2.4ghz systems. You don't need that giant half-wave antenna flopping out the back.

      Thanks for the info! Thats a really nice tip. I was also advised by the devs, that in a racequad where i broke off the ceramic antenna, to solder on a 30mm section of wire, and its worked great for me (for short range race distances)

      Do you like ELRS? How do you like them ELRS?

      @@JonE5FPV I do in fact! I have been flying the happymodel 2.4G TX and EP1 RX for a few weeks now and it has been great. No more worrying about the ol' FrSky failsafe and I can really feel a difference in the latency. When I switched to the 250hz refresh rate on ELRS I nearly had to re-learn the sticks. I am looking forward to seeing more ELRS integrated into boards like these and come as BNF in other micros as well. Keep showing them to us!

      It's brushed whoops that are so hard to fly in acro

      Det crashed this one a lot, its VERY fast for indoors. gonna try the new mob6 with elrs and 2 blade props to compare, and see if i can get fast with less crashing on that one.

    It's in this thing! Sweet AIO, thanks for the review. I want to get Shark Byte especially for the micro HD experiance.

    • @JonE5FPV
      @JonE5FPV  3 года назад +2

      You bet! Sharkbyte micros are def lighter than DJI so far. still not small enough for this size, but if you bump up to 2" a ton of possibilities open up.

      @@JonE5FPV hey, I would really like a video on how to make a drone faster. Everyone is trying to get long flight times, but I want to know how to make my drone faster.
      Catalyst machineworks massive droner HD with 1507 4200 KV Motors...i need more speed!

    I bought one of these ELRS AIO boards. Unfortunately it was DOA out of the box. Everything works as it should, except that the camera feed through the goggles goes black after about 4 seconds. I got refunded for it, but I was really looking forward to some nano long range, as well as indoor fun this winter. I'm hoping I can repair the board and use it, but for now I'm stuck waiting new parts.

    express lrs 900mhz on 5 inch. still doing spi for whoops and 2s toothpicks. just need to fly in my house or on my property so it works for now. Wishlist; a new radio with 2.4 ELRS built in . I am thinking it's not far fetched

    • @JonE5FPV
      @JonE5FPV  3 года назад +1

      man, i am really wanting ELRS built in as well. Crossing my fingers on that one, even if it means i gotta buy another radio.

      @@JonE5FPV did your pit mode work on that happymodel AIO? We have people claiming that the smart audio doesn't work right and the VTX puts out 50mw no matter the settings.

    For a lil micro like this, the Xtra range not really something I would use but....gimme that low latency...

    don't throw out the old spi receiver board, just swap the control link on it to redpine

      true, can always add your own RX and end up with a nice cheap $100 build kit
