A positive trainer once used my lab for a demo. The nutjob marched around clicking away like a cricket in one hand and getting my lab to follow with a piece of hotdog in the other. She them proclaimed all you needed was a clicker to make a dog do what you wanted while failing to note my lab would have walked through the fires of Hades for a hotdog.
Absolutely excellent! I’ve happened onto your info after taking on a 3 month old lab. I’ve had a few dogs and you are the only person I’ve seen with whom I totally agree. Spot on and excellent!
I’m really enjoying your videos. Have a working Cocker and we are planning on introducing either a lab or another cocker in May. Thanks for the videos.
So awesome Will that you have a Lab only channel. Enjoy your other stuff as we're doing boot camp also with my just turned one year "working line Labrador" who is Reilly's double. Thanks.
Just recently found your videos and they are great! I love your straightforward approach and you make it simple to understand. I have a 9 month old yellow lab and I’ve done a lot of things wrong and have now ended up with a very unruly dog. I recently hired a trainer (before I found your videos) and I love that what she is teaching us is very similar to what your teaching, and it’s working!!
Awesome!!! Because my Lab has a problem when seeing other small animals like rabbit or squirrels especially a flock of birds ! Lol and when she spots one she wont listen to me 🤨
Is 5 years old too late to train? I walk my black lab off leash on forest trails/hillside. She is good enough if we meet other dogs/people she will come back to me and let me put leash on. If she sniffs a deer she loses the head, ignores my commands and comes back bedraggled 15 mins later - usually 2 or 3 times on our 2 hour walks. My main concern is she will injure herself chasing deer through brush and undergrowth.
I'm really struggling with getting my lab to pay attention to me whenever he sees another dog, his highest motivator is playing with other dogs, even a sharp tug on the slip lead doesn't stop him.
Best Lab content on RUclips.
Totally agree!!!!

Lol I detest clickers.
