Great video - for both content and production quality. (Browsing through the comments: Ah come on people, a guitar is a synth -for skilled people- with one highly flexible preset patch, 6 voice polyphony and a somewhat rudimentary keyboard. :-)
Hahahhaha ... definitely needed some better loving care on the set up (chuckles). I hope ur not employed by Recording King because ... umm ... YOU'RE FIRED! LOL Tks for the entertainment.
Seems perfect for mucking about with. Ironically, considering the name, I wouldn't want to record with it. But yeah, for just playing about- why not? I do like the colour!
hello scott, fair point on the recording! funny but I had my best friend's dad who worked at a body shop respray my first ever guitar in a very similar color (a real catalogue guitar btw)! This was 40 years ago...
HNY! I afforded the same guitar for Christmas, and it had exactly the same issue (2:47) on the 11th fret. Claimed money back and ordered another one from Thomann. Second time I had more luck - the instrument is quite playable and sounds great. I really enjoy playing it, however I'm not a complete beginner, moreover I'm a tall, large-handed man.
michael, that's very interesting to read! maybe I bought your b-stock...?! well, thomann offered me a discount, which i used to help buy my banjo! great customer service, as always from thomann.
@@WoodyPianoShack not at all - mine was in sunburst, it had been equipped with kinda Fishman pickup (the new one has a gold foil instead) and shipped from Slovakia. The luthier said it came overdried that's near inevitable. But looks like Thomann knows how to preserve it in a better condition. The only irritating defects are a bit shabby fretmarks after a few days of playing and 6th string buzz on 12th fret, both of them aren't fatal.
@@WoodyPianoShack Even if you don't use a Mac, you should try and get hold of a one for a few days. I think it would surprise you! Good luck in your new home! 👍
Happy New Year Woody! I did comment on New Years Day to you but obviously my comment was deleted and not by you. This has been happening to me a lot and on many channels. That color is...um, well umm, ya..it's umm, mhm. Well anyways, Sears also comes to mind where you could order all sorts of instruments and amps from them. I think Eaton's did too. Eaton's was a Canadian retailer store founded in 1869. Sears was founded much later in 1892. One you decide to get a fret job which it needs, I am curious to hear it recorded with a backing track you might want to whip up to demonstrate the true beauty of a buried and forgotten 'on purpose' archeological find...haha.
well i see this comment candle! i don't have the playing skills or gear to make a great recording, bakcing track or not! Wow, those catalogs have been around a while! Yeah, I'll probably take a sanding block and file to those frets. They bothered me at first, but now I just don't play up there and life is good.

Why did you move homes? are you downsizing? I am considering downsizing but finding the right size property is very hard, they are either too small or too large and the gardens are too small or non existant that it makes moving pointless. That guitar is neat!
Disappointing video. I thought I was going to see some wonderful plug-in that allows keyboard players to replicate acoustic guitars using a keyboard. Instead, I got advert for a rubbish, cheapo guitar.
Legend has it he's still at the dock holding on for dear life! - Happy New Year everyone!
same to you cresshead! SPLASH!
Looks like a great little guitar for beginners! Love that colour.

if only the guitar had a built-in arp
Great review. You’ve covered every important aspect.
