He watched your performance of don’t let the old man in - it has uplifted his spirit. He gets so down sometimes and you have given him hope. He was 280 and it now struggling to get back to 160. My best friend weighed 260 when he was diagnosed with liver and pancreated cancer already in stage 4. Had his mother and 2 brothers had let me care for him, I believe he would have still been here. They moved in and was feeding him garbage to-go food. He stopped eating because he couldnt digest anymore. He went to cranberry juice, then apple juice, then water. He lasted 28 days. There's a show out of Texas called Know The Cause with Doug Kaufman. They really have some good information on there on fighting cancer. God Bless You Guys❤! Prayers for you!❤
Toby was real. If we had more people like him, this world would be a better place. The reason why so many people loved him was because they saw a friend in Toby , not just a great performer. He will be missed!

I had stage 4 cancer in my lower jaw and under my tongue last year in May 22 and the cancer doctor done reconstruction surgery. He took 3 small pieces of bone in my lower right leg for a new lower jaw and a skin graft of my upper left leg. He did get all the cancer out and so far I'm cancer free. I thank God every day that I'm cancer free.
I felt sad hearing Toby say he wishes his dad could have been there. Toby sounds like he was a great supportive father. Wonderful guy, sad he left us way too soon.

What a kind and classy comment! We see, all too often, commenters who are just so mean spirited towards others, especially celebrities, b/c they’re in the public eye so much. It’s like if they don’t particularly like a certain person’s music, they can’t say anything empathetic, sympathetic, or just anything kind, period. I came to love country music b/c of all the greats from 35+ years ago. I admired, liked, and respected Toby (and not to bad on the 👀with that deep voice to match the big man he was) He was an excellent songwriter/singer and he stuck it out and never gave up and I’m sure it took having a lot of support and sacrifice from his family but the payoff was great! He was unapologetically himself. He seemed like a great family man. Tricia, his wife, already had her daughter Krystal when he met her and adopted her after he/Tricia got married, so he helped raise her as his own. He looked so bad towards the end. It’s heartbreaking to watch a strapping, big man, like Toby waste away. He gave it his all and was probably exhausted and ready to close his eyes and rest in peace. He will be greatly missed.

I lived in Clinton Oklahoma for years during the oil boom. When the bottom fell out I brought my family back home to Cape cod. I am proud to say I raise my children there for 10 years. And we were sooner fans rest in peace Toby you are a power of example have a wonderful human being. My heart breaks for your family. Fly high and sing with the angels.
