ESTP Most Annoying Traits - we all have annoying traits. There are amazing gifts we have that we shouldn't try to change, and there are also some edges that need refined. In this series... we're focusing on the edges.... with a fun tongue-in-cheek title.
✨ "We are all works of art and artists working on ourselves." ✨
If you'd like to see a video where I point out the ESTP strengths: • ESTP Personality In-De...
I've known some GREAT ESTPs!!! Half the guys I dated were ESTPs. They can be SUPER well rounded - funny, charismatic, smart, philosophical. Well rounded ESTPs are really the whole package. And they're Garrett's favorite type fun fact.
*we probably said something imprecisely so just imagine we said "it depends" before everything we said ;)

IME as an INTP, ESTPs were definitely my biggest bullies. I've also had a few "savior" ESTPs who took me under their wing. Healthy ESTPs are really awesome!

ESTP bullying is beat-you-down-to build-you-up. Doing it for your own good the proverbial have a cup of concrete and harden up

Ive been both sad to say. Elementary school I was definitely a bully. In high school I 180d and made it a point to include “quieter” types in my friend group. But I think its hard to tell where trauma impacts a personality compared to what the essence of someone really is

As an ESTP woman, I have to bite my tongue really hard around anyone who likes telling sexist/racist jokes, I find that humor so unattractive and unintelligent lol. But I love stupid humor, dry humor, and what I describe as kid humor. Like, one of my favorite kid jokes is, "Why don't dinosaurs have any friends? ...Because they're all dead." It's so innocent and obvious, but is also strangely dark - I love it so so much, I cackle every time I think of it.
I have a work friend who, when I make stupid jokes, just says with a super dry tone, "You're so funny," and then walks away in silence. They're one of my favorite people and I think THEY are so funny~ I'm just a clown 🤡 No surprise there.
Also was a total Kaitlin Bennett type when my mental health was in the crapper. We all have dark days...

@@ericstephenson145 Even if they are not internally, it is like they are taught to be offended at certaing things. I've seen people literally acting offended and then actually getting offended because they acted so and persuaded themselves. I'm facepalming so hard at this.

That sweet, I’m ESTP female and don’t mind any joke, even if it is racist or sexist. In my head jokes are just jokes 🤷‍♀️

the passive agressive part is more like Fi, what you describe is selective inattention. Which they avoid the unpleasant aspects of a problem or person

Hi. Bisexual mixed woman ESTP in Canada. Lol. This honestly feels like this is really off base and misunderstanding lol how we function. But I understand the conclusions made too. Also literally sounds like ur often describing specifically trump supporter (likely white male American obviously these people have a very particular set of values lol ) and like from Idaho. Sooo for me it’s like , hey guys, perhaps this is hugely altering the types of estp you meet lol and not reflective of estp in general … anywho. I like ur channel! Just offering some perspective that really potentially changes the conclusions you’re coming to about what manifests to annoy the general public about us 😂 to be clear we are and can be lol 😂 but this feels really off base to me honestly in some ways

Estp show up as Braham. Loud. Boastful. Unfaithfull. Suspicious. Self aware on the surface. Like wearing certain labels. Yet blind to the kind of person they are. Thats just the negative stuff that I see in them.

Ok I cannot help but comment again, interesting that Estp is Garrett’s favorite type, I have a weird relationship to them, drawn to them but they drove me crazy too and as lead Ne, the commitment to the sensory is really hard for me. I had two mom friends at one time, estp and isfp, and while I did more with the estp, we were both very active, the isfp was my safe resting place friend. We could talk for hours when we got together, she was so emotionally honest, which I loved. But I could never tell how
Much she wanted to work me into her FiNi life. So then we drifted bc I am not the best at proactively pursuing others either. The estp is and just stuck. I see on social media my isfp bff is an estp! She would talk about how this person drove her crazy, but the estp was very very sensorily engaged and would
Pull the isfp out of her shell and get her Se going. My best reliably safe resting place friends are my longtime infp and infj friends. I’m either entp or enfp.

I have a lot of estp in my life, my older brother to start and I always felt in his shadow. He didn’t do well in school like me, however, who gets attention for that in the world. Haha. He could become an expert at any sport he picked up and really shined, very quick to make friends, very socially engaged and if they decide to do something, they just do it! Yes, snobby about brands like esfp and if you want to know what is in now, like today, look to them. They can be very socially opportunistic and show offy, amp it up when insecure, yes. So “out there.” You rarely have to question what is in their heads. They are not subtle or mysterious. Many are sevens and eights on enneagram, so that adds something. Emma chamberlain is my favorite celebrity estp!

Oh my gosh yes, live with a shoe in their mouth! My mom friend cracks me up what she will say to her kids, even. Soooo honest…they could be verbally abusive on the bad side but hilarious on the upside.

Me (estp) When i was younger maybe even now my sister (intj) hated me because im not doing anything special but i would get more attention and shes like valedictorian in school and stuff she definetly would get attention but for some reason shes jealous of me because she thinks our parents and everyone treat me better and she thinks shes not appreciated enough and im over appreciated it really sucks to hear that

WRT to moral objections to jokes, ESTPs are pushing back at the very idea that one would have a "moral" objection to a joke, any joke, due to eggs very nature of humor.
If you have to walk on eggshells, humor is totally dead.

I'm not sure if ESTPs have no future plans. All of those I know have a very intense personal goal into the future. If they are healthy I believe to be the case. This is what gives them the motivation to do so much... It's usually towards a big goal in their lives 🤔

    • @Markbenwisch
      @Markbenwisch 8 месяцев назад +1

Having a goal like an ideal is not equal to have a 20 years plan that is like a step by step concept. It's more like following a bright star than following a path others forged in front of you. The path is in that case just an Instrument to follow a short period of time. But not all the time. Be adaptable or go under!
