Just gotta say this rom hack is aMAZEing! Definitely would be more enjoyable if there was a checkpoint right before the giant Caterkiller though, that way the player wouldn't have to replay the whole maze every time they died. Short and sweet and quite fun, good job! BTG 5ever (cuz 5 is greater than 4)

idk if this would've helped for the maze, but try following the right hand rule (you look at the right side{in this case you have a bird's eye view of the maze} and follow where the wall goes and eventually, you will reach the end)
