Everyone wants to know Ali Abdaal's shorts editing style, but there is not that much good information on how to do it in Davinci Resolve, so that's exactly why I made this video!

If you're on the studio version of Resolve you dont need to generate a green screen using the AI website shown at the start. You can just use magic mask within Resolve which will automatically remove your background and add transparency removing the need to add a DeltaKeyer!
You can also manually mask out your subject instead if you're on the free version which does take more time than using the magic mask but I just thought I should mention that just in case anybody wants to avoid using other sites and/or software and just want to stay inside of Resolve for majority of their process.

Nice vid, to get rid of the black line without masking some more you can go into the settings of the merge node, under the channel setting where it says high and low, turn down the high to like .1 and that should generally work, the mask might just look a tiny bit blocky sometimes

Hey, Sorry for the question I’m a noob haha. I didn’t find the setting, at the settings of the merge node, I could only find "blend" what I could adjust. Where can I find high and low?
at the top of the inspector there is a tab that says settings@@leonadilbaev

@@mattanvideoeditingty for replying, I actually managed to find the solution of the problem apparently it was because I messed with the size settings in the edit page.
Also why does my timeline in the fusion page have negative numbers?
