  • Someone asked me to make a video on how to make a stir fry. I show you what ingredients I use. I don't have recipes, all my cooking is made up. I open the fridge, look in the freezer, and check the cupboard then select what I am going to put in a meal. Chop some vegetables, in a pan with a splash of oil, add flavours, stir on a low heat. Takes a few minutes.

I love how you live Ilona, and I love your videos. I’m a 52 yr old female living in the NE and I’ve been following you for ages now. We try to make our money go as far as we can these days too. Our cats actually eat better than us most of the time. We make sure they have their fresh raw chicken every night. We buy in bulk. Can’t afford it for us haha. 😊

The other day I did a little stirfry I’m not veggie so we used some burgers cooked and diced, sliced some peppers and diced some potatoes fried them all together then added hoisin sauce. It was really rather yummy for something I just made up in my head. Could’ve cooked some couscous to add to it also. My hubby accidentally added a tin of fruit cocktail to a stir fry but it didn’t quite work coz of the syrup. Xx
Would love to see a typical morning and evening routine (not just skin care) and how u are preparing to keep warm this winter? Stay safe and keep well ilona xx

If I use oxo to make gravy, I cut in half, as so expensive now. I seem to remember you used to crumble them into a jar, and take a little as needed.❤

Yes, I did crumble stock cubes into a jar. The cheap ones I get from Aldi don't crumble now. I think they changed the recipe. I take a little bit off with a knife.

I've been eating Quorn since 1996 and I'm fine. It's low fat and high in protein and absorbs all of the flavours you put in so it's very good if you don't eat meat. It's like eating chicken.

I write my blog most days. You can look back on the last 16 years if you feel so inclined. Yes, I am wide awake, have been following the unfolding events ever since they said we had to have a specific treatment. I did not want to do that. I have a separate blog on the current situation. Check out the Rabbit Hole on my sidebar.

Stir fry, bungit stew, easiest things to make... You use what's in the fridge and either fry it or stew it or bake it.... We are lucky we learned to cook from childhood... or you didn't eat, simples. No fast food other than the chippy, and you had to get off your backside and go and get it yourself... No wonder there are such obesity problems ... pure laziness and no portion control. Like you I live alone and do batch cook...There are some great Japanese channels who do special cooking lessons if people want to learn. Sadly no home economics in schools these days...
