Poor construction, cutting corners, on pricey development in unstable land, is a major investment in self defeat.
Enough multimillion valued property owners get together, hire Geotechnical and structural engineers, and solve this problem, maybe the coast will hold the line for a few more decades. Ground splitting earthquakes and active Volcanoes, not withstanding.

Due to abnormal ocean heating, rainfall and floods are rapidly increasing. They have become atypically strong and destructive. And the more the ocean heats up, the more water will evaporate from its surface and, as a consequence, the number of floods, storms and hurricanes will increase.
Between 1970 and 1979, there were 260 major floods. And from 2014 to 2023 there have already been more than 1,500 (!) major floods. That's a difference of more than 6 times.

There is nothing abnormal about the ocean temps. This is just nonsense. Nor are the floods any worse than the past. There may be more people effected because of population density changes, and we are more aware of floods do to easy access to media, but the weather cycle is typical. Weather is primarily effected by solar and volcanic activity. The sun is moving into a more active cycle and we will see the weather change because of it. There are over 100 active, erupting volcanoes in the world right now. None of this is abnormal.
